Chapter 201: Zarek Joins The Battle!
The hunched Telekinetic Grandmaster was pushed through the air upon bracing the impact of the slash of two black lightning.
Then Drayken and the others continued to advance rapidly.
The army had barely prepared themselves before they met head-on with the Dragons.
Terrifying booms sounded through the air, and the air itself trembled as the Dragons and the humans attacked each other.
Even though individually they might not be matched, in an army, their strength was almost united and, for a moment, was even able to contend with the Tier Seven Dragons' attack.
The entire sky violently rumbled and echoed from the unison of the impact, and space itself seemed to have torn apart.
However, the Dragons quickly seized their opportunity and pushed back the human army with swift precision. After all, they didn't even have a single Telekinetic Grandmaster to lead the charge.
And even ten Telekinetic Masters could barely face a single Rank 7 Dragon.
"Melissa, are you continuing to obstruct me?" the Telekinetic Grandmaster roared, his eyes bloodshot as he looked at the army.
"..." Melissa continued to swing her rapier without a word, attacking swiftly with the help of the electromagnetic wings, her movements filled with swiftness and grace.
If the Telekinetic Grandmaster tried to use his Telekinetic power to stop her, Melissa would immediately go for his vital spot, while the disc somehow managed to offset his Telekinetic powers…
Leaving the Grandmaster a little helpless for a moment.
Her rapier was strong and swift enough that even his powerful defense, which could withstand the weight of a heavy mountain, couldn't protect him from her fierce attack.
"Fine then," he gritted his teeth and closed his eyes for a moment.
Then, extending his hand, a strong force surged outward.
"You…" Melissa's eyes immediately narrowed as she halted her attack just in time.
Back in the battle between the Dragons and the Army.
The human army was constantly being pushed back by the volley of spells from the dragons.
Layers of frost formed in the skies.
Fire brightened the entire sky.
And they were slowly but surely advancing toward the Dragon Kingdom.
Drayken also wielded his two katanas, sending slash after slash of black lightning at the humans before him.
The air tore apart under his slash, and the humans were cleaved through as the devastating arc continued, undaunted and undefeated.
Only after cutting down ten Level Nine humans did the slash finally dissipate.
Just then, the Telekinetic Grandmaster, who had been sent hurtling through the air, returned, launching a counterattack.
Five Rank Seven dragons immediately converged, focusing their assaults on him.
This opened a brief window of respite, allowing the human forces to regroup and resume their assault on the dragons.
The tide of battle flipped instantly.
Meanwhile, Zarek, still bound, quietly communicated with Drayken in his mind.
"Should I help?"
"No," Drayken responded within his mind, shaking his head.
If Zarek intervened to assist the dragons, his identity would be completely exposed.
Zarek still needed to remain on the human side so that they could maintain the balance between the dragons and the humans, rule the race together, and figure something out.
But if he attacked now, the plan would be completely ruined.
So he was absolutely not allowed to act.
Just then, a loud rumble sounded.
Drayken's pupils were drawn to the scene, and he was utterly stunned on the spot.
The frail Telekinetic Grandmaster erupted with a giant shadow shaped like a demon that spread outward.
And in the shadow demon's hand, Melissa lay tightly clenched in its grip.
"A mutant Telekinetic Grandmaster!?" Drayken's pupils violently distorted.
However, something was wrong.
The frail Grandmaster's eyes were filled with rage as red veins appeared in them, his shadow shaped like a demon trying to crush Melissa.
Drayken muttered some words in his mind, which Zarek listened to.
Then, in one of the sword strikes, a human was pushed in the direction where Zarek was bound.
The woman was about to rejoin the battlefield. Although fear was written all over her eyes, she was still about to bravely rejoin the fight.
Just then, she heard a deep male voice:
"Help me."
The woman turned and found that it was Zarek.
"Oh, it's you," she murmured, a thoughtful glint in her eyes. For a brief moment, an unspeakable anger surged within them, but in the end, she sighed and let it go.
'Shit, just my damn luck…' Zarek cursed internally, eyes widening as he recognized her armor. She was a soldier of the Reinhart Empire, the very same empire whose Rank 9 camp he had once crushed.
But, to his complete surprise, she helped undo his bindings without hesitation, leaving him stunned.
"We're all fighting for humanity," she said, extending her hand. Her abyss-black hair fluttered in the wind like that of a war-touched heroine.
Zarek took her hand, pulled himself up, and dusted off his armor.
"…Thank you."
"Hmm… as long as you help us fight those dragons, even if your contribution is minimal, it still counts."
"Yes." Zarek nodded, a confident smile spreading across his face.
Then, with a sudden stomp, he launched into the air, the ground cracking beneath his foot as a deafening sonic boom tore through the atmosphere.
"Ah!" The woman's eyes widened in shock. The violent gust that followed slammed into her like a tidal wave, nearly knocking her off her feet and hurling her into a nearby tree.
"He's that strong?" She clenched her jaw, heart racing, as she steadied herself.
Without wasting another second, she soared into the sky with the help of her sword she channeled her Telekinesis to it, chasing after the blur of Zarek.
As her eyes followed Zarek, she was stunned because he didn't go to fight Drayken instead he directly shot further away dodging all the people and reaching far away where the frail Telekinetic Grandmaster was.
Bang!
Zarek's kick struck directly against the shadow of the frail Grandmaster. Stunned, the frail Grandmaster was blasted through the air, dragged along with the shadow demon, and finally, Melissa was freed.
Without hesitation, Zarek swept Melissa into a princess carry, his gaze locked on the frail Grandmaster. His hammer hovered in front of him by the help of his Telekinesis then he gripped it tightly in his hand. Then, with deadly calm, he pointed it at the man:
"How dare you?"
His voice alone shook the very air around them while mumbling in his heart:
'I just need an excuse to fight you and keep you occupied.'
