My Perfect Female CEO

Chapter 398: The Shame After Throwing Oneself into Someone’s Arms

Mengyao's words gave Nami a deep understanding of her actions. She realized that she had been foolish, and it wasn't because she was unattractive or Ye Fan wasn't a man, but trying to win Ye Fan over like that was an offense and would have the opposite effect.

"I'm sorry, we almost became enemies," Nami apologized to Mengyao, nodded, and then looked at Ye Fan to apologize again: "I'm sorry, I thought you weren't a man, hope you won't be offended by my disturbance."

Ye Fan felt frustrated hearing this. What did it mean? If he stayed loyal, was he not a man? What nonsense!

"Glad you understood," Mengyao said gleefully. It was not easy to make Nami understand this truth.

Nami didn't understand Huaxia language or many Huaxia things, so she communicated with Ye Fan and Mengyao in English.

Ye Fan and Mengyao naturally spoke in a language Nami could understand.

Although Mengyao's words scared Nami, they helped Nami understand a profound truth.

What Nami didn't know was that Mengyao's words were somewhat exaggerated.

After apologizing multiple times, Nami left Ye Fan's room and returned to her place.

"You sure are charming, having people throwing themselves at you, even coming to your bed," Mengyao scolded Ye Fan playfully.

Ye Fan helplessly said, "Can you blame me? If anyone's to blame, it's that foolish woman who has no brain."

"How can you speak like this? Criticizing other women in front of me, don't forget that I'm also a woman," Mengyao said with a sidelong glance. "Actually, every culture has its own habits and views. Just like Nami said, if she became your woman, it would mean you're very attractive, and I should be proud."

"Let's not talk about this anymore. We have barriers with her, discussing these matters is too draining," Ye Fan said with a bitter smile, then chuckled. "But to be honest, your words were very fierce, like a hatred for eating human flesh and drinking human blood, scaring her silly instantly. She thought she was pleasing us, yet suddenly became such a big enemy."

"You dare say that. If there were no barriers between us and her, such a situation wouldn't have happened," Mengyao chuckled, finding Nami's reaction quite amusing.

She yawned and grumbled, "With your disturbance, my sleepiness has diminished a lot. Hurry and rest; tomorrow morning we need to inspect Tie Zhongshi's power company."

"Hmm, goodnight, hurry and sleep." Ye Fan urged. He could rest casually, but Mengyao couldn't; she had been busy all day with no rest for her mind. These few evening hours were essential for her to rest well.

"Goodnight." Mengyao returned to her room and went to bed.

Next morning.

The group was having breakfast.

The more Nami thought about it, the more uncomfortable she felt, feeling she had lost all face, so she joined Tie Zhongshi and the others for breakfast. Tie Zhongshi's family was especially courteous to Nami, given her extraordinary status.

"I've been in Ba Country for so long and only saw Nami on TV before. I didn't expect to have breakfast together today," Tie Zhongshi felt notably unsettled, deeply admiring Ye Fan and Mengyao's abilities and skills.

Nami had no face to meet Ye Fan and Mengyao, at least not yet, lacking the courage, and naturally avoided them.

She asked Tie Zhongshi about Huaxia customs and indirectly learned her actions weren't pleasing Ye Fan, but damaging his relationship with Mengyao. After comprehending this, she felt even more ashamed. Kasam left her behind for important matters, and she nearly offended the two, blaming herself immensely.

"However, from what I know, I've never seen any man from that country as serious as him. One can understand, with Mengyao by his side, he naturally wouldn't dare do anything to me. If Mengyao weren't around, things might've been different," Nami mused. Her perception of Ye Fan was that all men are driven by their lower instincts, and her fortunate escape last night wasn't because Ye Fan didn't like beautiful women, but because he didn't dare touch her.

Understanding this, she was very relieved. If Ye Fan had done that kind of thing to her, she would have been ruined. More importantly, as Mengyao said, if Ye Fan denied his actions after doing them, she'd be the one suffering.

After breakfast, Ye Fan instructed Ku Eryue: "Among the Hive mercenaries, how many have surrendered?"

Zheng Jia Mei came to plead without mentioning the Hive mercenary affairs, only emphasizing she came to apologize sincerely.

She didn't dare mention it, fearing to open old wounds and incite Ye Fan and Mengyao's displeasure, as her position would become far more dangerous.

Zheng Jia Mei learned from the escaped King Kong that most Hive mercenaries had died, and few survived. In reality, King Kong didn't know the exact situation due to his hasty escape. Had he delayed slightly, he would have been captured. Out of over two hundred in the group, besides King Kong's dozen survivors, over half had become prisoners.

"These people are tough; making them surrender will require significant effort," Ku Eryue said.

"Your task now is to expand your influence. Though the Hive mercenaries may not be elite compared to your personnel, they are formidable compared to ordinary people. All useful individuals should be absorbed into your banner. In this realm, we not only need powerful protectors but also a large number of subordinates. As the company's business grows, we'll need more manpower, including protection," Ye Fan emphasized. "So I won't elaborate on the significance; you should discern its importance. It's imperative and urgent for you to expand your influence."

"I know what to do; I'll handle the Hive mercenary prisoners personally. Be it hard or soft, I'll find a way to make them surrender," Ku Eryue responded briskly. "Regarding our force development, I have my plans and won't disappoint you."

"It's up to you; you have experience and I trust you," Ye Fan nodded.

Ku Eryue went about her work.

Then Ye Fan, Mengyao, Du Xueqi, and Tie Zhongshi went to the power company for inspection.

The power company employed locals as workers and was in development.

With Tie Zhongshi's previous connections and reputation, there was no shortage of workers, just fear of lacking enough work.

Soon seven days passed.

It was time for the grand banquet hosted by the Ba Country Government Army.
