My Monster Fuses Everything

Chapter 244: Anomalous Space Storm

The fog surged overnight, so thick it seemed like a white, blurry curtain.

The entire city was shrouded, the ghostly outlines of skyscrapers, the decayed streets, the ruin-like buildings all covered by this white veil.

Looking out from the Tree Domain Camp, outside the range of the Radiance of the Lamp Tree's light, the fog formed a stark boundary against the brightness, like an inverted white dome placed over the camp.

Inside it, the light was bright and clear, the buildings stood orderly as they had before the apocalypse.

Outside, there was nothing but a chilling expanse of white.

"Two anomalous space rifts are storming, the Spiritual Energy Blood Sea is churning, and a large amount of chaotic spiritual energy is dispersing. It's no longer safe to station there, or we risk mutation into monsters. I fear a great number of creatures will be spawned."

The sudden tidal surge of the thick fog disrupted Zhu Xiong's progress with cleanup, and the situation grew worse as anomalous spaces began shifting with the tide.

"Let's go take a look."

Su Han, leading Zhu Xiong, strode towards the anomalous space rift at the Third Hospital, where troops from various units had been drawn together for constant training in this energy-rich camp, numbering three to four hundred men who also guarded the space rift and harvested spiritual energy ore.

Now, however, there were more than three or four hundred people in the camp; search teams had already been recalled, and patrols on the walls of Weng City kept a close eye on the continuously glowing anomalous space rift.

The anomalous space rift was within Weng City, enclosed by a thirty-meter-high, thick wall that completely surrounded it. Weng City was about the size of a football field, enclosed on all sides, with only a metal gate allowing entry and exit.

"Leader!"

As Su Han and Zhu Xiong approached, Xia Ning, Zhao Yimin, and others had already hurried over.

Bai Qilan, Yan Meiyu, and others were also there, gathering data. Seeing Su Han coming over, they got up and joined him.

"Su Han, the spiritual energy level has jumped significantly, but it's more chaotic now. There's a possibility that the space rift may expand," Bai Qilan spoke with concern as Su Han looked towards the space rift from which faint monstrous roars emanated, his gaze intensifying. He said, "Move the artillery here. Old Zhu, you and Old Gan take care of the eastern district rift.
Continue your journey with empire

Kailing will assist you; meanwhile, the Sky Cavalry is responsible for searching both areas, on guard for new rifts."

"Yes."

Zhu Xiong, Gan Xinglei, and Ye Kailing received their orders and solemnly responded before swiftly leaving the walls to gather their teams for the eastern district.

They understood Su Han's intentions; the northern district was safe with him there, but the eastern district was different and required a manned defense.

As everyone departed, Su Han watched the active space rift in front of him, and with a thought, a Vine Giant Rat entered the anomalous space within Weng City, then quickly charged towards the space rift.

Su Han's expression remained calm as he observed the changes in the Vine Giant Rat.

Although the chaotic spiritual energy disrupted the Nine-Snake Mother Tree's control over the Vine Giant Rat, it wasn't about usurpation or interruption; the rat's movements slowed, but it kept moving towards the gap.

Its form gradually entered, and at the moment it stepped into the rift, the strong spiritual energy mutated the vines on the Vine Giant Rat's body, writhing like nematodes, whilst its claws twisted sharper and blood burst from splits in its skin.

"Roar"

As half of its body entered, a sudden roar erupted. The Vine Giant Rat couldn't signal before it was torn apart by something inside.

Control was gradually lost due to mutation, right before it was shredded.

"There are already a large number of monsters born inside."

Although they didn't see the whole picture, the fleeting shadows of creatures were clear to Su Han, as they were to Bai Qilan.

"Do you need me to try with a spirit perceptor?"

Her eyebrows knit slightly, but Su Han simply shook his head and said, "With this level of chaos, your spiritual power might be twisted as soon as you send it in, however..."

He glanced thoughtfully at the vines of the Nine-Snake Mother Tree.

The stronger one was, the more capable they were of withstanding erosion, and perhaps it was worth a try.

His thoughts shifting, the vines rapidly extended towards him, and when Bai Qilan saw this, she immediately understood Su Han's idea.

"Use my Talent, along with your Angel Envoy, otherwise you won't be able to see clearly with just the vines."

Su Han looked at Bai Qilan and saw her eyes flicker, yet her tone was resolute.

Being Contractors themselves, they naturally understood the connection between Contractors and their Angel Envoys.

While there was a connection, it wasn't a second set of eyes, nor was it an avatar capable of shared sensation.

Su Han frowned slightly, "Do as you say."

Bai Qilan's suggestion was undoubtedly the most practical, as they had to ascertain the nature of this otherworldly space rift; otherwise, who knew what changes might occur.

Scientific instruments had been tried, but as soon as they approached, the various components would be damaged by interference from the Spiritual Energy, so this was now the only method available.

The vines rapidly reached out, touched Su Han's arm, Bai Qilan grasped his hand, then closed her eyes, slowly enveloped in the glow of Spiritual Energy.

In an instant, Su Han and Bai Qilan entered the state of the Spiritual World, with chaotic purple energy filling the surroundings, like overlapping purple bubbles expanding, colliding, and then shattering, chaotic yet powerful.

The otherworldly space rift was a dazzling streak of light in this Spiritual World.

Su Han didn't hesitate, and immediately made the Nine-Snake Mother Tree move forward. Many vines, glowing with purple Spiritual Energy, approached the otherworldly space rift.

The vines moved with incredible speed, plunging into the purplish-red rift.

Monsters moved to block, but the vines didn't swerve an inch. They pierced through like swords, penetrating one monster after another, entering this other space.

Bai Qilan's brows furrowed, and Su Han's expression became stern, as the powerful, chaotic Spiritual Energy indeed continued to erode the vines of the Nine-Snake Mother Tree.

If it weren't Fourth Grade, this erosion would have likely turned into actual damage.

Fortunately, at this moment, the Spiritual Energy of the Nine-Snake Mother Tree was still resisting.

With the help of their Perception Ability, Su Han and Bai Qilan looked around and their expressions turned into ones of shock.

Inside the other space, a sea of blood tossed and boiled, with waves tens to hundreds of meters high following one after another. The originally deep Spiritual Energy Blood Sea was now like a scalding pot of boiling water, with monsters crawling out from this surging Spiritual Energy Blood Sea, continuously reaching the shore.

Above this strange island, thousands of monsters had amassed, including Gray Inferior Demons and Corpse Ghosts, converging and attacking the vines.

"Boom"

The crimson sky rumbled as if slashed by lightning, with Su Han, the Nine-Snake Mother Tree, and Bai Qilan's Spiritual Energy rapidly draining away, and the constant erosion intensifying their consumption as they resisted.

The monsters roared, charging towards the gate, Su Han's brows furrowed, and he immediately withdrew the vines.

Exiting their perception of the Spiritual World, they were immediately met with the loud roars of monsters—the creatures from the otherworldly space rift had already broken through.

Swarming in, at a tremendous speed, like a tidal wave crashing towards the surrounding walls.

Su Han's gaze sharpened: "Attack!"
