Chapter 2
Episode 2
Taeyoung’s hot tongue parted Seoyeon’s lips, familiar yet overwhelming, as it delved deep into her mouth. His kiss was rough, almost violent, as if he wanted to uproot her very being. His tongue explored her mouth with a ferocity that left her breathless.
Seoyeon’s breathing grew labored under the intensity of the kiss, which felt more like an assault than an act of affection. Even when they had been lovers, Taeyoung had never been this rough with her. The betrayal he must have felt was palpable, and it made her chest ache.
Despite the haze of emotions clouding her mind—after all, she hadn’t gone a single day without thinking of him—Seoyeon mustered all her strength to push him away. She forced herself to wear the same cold, unfeeling mask she had worn when she left him.
“Huh, are you crazy?”
Of course, Taeyoung, with his towering 190cm frame and athletic build, didn’t budge. But he pulled back slightly, as if to give her space, and let out a bitter laugh.
“As you can see.”
He wiped the corner of his mouth with his thumb, tilting his head as he stepped closer to her. His expression was one of someone who had lost all reason.
“W-what do you think you’re doing?!”
Seoyeon’s voice trembled uncontrollably.
“That’s what I’d like to know. What do you think I’m doing?”
“H-how did you find this place? We’re already over—”
“You left on your own. Who gave you the right?”
His words carried the weight of someone who had been searching for her since the moment she left. Of course, he had never accepted her reasons for leaving.
But she had to hold her ground. For her sake, and for his.
“…It wasn’t on a whim.”
Taeyoung’s eyebrow twitched, clearly displeased with her response.
She couldn’t tell him the truth. And she knew that if she looked at his face any longer, her resolve would crumble.
She had to push him away harder.
“You’re the one who acted on a whim.”
Even though she was the one causing the pain, the tremor in Taeyoung’s dark eyes made her heart ache even more.
“Everyone around me talked about you, but I waited for you to tell me yourself. From the beginning, no, even when I asked, you never told me anything. You deceived me, even though we were supposed to be lovers.”
Seoyeon’s words were sharp, like a blade.
“I didn’t know you were supposed to take over the company. I didn’t know you had someone else arranged for marriage. I was a fool.”
“Yoon Seoyeon.”
“You should go. It’s almost time for the baby’s father to come.”
Taeyoung’s gaze had been fixed on her belly since the moment he saw her. If she was this direct, surely he would leave in disgust.
She reached for the door handle, ready to unlock it, but Taeyoung’s large hand gripped her wrist.
“The baby’s father? Who? Are you talking about Choi Wonho?”
The moment Taeyoung mentioned Wonho’s name, Seoyeon froze.
For someone like Taeyoung, it wouldn’t have been hard to dig into her life.
A sinking feeling washed over her.
What if he realized the baby was actually his?
She wanted to lie, to say Wonho was the father, just to make him leave. But the words wouldn’t come out.
Taeyoung had wanted a child with her more than anyone.
That’s why his eyes were burning so intensely now.
“…What does it matter to you who the father is?”
“You’d call that trash the father?”
Wonho, who had grown up with her in the orphanage, wasn’t exactly what anyone would call a respectable man. He made his living with his fists, after all.
Still, he was a grateful friend who had helped her in many ways.
“You didn’t even file a marriage certificate. What, doesn’t he want to take responsibility for the child?”
Taeyoung knew things she hadn’t even told him. She tried not to show her unease, averting her gaze.
“So, I’ll be the father of your child.”
It was clear he wasn’t going to listen to anything she said.
His eyes unfocused, jaw clenched, he grabbed her hand and pulled her further into the house.
Seoyeon struggled to free herself, but it was no use.
“Let go.”
“No matter how much of a thug that punk is, if he finds out you’re carrying another man’s child, he won’t stick around. Then you’ll be alone again, and that’s where I come in.”
“W-what are you—”
“I’m saying I’m going to take you now, until Choi Wonho hears everything outside.”
He gestured toward the window with his chin. Seoyeon couldn’t read his cold expression, but the silhouette of someone’s legs was visible through the dim light filtering into the basement.
More than worrying about someone overhearing, she was terrified of seeing Taeyoung like this—completely unhinged.
“Taeyoung!”
He pushed her down onto the bedding. Seoyeon squirmed in shock, but he didn’t budge.
“Stop this!”
He pinned her legs with his own, rendering her struggles useless. She punched him fiercely, but it had no effect.
He kissed her again, biting her lips as if his only goal was to claim her.
“Ngh, stop!”
His large hand opened her coat and groped her breasts, swollen from pregnancy hormones.
Seoyeon’s pupils dilated in shock.
“Please…”
Her relationship with Taeyoung had always been sweet and intoxicating. But this was different. His twisted anger was palpable.
She didn’t want it like this.
Especially not with their child inside her.
She knew Taeyoung better than anyone, and that made this situation even more terrifying.
She knew he would regret this later.
By now, her top and bra had been pushed up to her neck, her breasts exposed.
“Hng…”
As his warm breath descended on her chest, a familiar sensation rose within her despite the fear, and her hips twitched.
But when Taeyoung’s hand moved lower, she let out a scream, tears streaming down her face.
“Taeyoung, please…”
His hand stopped as he looked down at her, tears streaming down her face. He brushed her disheveled hair aside, his expression unreadable, before slowly getting up.
Seoyeon quickly pulled her clothes back on, covering her face with her hands.
She cried because she understood his anger, his roughness.
Her body and heart remembered him, but this wasn’t the way.
“Hng, sob…”
“Crying won’t change anything. I’m still going to have you today.”
Taeyoung’s voice, low with arousal, came from behind her as she lay on her side.
