My Love Debts Are Everywhere!

Chapter 670: The Dutiful Children

Inside her workspace, Liliana was finishing a pile of work she hadn't had time to complete.

Arshley's arrival meant she had to wrap everything up quickly so they could discuss the future cooperation between their two races.

Suddenly, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed from outside. Moments later, there was a knock at the door, followed by Lyra's frantic voice.

*Knock!*

"Your Majesty, may I come in? I have something important to report!"

Liliana paused, her hand frozen mid-task. She glanced at the door, her expression a mix of confusion and surprise.

"Come in, Lyra," she said casually, leaning back in her chair.

*Clack!*

The door swung open, and Lyra rushed inside, panting.

Her face—usually calm and expressionless—was now pale and panicked, as if she had just seen a ghost.

"What's wrong with you? Why do you look so terrified? Don't tell me some powerful enemy defeated you," Liliana joked.

It was the first time she'd seen Lyra make such an expression, and honestly, it looked both amusing and a little ridiculous.

Still catching her breath, Lyra stepped forward, her face still drained of color.

"Your Majesty, this is serious! Saint Arshley has met the young ladies—Charlotte, Iris, Fiona, and Stella!"

The moment those words left her lips, the smile vanished from Liliana's face. Her eyes widened in shock as she rose to her feet, frozen.

"Are you serious? How could that happen? I told them to stay hidden!" she exclaimed.

"I don't know either, Your Majesty." Lyra shook her head, her expression full of guilt. "Just now, I saw Young Lady Fiona in Saint Arshley's arms, heading toward the room where the other young ladies were. I didn't dare to show myself, so I ran straight here to report it."

Liliana fell silent, her face clouded with a complicated expression. After a moment, she let out a long sigh and rubbed her temples.

"This was my mistake," she muttered in frustration.

She wasn't worried that Arshley would harm them—what troubled her was the timing.

She had no intention of revealing her children with Leon so soon. Her plan had been to explain everything to Arshley later, when the time was right, to avoid unnecessary tension.

But now that Arshley had met them unexpectedly, Liliana felt awkward. She had no idea how to explain the situation.

"Alright," Liliana said with another deep sigh. "Come with me. I'll have to talk to her and explain everything. If I don't, it'll only create misunderstandings."

Lyra nodded in agreement. Just as they were about to leave, a maid approached and bowed respectfully before Liliana.

"Good afternoon, Your Majesty. I apologize for the interruption, but I bring news," the maid said politely.

Liliana looked slightly surprised but remained silent, giving her a small nod to continue.

The maid straightened and added, "A moment ago, Saint Arshley informed me that she plans to take the young ladies on a sightseeing tour of the capital. She asked me to pass this message on to you."

Upon hearing that, Liliana and Lyra froze, disbelief written all over their faces.

"Arshley is taking the children out for sightseeing? Does that mean... she's accepted them?" Liliana wondered silently.

She had expected Arshley to struggle with the truth. After all, who wouldn't be upset to learn that someone they loved had children with another woman?

But maybe… she had been wrong?

"Huh…" Liliana let out a quiet sigh of relief. "Thank you for the update."

The maid nodded, bowed respectfully, and then left.

"Your Majesty, are you sure this is okay?" Lyra asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty.

Liliana gave a soft smile as she turned to look out the window beside her.

"It's fine. If Arshley chose to take them with her, it means she's acknowledged them," she replied gently.

Lyra opened her mouth to speak, but then closed it again. In the end, she simply sighed in relief and gave a quiet nod.

"Wow! The capital is as busy as ever!"

"That's right! I can't wait to explore it!"

"Mm! Mm! I want to buy some candy!"

"Alright, let's try to act a little more mature. Otherwise, Mommy Arshley will have a hard time."

Amid the lively hustle and bustle of the capital, Fiona, Charlotte, Iris, and Stella gathered with bright, excited expressions.

They had visited the capital before with their mother and father, but the city's vibrant atmosphere never failed to excite them.

Besides, the capital had changed a bit since their last visit.

Well, that was only natural—it had been nearly a year since they were last here.

Behind them, Arshley was also quietly impressed by how much the city had developed. Its prosperity was on par with that of the Holy Orthodox region.

"Liliana truly is an exceptional leader. She's managed to bring this capital to life," Arshley praised inwardly.

