Chapter 153 No Brains
"Ah!!"
In the desolate Kunlun Mountain range stood a headless giant with its feet on the mountains, letting out a deafening bellow that echoed to the sky, while mutant creatures fled from the mountains in a panic.
The bare-chested Ice Chi frowned and used his little finger to dig in his ear: "Hey, can you stop shouting?"
The Stone Punishing Tribe's belly, full of sharp fangs, slowly closed its massive mouth, turned its body, and bent down to look at the humanoid Ice Chi; the two eyes on its chest, too far apart, desperately tried to move closer, looking quite comical.
"Chi, fight me!"
The Stone Punishing Tribe opened its mouth, and a thunderous voice mixed with howling winds swept down upon Ice Chi like a covering sky.
Ice Chi's eyes flickered with an icy blue luster; a huge shield with intersecting icicles sprang up in front of him. The gale blew over the ice shield, visibly frosting the mountains behind it with a thin layer of ice.
Crack!
The icicles on the shield shattered, revealing half of Ice Chi's face, his eyes glinting coldly at the Stone Punishing Tribe.
"Brainless thing, can't you think of anything other than fighting?"
The frenzy in the Stone Punishing Tribe's eyes was gradually replaced by anger; the bulging muscles on its body throbbed with veins as dark red, lava-like patterns on its skin began to glow.
"You dare..." the Stone Punishing Tribe raised its colossal fist, from which white smoke rose: "To say I'm brainless!"
Boom!
The massive fist, carrying a potent punch, slammed into Ice Chi's shield. Under this colossal force, the ice shield instantly turned to dust, and Ice Chi's body, pressed firmly against the fist, was sent flying.
Boom boom boom!
Looming peaks collapsed with thunderous crashes, and Ice Chi was flung thousands of meters before coming to a halt, buried beneath the mountain rubble; the dust from the destroyed path hung in the air for a long time.
The Stone Punishing Tribe's eyes flickered as it let out a roar to the sky: "Not enough, still not enough, I want a true battle."
After saying that, it swung its massive hand, and numerous pebbles began to float slowly, converging in its hand to form a rough, jagged stone axe. Each rock, with flowing magma between them,
it grasped the axe, taller than a mountain, with both hands, squatting slightly.
Boom!
The mountain range collapsed around it as the focal point; it leapt into the sky with the stone axe raised high and then chopped down viciously toward Ice Chi's location.
The space around the axe blade twisted slightly, bursting with intense, fiery light.
Dark clouds in the sky rapidly congregated, and the smoke between the mountains swiftly expanded, the ice-blue Dragon Scales appearing now and then in the haze.
"Roar~"
A prolonged dragon's chant echoed through the mountains, and a giant claw emerged from the smoke, firmly catching the plummeting axe.
The Stone Punishing Tribe's colossal strength erupted, and Ice Chi's Dragon Claw sank slightly, the brute force leveling the surrounding mountains to the ground. The erupting dust clung to the earth, covering everything within thousands of meters in an instant.
Crackle!
Lightning snaked through the dark clouds, repeatedly striking from the sky; Ice Chi revealed his true form, his sharp claws embedded in the stone axe, looking down on the Stone Punishing Tribe from above, his angry voice overshadowing the thunder.
"Damn it, you're actually serious!"
The Stone Punishing Tribe tugged at the stone axe and, finding it irremovable, simply let go with both hands.
Boom boom boom!
The stone axe reverted back to giant stones, falling from Ice Chi's claws, and the Stone Punishing Tribe flexed its wrists, white smoke wafting from its bulging muscles.
Its belly mouth cracked open, curved fangs gleaming, and it raised its fists, shouting, "Less talk, fight on!"
Bang bang bang!
The fists, enveloping rolling heatwaves, hammered against the Ice Chi's body. Fine cracks instantly appeared on the tough Scale Armor, and before it could react, punch after punch came at increasing speed, shattering Scale Armor scattered in all directions.
Feeling the intense pain on its body, the Ice Chi cursed inside, for though the assaults did no real damage, the frustration was driving it mad.
How had it managed to find that brute's Sealing Land? Now, left with no choice, it could only dodge in embarrassment.
Boom!
The Ice Chi was grabbed by the tail and swung around by Shixing only to be subsequently smashed heavily into the ground.
Just as it raised its fists ready to fight back, a naive child's voice carried over from a distance, "Everyone stop!"
Shixing, with eyes red as blood, turned and roared, "Get lost...uh... "
The steam on Shixing's body slowly cooled, as he looked at the little cloth dot hovering not far away. That chubby snake tail softened his ferocious expression considerably.
He moved closer, staring intently at the doll that was almost the size of a bee in front of him and said with a deep, resonant voice, "Who are you? There's a familiar feeling."
Nuwa, hands on hips, retorted irritably, "Thou dost not recognize even me?"
"Hmm..." Shixing scratched his bald neck, deep in thought.
Ice Chi took the opportunity to transform into a humanoid form, its swelling face a sign of shame as it bowed its head like a child who had erred.
As Shao Zifeng was taken aback by the plains that had once been Kunlun Mountain, Shixing suddenly had a revelation, "The tail, you are the daughter of Lady Nuwa!!!"
Nuwa's face turned ashen with rage, and a tic-tac-toe pattern emerged on her smooth forehead.
Her body emitted a radiant light, as she grew larger. Her long hair fell over her chest, turning her into a figure as blinding as the sun in the sky.
Nuwa hovered in mid-air, her long snake tail twisting and intertwining with the multicolored clouds. She lowered her head, her eyes majestic with indescribable authority. Her cherry lips parted, her voice clear yet oddly accented, resounding across the heaven and earth.
"Shixing, look at me, who am I!"
Shixing's eyes on his chest widened and with a thud, he knelt down, causing mountains beneath him to crumble and forcing Zifeng to retreat repeatedly.
"Lady Nuwa, you...you're not dead?"
No sooner had he spoken the words than Nuwa, Zifeng, and the Ice Chi were all stunned.
Was that even something one says?
Shixing scratched his bald neck, tentatively asking, "Um...did I say something wrong?"
Bam!
The apparition of Nuwa exploded in mid-air, and the small Nuwa, livid with rage, leaped up, repeatedly lashing Shixing's neck with her plump tail: "You're the one who's dead, you're the one who's dead, I'll kill you!!"
Shixing, kneeling there, didn't fight back, just grinned a goofy, toothy smile.
Zifeng looked at the not-so-bright Shixing and leaned towards the Ice Chi, pointing to his own head, "Hey, old Dragon, is this guy brainless?"
Old Dragon's body suddenly tensed upon hearing this, subtly shifting half a step to the side, distancing himself from Zifeng.
Observing the odd behavior of the old Dragon, Zifeng suddenly felt a vast murderous intent sweeping over him, engulfing him completely.
Zifeng stiffly turned his head only to see Shixing, partially turned to one side, with the two eyes on his chest glaring at him, ablaze with fierce anger.
He stood up under Nuwa's whipping, the dark red flame pattern on him lighting up once again.
"You say, who's brainless!"
