Chapter 6: Chapter 006 Qin Shiyao
"Get lost," the little girl's delicate voice commanded, "I don't want to drink with you."
As she spoke, the little girl swayed slightly, her voice soft and fluffy, clearly a bit drunk.
"I just love feisty girls, the feistier, the better," the bald man said with a smile, his hand covering the cup moving ever so slightly.
Seeing this, Ye Chen furrowed his brows, disgusted that they would resort to such dirty tricks.
The bald man picked up a glass from the table and said to the little girl, "Come on, beauty, don't be like that. Drink this glass for me, just this one, and after that, we'll leave."
The two companions next to him also started to goad, "Beauty, you can't just ignore our bald brother's face."
The little girl glanced at the burly forms of the few hooligans and became somewhat timid, clearly sensing their coercive intent. If she rejected again, there was no telling if they would resort to force.
After hesitating for a moment, the little girl compromised, picked up the glass, and was about to down it in one go when Ye Chen reached out and took it from her hands.
"You looking for death, kid? I'd advise you to mind your own business, or I guarantee you won't walk out of Nightlight Bar alive," the bald man said coldly. Annoyed that someone interrupted just as he was about to get the delicate beauty in his grasp, he felt his anger boiling over.
"You know damn well what you put in that drink. Get lost now, and I might just pretend I didn't see anything," Ye Chen said coolly.
The bald man's face changed, his eyes filled with a ferocious light, "Drink the toast or drink the penalty. In Nightlight Bar, I've never seen anyone dare to talk to me like that. Kneel down and give me three loud kowtows now, and I might just let you off."
Ye Chen's expression was ice-cold, his eyes flickering with a hint of killing intent as he swiftly raised his foot and kicked the bald man.
Bang!
The bald man grunted as he was sent flying several meters, crashing into several chairs before he heavily fell to the ground, wailing in pain.
"What are you two waiting for? He dared to sneak attack me; kill this trash," the bald man roared while lying on the ground.
The two henchmen exchanged a glance and charged with fists raised. Ye Chen moved swiftly, and in the blink of an eye, the two were lying on the ground, curling up and wailing.
"Uncle, you're so awesome."
Within just a few seconds, Ye Chen had laid all three men flat. The little girl, drunk and full of adoration, couldn't help clap and cheer.
The bald man on the ground had a glint of viciousness in his eye as he pulled out a dagger, clutched it in his hand, and stabbed at Ye Chen.
"Uncle, be careful!"
The little girl screamed as she saw the bald man's stabbing motion toward Ye Chen.
Ye Chen's hand, strong as iron tongs, immediately grasped the bald man's wrist, and with a slight force, the sound of crunching bones rang out as the bald man's wrist was briskly snapped, causing him to scream out in agony as he fell to the ground.
The bald man endured the intense pain, intending to threaten Ye Chen with words, but what met him instead was the deep, stern gaze of Ye Chen, cold as the stars. Under Ye Chen's gaze, the bald man felt as if immobilized by two sharp knives, his entire body drenched in cold sweat, as if he had fallen into boundless Hell.
The words he had ready at the tip of his tongue, upon meeting Ye Chen's gaze that seemed to harbor seas of blood and mountains of corpses, were abruptly swallowed back.
In that moment, Ye Chen appeared like a king wrapped in boundless authority, and the power emanating from him left the bald man too terrified to speak.
The commotion caught the attention of the surrounding crowd, but the bar was a place where chaos reigned, and brawls were common. Moreover, since the bald man had a notorious reputation in this area, naturally, nobody dared to interfere.
"Young lady, you're not even that old, yet you're following others to bars and drinking. Do you even know this place is dangerous?"
Ye Chen walked up to the little girl and said indifferently.
"My name is Qin Shiyao, not some young lady. I'm already of age," Qin Shiyao retorted with dissatisfaction.
"Alright, cut the bravado. Let's go, I'll take you home," Ye Chen said with a hint of annoyance.
Qin Shiyao hated being called young and was about to argue with Ye Chen when she suddenly felt dizzy, and her body, unsteady, fell onto Ye Chen.
"How much did she drink?"
Ye Chen's face showed a look of helplessness as he picked up Qin Shiyao and walked out of the bar.
"Where do you live? I'll take you home."
As they exited the bar's main door, Ye Chen shook Qin Shiyao in his arms and asked.
The previously lively Qin Shiyao now curled up in Ye Chen's arms like a kitten, dozing off in confusion.
"Hey, don't sleep, wake up, where's your home?"
"Stop bothering me, I want to sleep," Qin Shiyao mumbled in a daze.
Ye Chen felt a stream of black lines running through his head and couldn't help but wryly smile. What is this mess? Tell me your home address before you fall asleep.
Left with no choice, Ye Chen freed one hand to search Qin Shiyao's person, hoping to find some identification or a phone.
Ye Chen checked the back pocket of her jeans and pulled out a phone. Turning it on, he found it was locked and required a password. Shaking the girl in his arms, Ye Chen got no response.
With resignation, Ye Chen looked at Qin Shiyao sleeping sweetly in his arms. He had to admit this girl's features were quite delicate—a real beauty in the making.
Lucky it was me who found her. If she'd fallen into the hands of those scumbags, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
If it were an adult woman, Ye Chen wouldn't have had so many qualms.
But with such a young girl who wasn't even of age yet, Ye Chen, though a scoundrel himself, simply could not bring himself to act.
What to do? If he took her back to the villa, it would probably be hard to explain. Thinking it over, he decided to just book a hotel room, leave her there, and wait for the girl to wake up and go home on her own.
Having made up his mind, Ye Chen carried her to a nearby hotel, and amidst the meaningful glances of the staff, he opened a room, feeling somewhat embarrassed.
Once in the room, Ye Chen placed Qin Shiyao on the bed, tucked her in, and turned to leave.
This girl was a big problem right now. Of all the strategies, retreat was the best move.
Just as Ye Chen reached the door, a noise came from the bed, followed by the sound of dry heaving. He quickly turned back to see Qin Shiyao propping herself up, looking like she was about to vomit.
Ye Chen was startled. If she threw up on the bed, that would be trouble. He rushed over, picked up Qin Shiyao, and ran for the bathroom.
"Girl, don't throw up on me."
The sound of vomiting ensued, and an acrid smell filled the air, as Qin Shiyao vomited all over Ye Chen.
"My brand-new clothes, encountering you really is like bad luck for eight generations," he said with a wry smile.
Ignoring the mess on himself, Ye Chen rushed her into the bathroom to finish vomiting there.
After it was over, Qin Shiyao regained some consciousness, hugged Ye Chen, and muttered in confusion, "Uncle, where's the alcohol? Let's continue drinking."
Even in this drunken state, she still thought about drinking. Ye Chen, frustrated, stretched out a hand and knocked on her head.
With a crisp sound, Ye Chen's knock was forceful, and Qin Shiyao immediately winced, tears welling up in her eyes as she whimpered, "Uncle, you're bullying me, it really hurts."
A bittersweet smile appeared on Ye Chen's face. He took a towel and wiped off the mess from Qin Shiyao, gave her a cup of water to rinse her mouth, and then tucked her into bed.
After covering her up, Ye Chen cleaned his dirty clothes in the bathroom, hung them to dry, and went back to the bedroom.
By then, Qin Shiyao had already kicked the quilt aside, her sleeping position extremely unsightly.
Sleeping so restlessly, Ye Chen, feeling resigned, had no choice but to cover Qin Shiyao with the quilt again.
Ye Chen sighed, and just as he was about to leave, Qin Shiyao grabbed his hand and mumbled, "Uncle, don't go, Yaoyao is scared."
