Chapter 54: Dealing with a thorn
Well, after a little more observation, I went in. The place was a typical basketball venue, so I had escape routes just in case.
The conversation they were having suddenly stopped as I opened the door. I could feel many pairs of eyes on me, and most of them widened when they saw me enter. I almost gagged when I saw several guys wearing what I could only describe as too-short mini shorts and tops that barely covered their tops. Add to that the fact that some had pom-poms and others had canes, it looked like the fantasy of a very strange girl or a boy addicted to femboys.
However, the one that stood out the most was a boy who quickly ran up to me and hugged me.
He sank his head into my chest and said in a choked voice, "Alex!" He then pulled away, noticing his voice being muffled by me, and looked into my eyes with joy, but quickly narrowed his eyes and turned his head away with a pout on his face as he crossed his arms. He even leaned forward slightly like one of those cute anime girls, only seeing it on a boy was extremely disturbing.
"Why didn't you come the last few days? we even thought we'd all go together to look for you today."
I looked around and everyone seemed to have approached me, nodding their heads, except for one boy who crossed his arms as he spat out a few words. "I wish I hadn't come back." He said without looking at me.
"Chris..." The boy next to me shook his head and sighed when the aforementioned Chris just snorted, "Don't mind him."
However, it seemed that being ignored was not in the boy's plans, for he steeled himself as he turned his angry gaze back to me. "No," he said, then began to walk towards me with a scowl on his face. "You Alex, our 'captain' doesn't come to practice like the rest of us and all he gets is a warm hug? We have a game coming up and we are needed, in my opinion Alex should be kicked out of the Cub for his lack of commitment!" He proclaimed, looking straight at me, trying to look menacing, but much of that menace was lost in the top and shorts he was wearing.
"Hey, getting kicked out is a bit...." Someone started to say, but I interrupted.
"You are right"
"Huh?" Even the guy who was shooing me away looked puzzled.
Didn't he just give me the perfect excuse? I had to use it no matter what. "I'm a bad captain, so I'm quitting the club."
Another guy, slightly sweaty from the rehearsal, came up shaking his head and looking completely angry and confused, "Huh?! Alex, you're our leader, the choreography we do, you came up with it!"
Geh... I came up with it?
"I'm sorry, but... Chris is right, you deserve better." I said, shaking my head in obvious sadness.
“Alex…”
Hey, please don't see me with tears in your eyes, it's creepy and it makes me feel bad.
"Alex... "One guy said, knocking me out slightly, and when he saw that I wasn't going to back down, he turned to Chris in anger and slapped him! "This is all your fault!" He said, lunging to grab Chris's hair.
What the fuck?!
I didn't think they liked me that much! Now Chris is defending himself and also pulling the boy's hair and they both look like cats in the middle of a fight. And instead of separating them, the other guys started yelling, just what the fuck?
I immediately stepped between them when I realized that no one was going to do anything, and I preferred not to have to involve a teacher for such a stupid reason. After a few seconds, I separated them with difficulty. They were both disheveled and tussling like cats fighting, but when I saw that they didn't seem to be fighting again, I spoke quickly.
"This is nobody's fault, it's just my decision, I don't want to fight, okay?" I said in a harsh tone.
They both lowered their heads. "Okay..."
I nodded in satisfaction before saying goodbye. "Okay, thanks for understanding, bye~"
And I ran out quickly.
Dealing with these guys is definitely taking its toll on me.

Going home after successfully completing various tasks was always satisfying. Not only did I keep my promise to Ada, but I also got rid of a thorn in my side and a stain on my male pride by leaving the cheerleading squad. The less said about me being captain, the better.
Although I did find it interesting that the men didn't wear miniskirts or anything like that, that was something I had to look into, why didn't the men wear skirts if everything was reversed, but well, I dismissed it as a trivia.
"Hey pretty boy, can I give you a ride somewhere?" A car pulled up beside me, the first time anyone had ever done that.
I looked up and it was a young woman, maybe an average looking college student with a shit-eating grin on her face, driving a rather old car. I thought about it for a bit, maybe it would be a good idea to hop in and have a quick fuck? That's what a stupid person would think, and I'm not one of them.
"No, but thanks for the offer." I said, giving her a smile.
She shrugged. "Your loss. "Then she stepped on the gas and drove away quietly. I still can't get used to this essence and its strange uses in technology.
I walked a few more minutes and I was home. I took out the spare keys I had taken from my room and opened the door. "I'm home," I said simply, but the lights were out in the house.
I left my backpack on the couch and went upstairs to the only source of light in the house. From the sounds of a girl's voice and gunfire, I assumed Luna was playing video games, so I went up to say hello.
At the same time, I mentally scoffed at the thought that she had forgotten that she had a very vulnerable older brother at school, which would be good material to tease her about.
As usual, her door was ajar, so I just pushed it open a little to see my sister in her nightgown and panties, playing video games with a hint of tongue out in concentration as she quickly pressed buttons.
Her milky white thighs were surprisingly attractive and when I realized I was looking at her, I immediately looked away.
"Hi Alex!" She greeted me with her usual charm.
I couldn't help but smile at her. "Hi," after looking at her, a thought came to me and I decided to speak again. "Are you busy?"
Seeing my hesitant look, she gave me her full attention, "O-of course not, big brother!" She immediately shut down her console. "Do you need something from me?"
"I was just wondering if you wanted to watch a movie." That was something he missed doing with Luna, and maybe now was a good time to do it again, what with the advantage of being in another reality and all.
"A-ah, sure, what do you want to see? I think a Ken movie just came out and the boys always win or something..." She seemed to force her interest, but she was in the mood to watch a classic this time.
"Hmmm, maybe I'd like to watch something about a galaxy far, far away..."
A smile spread over my sister's face and I noticed that her taste didn't change that much.