To the average person, the crowds were just part of the city's charm. But as a leader herself, Arshley paid attention to the deeper details—economic activity, infrastructure, and the systems that kept the city thriving.

That was why she was so deeply impressed by Liliana's achievements.

The city was not only prosperous but also well-designed: the wide main street easily accommodated horse-drawn carriages, while the spacious sidewalks on either side offered a comfortable path for pedestrians.

Merchants had set up stalls along the sidewalks, adding to the lively, welcoming atmosphere and making it easy for buyers and sellers to interact.

Just watching the scene was enough for Arshley to gain valuable insight—and she was already considering how to adopt similar ideas in future Holy Orthodox cities.

Then, turning to the little girls, she asked softly, "Well, my dears, is there anything you'd like to buy?"

Fiona bounced excitedly and was just about to answer when Charlotte gently stopped her.

Charlotte pulled a small leather pouch from her pocket and handed it to Arshley.

"Mommy, I brought some money. Please hold it for when we go shopping," she said with a smile.

Iris and Stella quickly followed, pulling out their own money pouches from under their dress pockets and passing them to Arshley.

"I have some too, Mommy! Please hold it!"

"Mm! Mm! Hold this!"

Not wanting to be left out, Fiona eagerly held out her own pouch.

"Me too, Mommy Arshley! Take it, take it!"

Several demons who happened to be passing by noticed the scene and couldn't help but comment. They exchanged looks of admiration.

"What clever and thoughtful little girls! They're giving their money to their mother!"

"That's right. Such obedient children... If only my kid were like them, I'd finally have peace of mind about his future…"

Similar voices could be heard among the crowd, all full of praise for the four little girls.

After all, children that dutiful were a rare sight.

Meanwhile, Arshley looked surprised.

She crouched down with a smile, glanced at the small pouches in their hands, and asked, "Why are you giving me your money?"

Charlotte scratched her head shyly. "Well… we know you just arrived in the Demon Territory, Mommy. So, you probably don't have any currency that works here."

Before they left, Charlotte had already thought about this. That's why she asked her sisters to bring their money—with the intention of giving it to Arshley.

That way, Mommy Arshley wouldn't have to worry about not having the right money to spend.

Hearing her explanation, Arshley was stunned. She hadn't expected the girls to be so thoughtful.

It was incredible… and deeply touching.

In that moment, her affection for them swelled.

She had always known they were kind and considerate, but experiencing it like this made her feel even more moved.

"Brother Leon really is amazing. These children must have grown up this way because of his guidance," she thought to herself.

Of course, she didn't ignore Liliana's role as a parent. But as far as Arshley knew, Liliana didn't seem like the type to teach things like this.

She had good reason to think that—after all, she herself had been raised and educated directly by her brother from a young age.

That's why she was convinced Leon had played the biggest role in shaping the children's character.

"I appreciate your thoughtfulness," Arshley said gently, affectionately rubbing each of their heads in turn. "But I'm not going to take money from my own children. You know, your father already gave me a lot of Demon race currency."

The four little girls exchanged stunned glances.

"Daddy gave you money?" Iris asked hesitantly.

"Yes, quite a lot," Arshley replied with a small nod, pulling out a black pouch from beneath her gown.

When she opened it, it revealed hundreds—no, perhaps thousands—of gleaming gold coins inside.

Charlotte, Iris, Fiona, and Stella's eyes widened in disbelief.

Seeing their reactions, Arshley chuckled softly and gently pinched each of their chubby cheeks. "Do you believe me now?"

Snapping out of their shock, the girls quickly nodded and exclaimed in unison, "We believe you!"

They hadn't expected Arshley to carry that much money—especially money given to her by their father!

But beneath their surprise, a wave of joy surged. After all, with that much money, didn't it mean they could buy lots of delicious food in the capital?

As if sharing the same thought, the girls looked at each other with sparkling eyes full of anticipation.

Arshley immediately noticed and chuckled warmly.

Taking Charlotte and Fiona by the hands, she smiled lovingly at Iris and Stella.

"Let's go shopping and have some fun. And yes—we're going to buy lots of food! Sound good?"

"Agreed!" they cheered in unison, bursting with excitement.

"Good." Arshley nodded, satisfied.

And just like that, a stunningly beautiful woman and her daughters strolled through the capital, happily spending money on the simplest pleasures—simply enjoying their time together.
