My Monster Fuses Everything

Chapter 246: The Return of the Blood King Snake

When it rains, it pours. At this moment, a Third Order Monster appeared, meaning that the surrounding wall might not hold.

"Fire the cannons, focus on that Third Order..."

"No need."

It was Su Han's voice coming through; somehow, he had already made his way atop the surrounding wall, his gaze sweeping across the battlefield.

Below the wall, it was filled with monsters of all kinds, even Second Order were not few, roaring and stacking upon each other, trying to break through the wall.

If it weren't for the wall already being raised to thirty meters, it could hardly bear this kind of siege now.

Su Han frowned, a mass of vines from the Nine-Snake Mother Tree gathered towards this side, bursting forth from the ground and forcibly capturing three Second Order Monsters, pulling them onto the battlement.

"Roar"

Trapped, the monsters struggled violently, emitting low growls and roars from their wide-open mouths.

With a flick of his hand, Su Han summoned the Floating Pagoda Black Armor; its segments sharp like blades, instantly piercing the monster's body. Agonizing roars emerged, but its eyes were still crazed, trying to break free from the vines' bindings.

'Affected, huh?'

Su Han recognized immediately that something was amiss; even the most bloodthirsty monsters wouldn't normally be driven to such insanity.

His gaze instantly settled on the Holy Helmet Beetle, the most likely culprit affecting them being this Third Order Monster.

As thoughts crossed his mind, finally, the red silhouette amid the fog rolled in, a hundred-meter giant snake with a body red like jade and eyes coldly locking onto Su Han on the wall.

"Roar"

It devoured the monster before it, then rushed like a train, heading straight for the wall.

Spurred by its lead, the monster horde immediately surged, quickly assuming a formation to storm the defenses.

The Holy Helmet Beetle swiftly moved back, dodging the attack of the Vine Snake, and also rushed towards the wall.

Two Third Order Monsters, tens of thousands in a monster tide, converging together.

Su Han sneered coldly, with a thought, countless vines rose from the ground, surging like waves.

They pierced violently; in just an encounter, thousands of monsters were impaled.

The surviving ones, amid the surging vines, were continuously bound, struggling in vain to break free.

Beetles, although armed with sharp foreleg scythes, stood no chance against the vines of Fourth Grade Nine-Snake Mother Tree.

They were constantly knocked over, their carapaces shattered, their flesh torn by the vines.

The Blood King Snake, with red spots on its body, scales sharp as blades, swiftly passed through the vines which were sheared by its scales, charging towards the wall.

The Holy Helmet Beetle hissed, its movements exceedingly quick, with each sweep of its blade emitting a blood-red energy that snapped the vines in its path.

"Not bad strength."

Su Han's brows raised, impressed by the two Third Order Monsters' abilities; no doubt their skills and physiques were more complete compared to some Third Order Monsters.

His lips curved in a smile, then the ground shook, and suddenly eight massive, pitch-black Vine Snakes burst forth from the battlefield.

Ripping through the ground, their colossal bodies overlooked the entire field, their bulk falling upon it, crushing countless monsters beneath them.

Battle over

When the Vine Snakes of the Nine-Snake Mother Tree arrived from other areas, this battle was already beyond doubt.

Nine behemoths swept through the field. Tens of thousands of monsters were slain amidst their sweep, their numbers dwindling rapidly.

The Vine Snakes' mouths glowed, discharging beams of light that exploded wherever they swept, monsters' limbs fragmented, with a burnt stench mixing with the scent of blood pervading the battlefield.

The Blood King Snake and Holy Helmet Beetle, sensing something was wrong, started to retreat, but they were Su Han's targets; how could he allow them to escape?

All nine Vine Snakes acted together. Amidst their surging, a vast crack broke the ground, the Blood King Snake entangled by three Vine Snakes before it could get away.

Massive bodies immediately engaged in a struggle, their entangled collisions causing countless buildings to collapse nearby.

But no matter how fierce the Blood King Snake was, it couldn't break through the Vine Snakes' offense; gashes quickly covered its body.

The Vine Snakes overpowered the Blood King Snake, with Man-eating Vines protruding to bite into its wounds.

The copious influx of Paralytic Toxin rapidly sapped the strength from the Blood King Snake. From barely holding on, it now laid fettered, incapable of movement.

On the other side, the outcome was even grimmer for the Holy Helmet Beetle. Four Vine Snakes constricted it, and despite its agility, it had no chance to escape.

Knocked about like a ball, its carapace shattered, bleeding profusely.

As it weakened noticeably, the Vine Snakes no longer toyed with it, swarming over and biting into the Holy Helmet Beetle's flesh, the Man-eating Vines biting in as well, continuously injecting Paralytic Toxin.

With the Third Order Monsters captured, the remaining ones were but trivial, ferocious and fierce yet no match for the Vine Snakes' deathly maelstrom, their ranks scattered long ago.

At this time, the Scorpion Spider Demon appeared behind Su Han, the Metal Controller's power activated, as countless metallic blades levitated into the air, covering the battlefield from above.

Nearly all monsters at this moment were pinned to the ground, and with the sweeping vines, they had no more strength to resist.

Guo Du was dumbstruck, Su Han's power gradually surpassing imagination.

"I'll set up the tree cage, you lead the team to clear the field, capture the living ones and send them to the dungeon, finish off those who are too injured."

"Yes."

Su Han merely needed a thought, and more vines wove into a network, enveloping the battlefield. Then the gate was pulled open by Tree Domain warriors, and a large squad rushed into the battlefield to start the sweep.

