My SSS-Rank Clone Talent: I Level Up Endlessly!

Chapter 171:

Drayken slowly opened his eyes. Seeing the beautiful face of Synthia, his heart couldn't help but feel warm, like the comfort of a home.

He also noticed an arm behind him, hugging him tightly in an embrace.

Seeing this, he frowned.

Of course, he knew who this hand belonged to.

But why was she here, embracing him so intimately?

And right in front of his wife, no less?

Drayken felt like someone deserved a good beating, but when he thought about the poor state of the girl before she came under his care, he couldn't bring himself to do anything.

He, of course, still had a modern mind and felt bad for the poor girl. Although he wanted to make her his guard and pushed her to the limits, her condition was vulnerable, and he didn't want to traumatize her again…

"Sigh, I'm still too soft-hearted," Drayken sighed in the end.

At that moment, Synthia slowly opened her eyes and blinked. Her gaze dropped to where a slender hand was embracing him:

"Who is this woman?" her brows twitched.

"Umm, I can explain," Drayken replied with a bitter smile.

"You bastard…"

A loud sound rang through the room, echoing off the walls.

Bang!

Hearing the loud sound, the servants outside wore strange expressions but continued with their work, after all, it was none of their business.

After some loud bangs and crashing, the room finally returned to silence.

"Relax, this is a complete misunderstanding," Drayken whispered in her ear, pulling her into a deep French kiss, their tongues dancing in symphony as if fighting for dominance.

"Mhm…" Synthia simply closed her eyes and embraced him, enjoying the moment.

The perpetrator who caused this scene stood frozen, a speechless expression on her face.

Rowaena looked at Drayken with a slightly apologetic look.

'Even I don't know when, but I must have been sleepwalking… I somehow ended up in the master's bed without realizing it and hugged him tightly afterward. It's definitely strange.' she thought to herself, her expression shifting through a mix of emotions.

She felt a warmth she hadn't experienced in a long time, which made her heart happy, though she still felt regretful that Drayken had gotten into trouble because of it.

After some time, Drayken and Synthia finally separated, a thin trail of saliva connecting them for a moment.

Their eyes, locked on each other, were filled with love and warmth.

"Have you calmed down, dear?" Drayken asked.

"No," Synthia replied. Then her gaze shifted to the side, toward Rowena. "Tell me what happened. Did he force you?"

"No, milady," Rowena said, bowing her head. "I have a habit of sleepwalking while I'm asleep, which caused this to happen. I'm sorry."

Synthia drew a breath of hot air and sighed. "Fine, fine. We're getting late, let's get dressed. Today is the Dragon Festival, after all."

"Yes," Drayken agreed without hesitation.

Soon after, they came out of their house, greeted by the servants, and had lunch before heading into the streets to take in the festive atmosphere.

Children played with bright smiles on their faces, hawkers called out their goods, and the entire street buzzed with vibrant energy, radiating a rare sense of peace.

As they walked through the crowd, cheers and shouts could be heard from up ahead.

Curious, Drayken moved toward the commotion. There, he saw numerous husbands bidding farewell to their wives and children, to their families.

Going on a dragon hunt was a dangerous job, one misstep could mean death. The hunters needed to be extremely careful in their every action from this point forward, for one mistake could ensure they'd never see their families again.

This parting felt like a final farewell. Countless tears fell to the ground. Some wives wept in sorrow, children cried out for their fathers… and mothers…

Drayken watched the scene with an expressionless face, his fist clenched tightly beneath his sleeves.

Though his face showed nothing, his mind was far from still.

After all, humans were still human. They felt sadness, just like dragons did when their loved ones fell.

In this world, dragons and humans were like two sides of the same coin, bound together by fate, yet unable to coexist due to the countless grudges that stained their histories.

'What is the point of this endless killing, if all it brings is an unbroken cycle of grief and pain for both sides?'

At that moment, a thought was born in his heart, one that would shape the very future of the world.

'I will become the strongest among both humans and dragons… and bring peace to both.'

His bloodline surged, boiling within him.

Veins bulge across every fiber of his being.

A tearing pain exploded through his body.

Drayken was changing, transforming, as his bloodline erupted in full. Arcs of lightning danced and crackled around him, wild and untamed.

[You have fully awakened the power of your bloodline.]

[You have gained the exclusive skill: <Lord of Lightning>]

[Lower-tier skill detected... <Raijin's Conduit>... merging with the new skill...]

[Congratulations! You have gained the exclusive skill: <Supreme Lord of Lightning>]

<Supreme Lord of Lightning>

Lightning is your servant, your will is its command. You may bend it at will, every spark, every storm shall bow before you. You are the Supreme Lord of Lightning.

"Ho…" he exhaled, his breath cold, his eyes flashing with a sharp glint.

At that moment, the entire sky shifted, clouds churned and thunder roared across the heavens.

Lightning crackled with a deafening boom.

Drayken extended his hand and slowly closed his eyes.

"This power… is so fascinating."

At the same time, his Level Three Dragon bloodline broke through, advancing directly to Level Four.

The people nearby panicked as they saw the skies darken without warning.

But with a mere shift of thought, Drayken willed the clouds away, and the sky cleared once more, revealing the bright sun.

"What's going on with today's weather?"

"Is it a bad omen?"

"No… this must mean even the human god is here to bless us!"

Hearing the murmurs and whispers around him, Drayken simply shook his head.

Synthia glanced at him and asked without hesitation, "Did you do that?"

"Yeah," Drayken replied with a light chuckle.
