My Love Debts Are Everywhere!

Chapter 568: A Wolf Monster Pack Attack

Leon, Nana, and Elina walked side by side toward the eastern part of the forest.

Since neither Leon nor Elina knew the exact location of the last mark Nana had left, they could only rely on her to guide the way.

Along the way, they didn't encounter any monsters or obstacles.

However, the forest was eerily quiet and dim, the kind of silence that sent chills down one's spine.

The most unsettling part was the enormous, lush trees towering above them, making Leon, Elina, and Nana feel as small as ants in comparison.

"Are you sure this is the right way, Nana?" Elina asked, curiosity in her voice.

Nana smiled and gave a small nod. "Yeah, Elina. The last mark should be in this direction. But I don't know the exact spot, so I'll need you and Young Master to help me look around."

"Alright, leave it to me," Leon said with a nod.

As they walked, he brought his index and middle fingers together and gently rubbed his right eye.

*Buzz!*

His right eye suddenly flickered with golden light, and his vision sharpened drastically, allowing him to see dozens of times farther than before.

Every detail became clear—even the smallest leaves stood out.

It was one of the hero techniques created by a Sword Hero three thousand years ago, known as Celestial Eye.

The technique greatly enhanced the user's vision, allowing them to see over long distances, perceive fine details, and spot even the slightest movements.

This hero technique could also be used in combat, giving the user a significant advantage by allowing them to track enemy movements with heightened precision.

However, the technique consumed a large amount of holy power, so Leon rarely used it unless necessary.

While scanning the surroundings, something about two hundred meters away caught his attention.

A large black dot was moving steadily in their direction.

Leon's brow furrowed as he focused on it.

"What is that?" he muttered, puzzled.

He observed it more closely, and in an instant, his expression changed.

"A wolf pack…" he murmured in surprise.

The approaching wolves had various fur colors, and each one stood an intimidating three to four meters tall.

Their expressions were fierce and furious, their eyes locked onto a target—clearly hunting something.

Leon quickly realized they were coming for him. After all, he had killed one of them earlier.

With their keen sense of smell, it wasn't difficult for them to track the killer.

What surprised Leon, however, was how quickly they had found him, Elina, and Nana.

"As expected of the monsters that dwell in the Forest of Eternal Silence… Incredible," he thought with a faint smile.

Despite the situation, he wasn't afraid in the slightest. Not even a dragon would faze him—let alone a pack of wolves.

He calmly deactivated the Celestial Eye technique and turned toward Elina and Nana, who were still happily chatting nearby.

"Nana, Elina, there's a threat approaching from ahead."

His words made both girls tense instantly. Their expressions stiffened, filled with fear.

"A threat? What is it, Young Master? Is it a monster?" Elina asked, her voice trembling.

Beside her, Nana also looked frightened. Her face had gone pale, and she quickly moved to Leon's right side, clutching the hem of his mantle.

Only by standing close to him did she feel a little safer.

Leon gently patted Nana's head, calming her until her eyes curved into soft crescents.

"Yes. It's a pack of wolf monsters—relatives of the one I killed earlier. They've come to avenge it," Leon said with a casual nod.

Elina bit her lower lip, then asked hesitantly, "In that case, what will you do, Young Master? Are you going to face them directly?"

Though she believed in Leon's strength, the fear in her heart remained.

After all, those wolf monsters stood three to four meters tall and possessed immense power. And since they moved in packs, one could easily imagine how terrifying they were.

"Yes, I'll face them head-on. Don't worry," Leon replied in a calm, reassuring tone. "Now, you two go and hide. I'll take care of them and end this cycle of vengeance."

With Leon's firm declaration, Elina and Nana didn't dare argue.

They quickly ran off and hid behind the root of a massive tree about fifty meters away from where they had stood.

The root was five meters tall—large enough to conceal their small bodies completely.

After making sure they were safely hidden, Leon rubbed his right wrist and opened his palm.

*Whoosh!*

A streak of light flashed, and the Holy Sword Zenith, which had not been summoned for a long time, finally revealed itself.

The moment it appeared, the surrounding air trembled, and dust on the ground swirled into the air.

Leon grasped the hilt of the sword and gently ran his hand along the blade.

"Come, my friend. It's been a while since we fought together," Leon said with a spark of excitement.

*Buzz!*

As if responding to his words, a bright white light radiated from the blade of the Holy Sword Zenith.

Without hesitation, Leon thrust the blade forward and charged toward the wolf pack.

Seeing this, Nana grabbed Elina's wrist tightly and shook it in panic.

"Elina! Elina! Is everything going to be alright? I'm afraid the Fated One is in danger!" She cried anxiously, her voice trembling.

She knew very well how terrifying just one wolf monster was—capable of crushing a massive tree trunk with a single bite!

Although Leon had defeated one before, that was only a single wolf.

Now, over a hundred of them were approaching, each one just as powerful!

She couldn't even begin to imagine how badly Leon might be hurt.

"Ouch! That hurts, Nana! Let go!" Elina quickly brushed Nana's hand off her arm, wincing in pain.

"S-Sorry, Elina! Did I hurt you?" Nana asked, her voice filled with panic and guilt.

Elina sighed softly and shook her head. "It's okay, I'm fine."

She then turned to Leon, who was charging toward the wolf pack, and spoke reassuringly, "The Fated One is incredibly strong. You don't need to worry."

At first, Elina had been anxious as well. However, her worries slowly faded when she saw the white sword, adorned with golden patterns, appear earlier.

She recognized it—the Holy Sword of Zenith. One of the ancient manuscripts in the Elven palace had described the sword and the extraordinary power it possessed.

After all, it was one of the two legendary swords used to seal the Evil God in the past.

Seeing Elina's calmness, Nana could only hold back her own fears, watching Leon with an expectant gaze.

"May he survive…" she whispered softly, as if offering a silent prayer.
