My Crazy Journey with My Summons

Chapter 12: Chapter 12: “Come on, baby! Don’t be shy!”

Third floor.

Knowing he wouldn't get anything useful out of Ted, Rango charged upstairs without hesitation, striding with purpose. His eyes scanned the area sharply as he swept through the entire floor again. When he was sure there wasn't even a trace of anything resembling a maid, he turned to Megan, who had followed him up.

"Check how many people died here before this house was officially declared haunted. Any of them servants?"

Megan processed the request, her eyes flickering with data streams before replying promptly, "According to publicly available records, three families have been confirmed dead in this villa. The third family had a maid. On the night of the incident, the lady of the house came home early and discovered her husband having an affair with the maid. In a fit of rage, she shot and killed both of them."

Rango nodded slightly. That maid had died decades ago, and now she had suddenly reappeared at the very spot where she died.

Pretty clearly a bound spirit.

But something still bothered him. If three families had already died here, and that was just what had made it online, how many deaths hadn't been reported?

And more importantly… was the maid really the only ghost bound to this place?

After thinking it over, Rango made up his mind.

This place was probably featured in some old movie or TV drama. The problem was, while he'd seen plenty of films, he hadn't seen any TV dramas. Yeah, who had time for that crap?

Feeling the slight pulse of his system in his palm, Rango grinned with confidence and turned casually to head back downstairs.

"Nothing to worry about. Time to eat."

Having explored plenty of cursed lands and haunted ruins across Africa and the Middle East, and having driven his system's progress to 99% through sheer grit, Rango wasn't about to be intimidated by a few ghosts too scared to even show their faces.

Soon after, following Megan's expertly prepared lunch, Rango gave Ted and the others a brief nod before heading to his bedroom for a hot shower and an afternoon nap.

Working night shifts was truly a pain. If it were regular daytime hours, at least you'd get to enjoy your evenings. But night shifts? You barely had enough energy left to eat, let alone relax. All you wanted was to sleep. And by the time you woke up, it was already time for the next shift.

Same number of working hours, sure, but it always felt like you had way less time for yourself.

Yawning, Rango stripped off his shirt and boxers, revealing a strong, well-built physique. He stretched a bit in the bedroom, then pulled open the bathroom door and turned on the shower.

Right then, he felt a faint warmth pulse through his palm. But Rango showed no reaction, as if nothing had happened.

Still humming to himself, he closed his eyes and calmly shampooed under the water.

"I tried so hard, and got so far… But in the end, it doesn't even matter!!!"

He belted out the lyrics, rinsed the suds from his hair, and opened his eyes to grab a towel, only to pause, frowning slightly at what he saw.

The water spraying from the showerhead had suddenly turned a dark, blood-red color, thick and foul-smelling, like rotting blood.

Fwoosh!

Rango yanked open the shower curtain in one swift, furious motion, eyes filled with rage. He yelled into the empty room, "Son of a! You really got the guts to pull this crap while I'm in the shower? I swear, if I catch you, I'll smash your damn soul into pieces one punch at a time!"

CRACK!

Before the last word even left his mouth, he swung his fist into the tiled wall. A flash of blue light burst out, and the hard ceramic shattered instantly, the impact strong enough to make the air itself seem to tremble.

Just then, the murky blood-like liquid in the shower instantly turned back to clear water. In the same moment, a figure in a maid outfit darted out of Rango's bedroom in panic, phasing right through the wall and vanishing.

"You really trying to scare me with a cheap illusion like that? Do you even know who the hell I am?" Rango cursed under his breath as he grabbed a towel and began drying off.

He'd noticed it back in Africa, low-level spirits like bound ghosts and wandering souls had an instinctive fear of foul-mouthed scoundrels. If that scoundrel also happened to have taken lives and carried the scent of blood, your average ghost wouldn't even dare to come close.

In other words, ghosts only dared to mess with good people.

Still, while drying off, Rango recalled the way that maid spirit had fled in a panic. His eyes lit up with a trace of amusement.

"A ghost in black stockings. Now that's a first."

A short while later.

Freshened up and ready for some rest, Rango flopped onto the bed to catch a nap. He still had to pull the night shift later, and he needed to recharge.

The spirits haunting the museum were way more annoying than the ones here. As for Megan and Ted outside, he wasn't too concerned.

Megan, being a robot with no human emotions, was completely immune to illusions. And Ted? That guy was sharper than him sometimes. The moment things turned south, he'd be the first one to run like a bitch.

Stretching with a yawn, Rango pulled the blanket aside and prepared to get in, when suddenly, a burning sensation flared in his palm again. Before he could react, a pair of muscular, hairy legs wrapped tightly around his waist!

And then came the voice. That disgusting male voice.

"Kiss me, baby~!"

"Son of a whore!!"

Like he'd been electrocuted, Rango shot out of bed, kicked the covers off, and threw a punch downward with all his strength!

Unfortunately, the punch hit nothing but air.

"Hahahah!!!"

A second later, laughter rang out from the side of the bed. A man with thick body hair and tight shorts was leaning against the wall, giving Rango a sultry look.

He looked exactly like the guy from the photos in that suitcase from the basement.

As Rango turned to face him, the ghost pursed his lips in a seductive pout and purred, "Come on baby! Don't be shy!"

"Fu*k you!"

Rango was beyond furious. He lunged straight at the spirit.

The ghost, clearly not expecting a living person to show zero fear, was caught completely off guard.

By the time he realized what was happening, Rango's fist, glowing with blue energy, had already smashed into his face, sending him flying several meters across the room and slamming into the wall with a crack.

"AH! THAT HURT!"

The bound spirit crawled weakly from the floor, his face scorched and oozing black smoke where he'd been hit. He barely had time to register that a living human had managed to land a blow, because the pain was blinding. He couldn't even stay on his feet.

As he tried to call for help, Rango, now boiling with rage, leapt over and unleashed another punch. And another. And another! He also made sure to erase the ghost's disgusting thing from this universe. His dick!

Rango had never been violated like that in his life. Just thinking about that nauseating touch made him hit even harder, and from a sick freaking dude nonetheless.

Moments ago, this twisted ghost had been dancing seductively. Now he was curled in a corner, barely hanging on to un-life, covered in injuries, black smoke billowing from his form, and writhing in pain.

Huff! Huff!

Breathing heavily, Rango finally let up once he felt his rage settle. He stared at the half-dead spirit slumped against the wall.

Finally, he'd caught one alive… or tangible in case of a ghost. But just as he reached down to grab the ghost for interrogation, a pair of pale hands suddenly reached out from the wall behind, clamped tightly onto the spirit's shoulders.

Rango lunged forward to stop it, but it was too late. In an instant, the ghost was yanked back into the wall and disappeared.

"YOU DISGUSTING PIG! I AM COMING TO KILL YOUR ASS!!"