The Scorpion Spider Demon leapt down from the city wall and approached two Third Order Monsters. The Metal Controller ability activated, a mass of metal enveloped them, and on the bodies of the Blood King Snake and the Holy Helmet Beetle, it solidified into sturdy shackles.

Next, the vines acted in unison, dragging these Third Order Monsters into the Tree Domain Camp, where they were detained for later use.

With the siege broken, Su Han captured a large number of monsters, but he did not let his guard down, for it was very likely that these monsters originated from the west of the city.

As the tides rise again, more monsters are bound to appear within South City, and he needed to continue to strengthen his power.

Massive quantities of monster flesh were sent into tree pits, where the Nine-Snake Mother Tree rooted itself on top and began another Fusion.

LV8 Essence of Flesh 1%, 2%, 3%...

Su Han temporarily didn't allow the Scorpion Spider Demon or the Blood-Erosion Alligator Dragon to continue fusing. Instead, he had the Nine-Snake Mother Tree fuse with the nearly one hundred thousand pieces of monster flesh.

He needed more descendants as his fighting force, especially now in the mist, to have even stronger combat capabilities.

"The Worker Beetles, Razor Beetles, and Holy Helmet Beetles are of the same species. They have a clear hierarchy, and their genes contain some earth creature DNA; they are new creations and may have a larger collective."

Bai Shan, the seasoned expert, delivered the latest data to Su Han with a very serious expression.

Normally, this would have been Bai Qilan's responsibility, but Bai Qilan had more pressing matters.

The expansion of the spatial rifts was nearing a critical point, and no monsters had emerged for a whole day. Clearly, they were amassing forces inside, and the next wave to emerge would likely be Third Order.

Bai Qilan was both assisting in the defense and preparing for a breakthrough, as her Demon Eye Spider Woman had reached its racial limit.

She was already in the dungeon, having taken away two Second-order Superior Razor Beetles to prepare for the Divine Initiation Ritual, hoping to gain more combat power.

With her talent as an Inspirer, it was not an impossible feat. After all, combat is especially important in the Divine Initiation Ritual consciousness.

She also held an advantage.

"A Zerg infestation in the west?"

"Very likely."

Bai Shan said, "But it's hard to determine whether this is due to a new spatial rift or some other cause that has spawned the monster tide. However, unlike ordinary monsters, these Zerg creatures have a more precise division of labor. I suspect they haven't just suddenly evolved."

He cautiously shared his conjecture, describing three types of combatants: one being the common foot soldier, like worker ants in an ant colony, numerous, with a simple structure, unremarkable, yet resolutely fearless of death.

Another was the Razor Beetle, with a hard exoskeleton, a body structured for combat and breakthroughs. Their carapace was not only hard but also had more powerful jointed limbs, and the sharpness of their tibial scythes even surpassed that of blades, seemingly possessing simple organs employing Spiritual Energy to enhance their strength.

They were complete combat tools, and the living Holy Helmet Beetle yet to be dissected was the enhanced version of the Razor Beetle, belonging to the elite ranks.

"The west of the city," Su Han mused, then after a long moment, he looked up, "Uncle Bai, I understand the situation. I will have people strengthen our defenses to the west. However, for these Zerg monsters, please focus on researching them. The more we know before we head to the west, the better."

"Understood."

Bai Shan's report was only interim. The more they understood about these systematic monsters, the smoother they would handle them.

Their task was equally challenging, and if they could create an injectable form of such mature combat creatures, the benefits were significant. However, more research was needed. Moreover, it would be best if it could be combined with the Mother Tree lineage.

In the western district, No.4 Middle School region

The gray Bug Quality tissue covered the land of the entire district: school buildings, surrounding snack streets, residential houses... even high-rise buildings were permeated with this flesh-like, eerie material.

They clung to the streets, here in clumps, there in pools, constantly writhing. Many other masses of this substance formed small mountains, with channels like blood vessels connecting them like a spider web.

Vibrating bug sacs undulated continuously, attached to these flesh mountains. Soon enough, they spewed out Worker Beetles covered in mucus.

Once the Worker Beetles landed, they voraciously consumed the Bug Quality tissue, then their carapaces rapidly hardened, their mouthparts clattered as they gnawed, and their jointed legs moved swiftly, expanding outward.

There were two or three hundred such breeding flesh mountains, covering a huge area and continuously spawning Worker Beetles.

A multitude of Worker Beetles flooded out of this region, and even more returned with the flesh of monsters, letting the Bug Quality devour and convert it. Explore hidden tales at empire

In the center of all these hatcheries, within the No.4 Middle School area, stood nine of the tallest flesh mountains.

They were also made of hatchery-like material, but they stood tall like stalagmites, towering like mountains. Parts of the Bug Quality tissue had hardened, making them appear like actual structures.

Among these nine Third Grade hatcheries, eight contained only a single slit-shaped bug sac embedded within, with translucent membranes through which the creatures inside—the Third Order Holy Helmet Beetles—could faintly be seen.

The ninth one, however, was different, with numerous bug sacs of various sizes embedded within. Instead of housing Holy Helmet Beetles, they enclosed human beings, pale-faced, with taut skin and eyes tightly closed.

This hatchery was particularly large, enveloping what used to be a school building. Many humans were encased within, including those later captured.

From their bodies flowed the energies of emotions and Mental Strength, gathered by the Mother Worm at the very heart of the Bug Quality, then transmitted to the other hatcheries.

"Hiss,"

A powerful Mental Strength burst forth from the Mother Worm, its mouthparts hissing, the mental fluctuations continuing to propagate.

'Multiple Third Grade individuals, Holy Helmet Beetles unable to take down....obstacles.'
