Aqua: *sniff* *sniff*...it stinks…my clothes stink..!

A whimpering, slime-covered aqua trudged behind everyone.

Megumin: thank you mister for saving me from being eaten from that toad…i don't really want to know how it feels to be inside one…

Megumin says as she is carried by varakiel.

Varakiel: haha, is okay, but you should have saved up that explosion until they reunited a bunch of toads you know.

Kazuma: how i am supposed to do something like that!?

Varakiel: just sneak behind them their eyes doesn't allow them to see behind them….did any of you went to the Library to check out the bestiary?

Kazuma: …..

Aqua:.....

Megumin:.....

Varakiel: *sigh* kids these days, really.

Granberia: seriously, all of you are asking to be killed, people gathered information for a reason. And Don't put any excuse the bestiary is free to see in the Library.

Kazuma: save your explosions for emergencies from now on, megumin. You should stick to smaller stuff most of the time.

Megumin then clench her hands that were resting in varakiel shoulders.

Megumin: i….can't

Kazuma: huh? You can't what?

Megumin grip gets harder.

Megumin: i can't…use anything but explosion. Im completely incapable of casting any other spells.

Kazuma: you're kidding.

Megumin: no, i am not.

Aqua interested speaks.

Aqua: what do you mean, you can't use anything but explosion? If you have enough skill points for that, surely you have enough to learn other spells, too?

Kazuma: (skill points?...oh yeah)

Aqua: you get skill points when you choose a class, and you use them to learn abilities. The better you are, the more points you start with, and you can allocate them to various skills. For example, i am very exceptional, so i started by learning all the party tricks skills and then all the magic appropriate to an arch-priest.

Kazuma: what are party trick skills for?

Granberia:....

Varakiel:....

Aqua: the types of skills a person can learn are limited by their class and personality, for example, someone who hates water would have to spend more points to learn ice or water related skills or in a worst case scenario, might not be able to learn them at all. Explosive magics are part of the category called multi type magic, because they rely on a deep knowledge of both fire and air magic, among others.

Varakiel: ohh i see, hmmm no wonder it took so little points to learn explosive arrow…

Granberia: yeah is good to know that now we know what kind of skills we should look first….

Aqua: mhm, also someone who can learn a spell from the explosive magics should have no problem learning other elemental magic.

Kazuma: in other words, there's no reason you should be able to use an advanced spell like explosion and not easier spells.

Megumin whispers from varakiel's back

Megumin: i…am an arch-wizard who adores explosion above all else. I do not care for all the explosive magics—explosion is my only love.

Granberia:.....

Varakiel: hmm…

Megumin: of course it might be easier for me to go adventuring if i took other skills. Even abilities in the basic elements of fire, water, earth and air would help me…but i cannot. I love only explosion. even if, with my present MP, i can cast it only once a day. Even if i collapse after casting it. It does not matter. I love only explosion! Indeed, i chose the path of the arch-wizard merely and solely so i could cast that one spell!

Aqua: incredible, just wonderful. When i see you pursuing something such utterly impractical-and yet so romantic–im moved to tears..!

Kazuma: (i'd made up my mind) wow, is that so? Well, it won't be an easy road, but stay strong! Oh, hey, there's the town! When we get to the guild, let's split the reward three ways. And then, who knows? Maybe we'll meet again someday

Varakiel: hm? They are not your party megumin?

Megumin: No, I do not have a party…

Varakiel: heee, how come anyone doesn't accept someone who can use explosion at such young age, seriously…then do you want to join my party then?

Kazuma aqua megumin: ehhhhhh!!!!!?

Kazuma: this guy is crazy…oh well see you

Kazuma then leaves

Aqua: b-but we waited for a new party member kazuma say something!

Aqua pursues kazuma…

Megumin: a-are you sure? I-i can only use magic explosion.

Varakiel: of course.

Megumin: e-even when you don't go to do quest i have to use it so i will pester you to bring me out of the city to use it…

Varakiel: we always go out on quest we don't rest a single day.

Megumin: i-i-i will be unable to help you in dungeons….

Varakiel: not worry about it~.

Megumin: *hic* thank you…

Varakiel: hehe you're welcome megumin now lets go back to the guild to add you on our party, alright?

Megumin: Alright!

Megumin says with a cheerful tone and a smile.

Granberia: *sigh* well our dream is more unreasonable that your's so welcome aboard.

Megumin: hm what is your dream?

Varakiel: hehe, we want to learn all the skills in the world!

Megumin: ehhhhh!!!!!?

Megunin is surprised she never heard of such unreasonable dream before.

Megumin: wait….to achieve that dream then your classes are…

Varakiel: my name is Varakiel fateburn i am an adventurer is nice to have you megumin~.

Granberia: my name is granberia, i am this idiot partner and i am an adventurer aswell.

Megumin: c-can i see your status card?

Varakiel: sure~.

Varakiel then hands his status card to megumin…

Megumin: ehhhhh!? These stats you could be an advanced class already, and still!

Varakiel: hehe, we understand your dream very well megumin, so lets work hard together, alright?

Megumin:.....umu!!
