「Hey! Don’t – ungh!」

Cat sucked at my mouth again.

From outside the door, I could hear a voice saying, 「Whaaaaaaaat?!」

「You’d better stop now. Your friend from the Guild might just be surprised, but my companions are getting angry. They want you to open that door!」

Why was Cat still sitting on top of me, not moving?

「My name is Miriam. But you can call me Miri.」

So Cat was her nickname, and her real name was Miriam.

She said it was okay to call her Miri. But never mind that. She was doing something that she really shouldn’t be doing.

「You kissed me three times! Don’t you want to……?」

Don’t I want to what? She can’t mean… Do people who are half-animal get in the mood as casually as if they were playing a game?

That’s not what it looks like. But, anyway, I need to get her off me.

Miri drew back her hood, and two black cat ears sprang out.

She wiggled her buttocks back and forth, emphasising her low-rise shorts, which looked like they might slip off at any moment. I could actually see the black underwear she had on.

The friction thrilled me. When she talked about me getting ‘excited’, is this what she meant?!

「Seeing my cat ears really made you perk up, huh? I’m so happy!」

Looking at Miri’s body, illuminated in the darkness by the light of the lamp, there was no way to stop myself getting excited.

「Idiot! Anyone would get excited by this!」

Why is she kissing me again? Her maximum level won’t go up any further!

I realised that, for some reason, I was holding a wired earphone. Miri was absorbed in the kiss, and hadn’t noticed.

Wh-what’s this? I followed the cable, and found that it was connected to my armour.

Could it be… I slipped it into my ear. Miri carried on kissing me and wiggling back and forth.

「Snff snff… Master, your thing is frightening me. I’m scared!」

As I’d expected, a message from Shizuku came through the earphone.

If Shizuku runs away and stops disguising herself as my armour, I’m in big trouble.

I wouldn’t have anything to protect me. I went suddenly pale.

Just then, Ria and Deet yelled together from outside the door, 「Open up! Open this door!」

Sitting on top of me was a cat-person…… or rather, Miri from the Thieves’ Guild.

Then there was Shizuku, who seemed as if she was about to break free from my armour.

I was in the tightest spot I’d ever been in. First off, I need to calm down!

I pushed Miri with all my strength.

Somehow, I managed to push Miri off me and stand up.

With the strength of a demon, I bent down and fastened the button on her shorts – she was lying there, playing stupid – and, putting a hand on her shoulder, hauled her to her feet. I also pulled her hood up.

Straight away, I pressed the button to open the iron door. The door began to rise slowly.

「Hey, I’m glad everyone’s safe.」

Ria and Deet, standing on the other side of the door, looked astonished. Nick, the boy who’d been about to be sold, and a guy who looked like a member of the Thieves’ Guild were with them.

Ria and Deet both asked me, 「Are you all right? We heard strange noises.」

「Oh, I’m fine. I’m totally fine.」

「What about that woman’s voice, saying things like ‘I’m busy right now’ and ‘come back later’?」

「……the warehouse. She was in the middle of sorting the warehouse.」

Ria’s face relaxed. Deet looked at me suspiciously.

「Anyway, come in and hide for a while.」

Ria, Deet and Nick came in, and I pressed the button to close the door.

The guy from the Thieves’ Guild would come and tell us when the lot from the Bodyguards’ Guild had stopped hunting for us.

I returned to the dimly-lit room, illuminated only by the light of the lamp.

「At any rate, I wondered what was going to happen. I tried to stop you, Deet, but you suddenly walloped that guy from the Bodyguard’s Guild.」

「Sorry. I was so pissed off, my body just moved of its own accord.」

It was starting to feel like the other world was full of girls whose bodies moved of their own accord. Well, I nearly punched him, too.

「It was a weight off my shoulders, though. If you hadn’t done it, Deet, I would have.」

We all seemed to feel the same, even Ria.

「But at this rate, we’re definitely going to draw the attention of the Bodyguard’s Guild, aren’t we?」

Neither Ria nor Deet was coming up with a solution quickly.

「We’re screwed. We’re outnumbered, and if we pick them off one by one, we’ll end up being wanted for murder before long.」

Deet kept saying unhinged things.

「When normal adventurers cause a fight, they can get away with it by leaving the area.」

Ria’s suggestion was logical, but there was no way for me to get away from this dungeon, since it was connected to my apartment.

「Ria, Deet, is there a route that connects the surface and the second floor of the dungeon and only passes through neutral territory and territory controlled by the Thieves’ Guild?」

They both shook their heads.

The most reliable person to ask would have been Miri, but she had been sitting silently on one of the wooden boxes this whole time.

Deet looked at me suspiciously.

Miri suddenly sat up straight.

「Huh? Are you going away to the surface, Thor?」

「Yeah. I don’t live in the dungeon like people in the underground guilds do.」

「In that case, you could all join the Thieves’ Guild! If you joined the Guild, you’d at least be protected by the non-aggression pact between us and the Bodyguards’ Guild. What’s more, you could use pretty much all the facilities and routes that are controlled by the Thieves’ Guild.」

「Doesn’t sound too bad」Deet said.

The non-aggression pact couldn’t be all that reliable if the Bodyguards’ Guild had been able to sell Nick, but it would be great to have access to all the amenities and routes of the Thieves’ Guild.

「Usually, you’d have to pay us money and keep to our rules, but since you helped Nick, we can treat you as guests.」

Miri explained the precise details of what would happen if we were to join the Thieves’ Guild.

But Ria exploded like a raging fire, 「You must be joking! Join the Thieves’ Guild? What an outrageous idea! They’re a gang of robbers and thieves!」

Deet, who’d just said that it didn’t sound too bad, agreed with her. 「Th-that’s true.」

Ria seemed to have become attached to Nick already. Cuddling him on her lap, she pointed to him and said, 「We’re going to take this child and his little sister with us to the surface and find an orphanage for them there!」

Deet replied in my place, 「H-hang on a minute, Ria. We’re…… er, remind me why we’re going to the surface, again? In any case, we can’t take kids with us.」

We’re going there so we can get them to take down the order to hunt down Enami. Although I feel like this has also been a tourist trip through the other world.
