Chapter 386: Killing Enemies to Establish Authority
George watched Du Xueqi leave and revealed a sinister smile.
"Letting her go like this, isn't it too easy for her? Why not capture her to blackmail the people in the mansion?" someone asked in confusion, "What if they have no intention to hand over the cash? Wouldn't we be happy in vain?"
"No worries, now that my army has surrounded the mansion, even if they have the ability of gods, they are trapped. If they are smart, they'll hand over the cash willingly, making things much easier. Although I won't spare their lives, I can grant them a swift death," George smirked slyly, confident, "We're all smart people. If they don't know what's good for them, I can give one order, and with one charge, I'll break through all the enemies blocking my path. They don't have the skill or ability to stop me."
"Zia's death was a lesson learned. We should be prepared for anything. What if they decide to play tricks?" this person cautiously considered everything that needed to be considered.
"You're overthinking. Even if they had three heads and six arms, they're still in a dead-end situation. Under such circumstances, they can't play any tricks, nor dare to," George laughed triumphantly.
After a while, George and his people, along with everyone he brought, showed fearful expressions.
They looked up, seeing missiles shooting down from above, and immediately a wave of terror surged in their hearts.
"What's happening?"
"Where did these missiles come from? Why are they aimed at us?"
"We're dead, we're going to die."
"We're going to die."
"Run for your lives, ahhhh, run!"
The crowd suddenly panicked, dropping their guns, abandoning their armored vehicles, and scattering in all directions.
But their reaction was too late to avoid the impending doom.
"What is this?" George raised his head, staring at the missiles spewing fire, feeling like crying.
"....." The people around George were all dumbfounded. Compared to the panicked crowd, they were too shocked to speak, their eyes wide open in horror, watching the killing intent envelop them from above.
"Whiz whiz whiz!" The sound of missiles tearing through the sky crisply echoed.
"Boom boom boom!" Four missiles exploded near George and his crew, one landing directly before them, while the other three detonated in other directions.
With the sound of explosions and the roaring wave of fire, within the missile's killing range, no one survived.
They all died harboring feelings of gut-wrenching fear.
George died instantly, leaving not a trace behind, reduced to ashes.
Many of the warriors George brought were obliterated, and the remainder fled chaotically.
In an instant, apart from the faintly visible charred corpses, no one else from the mansion had a murderous look in their eyes.
George's crisis silently yet spectacularly resolved.
Meanwhile, a grand battle was breaking out.
Poisonous Spider's assassins launched a full-scale attack against the A Hive Mercenary Group. As soon as the battle started, the mercenary group's defenses crumbled, facing the overwhelmingly strong enemy, suffering heavy losses.
"What's happening?"
"Who is attacking us?"
The members of A Hive Mercenary Group were terrified, distraught, trembling.
"Sir, retreat quickly, if we're a moment late, our group will be completely wiped out. The enemy has broken through all the defenses; everything seems as fragile as paper in their hands," some rushed to King Kong, the leader of A Hive Mercenary Group, speaking with a trembling voice.
"Who has the audacity to attack the Xinglong Group's people?" King Kong glared angrily.
"I don't know." Someone immediately responded.
"No, we can't retreat. We've developed for three years to achieve what we have today; we can't lose it," King Kong was unwilling.
"Chief, while the green earth is here, there are no worries of having no firewood to burn. Delay any longer and we won't be able to leave," a burly man urged impatiently.
"I have to seek Miss's opinion; I can't just escape without a clear explanation," King Kong said resolutely. T$his& con&tent is pre-sent-e!d- by M!4#V+LE#M+P#YR-.^
"No time left, quick, carry the chief for a breakout, contact Miss after reaching safety," this group forcibly carried King Kong, initiating the breakout.
Poisonous Spider's assassins appeared like a pack of hungry wolves rushing into a flock of sheep, with the overwhelming force of the attacking enemy, the mercenary group quickly fell and could not resist, unraveling in defeat.
Just like that, A Hive Mercenary Group, once notable within the entire Ba Country, vanished in an instant.
Out of over two hundred members, more than half died, while King Kong and the remaining dozen or so managed to break through and flee; the rest became captives, turning the mercenary group's camp into Poisonous Spider's spoils of war.
At the same time.
Ku Eryue personally led a team of elite assassins towards Arus's mansion.
As a General, Arus was particularly careful about his security. Whether attending public gatherings or meetings, he always had skilled warriors to protect him. He had an almost obsessive love for money; hence, even his subordinates, including Zia and George, shared an intrinsic love for wealth.
Living in such a place as Ba Country, money often equates to safety, especially for those wielding considerable military power; they can arm themselves with reckless fighters. With the protection of Iron-blooded Guards, there is at least a foundational safety, allowing them to stand firm. Even ordinary people can buy guns or hire bodyguards for their own protection, highlighting the importance of money. For money, many are willing to risk everything, including abandoning their own lives.
The group led by General Arus pursued wealth as if it were pieced together with their very lives.
Ku Eryue broke into Arus's mansion, eliminated the guards, and aimed the gun at Arus.
"Don't kill me, I have money; it can solve everything. Problems solvable by money aren't really problems," Arus pleaded. He initially resisted with a gun, but after Ku Eryue kicked the gun out of his hands, he completely surrendered.
"No matter how much money you have, it can't save your life now. Die," Ku Eryue pulled the trigger, and a bullet pierced through Arus's forehead.
