Chapter 10: Ep 10 - Sincerity
The overcast sky blanketed the campus, mirroring the emotions weighing on Yoongi that night. After an exhausting evening practice, Jimin noticed something unusual in Yoongi's demeanor. Unlike his usual self, Yoongi was quieter, burdened by something unseen.
"Hyung," Jimin called out as they walked side by side toward the auditorium exit. "Are you okay? You've seemed unfocused all evening."
Yoongi simply nodded without giving an actual response, making Jimin even more concerned. He knew that pressing further might annoy Yoongi, but he couldn't just ignore what he felt.

When they reached the campus garden, Yoongi suddenly stopped. His gaze was fixed on the trees swaying gently in the night breeze. Jimin stood beside him, silently waiting, giving him space to speak if he wanted to.
"Jimin," Yoongi finally said, his voice nearly drowned by the wind. "Have you ever felt like… no matter what you do, it's never enough?"
That question struck something deep within Jimin. He understood that feeling better than he would like to admit. "I feel that way a lot, hyung," Jimin answered softly. "Sometimes, it feels like all my efforts mean nothing. But I've learned that… it doesn't mean I should stop trying."
Yoongi let out a small smile, though it was faint and heavy with unspoken thoughts. "I envy you, Jimin. You have the courage to keep trying, even when everything feels overwhelming."
Jimin looked at Yoongi with warmth in his eyes. "Hyung, I keep trying because I know there are people who support me—like Jungkook… and like you. But if I'm being honest, I want to support you too. I don't want to see you feeling alone."
Yoongi didn't reply immediately. He simply gazed at Jimin with an unreadable expression, as if contemplating something.
"Let's sit for a while," Jimin said, gently pulling Yoongi toward a nearby bench.
Once seated, Jimin rummaged through his bag and pulled out a can of warm coffee he had bought earlier. He handed it to Yoongi with a small smile. "Here, hyung. I know this won't solve your problems, but I hope it can warm your night, even just a little."
Yoongi accepted the coffee without a word, but something in his eyes changed—an unspoken gratitude. He opened the can and took a slow sip, letting the warmth seep through him.
"Thank you, Jimin," Yoongi finally murmured, his voice soft yet sincere.
Jimin grinned, feeling slightly relieved that Yoongi was starting to open up. "Hyung, I know this might be hard, but I hope you know that I'm here for you. No matter what happens, I'm not going anywhere."
Yoongi stared at Jimin for a long moment. There was so much he wanted to say, but words didn't seem enough to express what he truly felt. Yet, for the first time in a long while, he felt like someone genuinely understood and cared for him—without expecting anything in return.

That night ended with something Jimin never expected. As they walked back to the dorms, Yoongi suddenly stopped and turned toward him.
"Jimin," he called.
Jimin looked at him, puzzled. "Yeah, hyung?"
Yoongi's lips curled into a small smile—a smile so sincere and gentle, like the first breeze of spring brushing against Jimin's heart. "Thank you."
Jimin was momentarily stunned, but then, he smiled brightly. "You're welcome, hyung."
That night, though the sky remained clouded, Jimin felt as if a small light had entered their bond. And for Yoongi, that simple smile was the first step toward trust—something he had buried deep within himself for far too long.
