Despite her composure, Roman was beginning to overwhelm her defenses. His blade's dark energy seemed to sap her strength with every clash, forcing her to adjust her tactics.
"Impressive," she admitted through gritted teeth, her earlier mocking tone replaced with genuine acknowledgment. "But don't think you can defeat me so easily."
Roman smirked, blood dripping from his earlier wound but his resolve unwavering. "You'll find I'm full of surprises."
The two clashed again, their movements blurring as the fight reached a fever pitch. Each strike echoed through the chamber, the outcome hanging in the balance as they pushed each other to their limits.

Leon continued to walk, finally reaching the elevated platform where the King sat leisurely on his throne. The skeletal figure remained still, its posture exuding an unsettling air of indifference. As Leon stepped onto the platform, the faint echo of his footsteps reverberated through the chamber.
However, the moment he stepped on the next platform, the skeleton's eyes lit up with eerie, ghostly white flames. A deep, haunting voice echoed through the room as the King slowly raised his head to look at Leon.
"Mortal," the King intoned, his tone dripping with disdain. "Do you not know the basic etiquette of greeting a King?"
Above his head, a glowing name suddenly appeared, accompanied by a chilling aura:
[The Slothful King - Myrazar Solatse]
A notification from the system immediately flashed before Leon's eyes:
[New Quest Available!]
[You have encountered The Slothful King.]
[Description: Myrazar Solatse, even during his reign, was known for his indolence. When his kingdom faced ruin, he refused to act, believing everything would resolve itself. He willingly embraced the power of the Dark Magus King, thinking it would grant him eternal peace and uninterrupted rest. He has slumbered for centuries, only waking when someone dares to disturb his repose or looks down on him.]
[Quest: Defeat the Slothful King]
Objective: Defeat Myrazar Solatse and claim his blessing.
Reward: Blessing of Sloth.
Failure Condition: Losing to Myrazar will result in your soul being enslaved by the Demon King of Sloth, as Myrazar is a direct vessel of his power.
[Note: The Blessing of Sloth is a rare boon that enhances mana efficiency, grants immunity to fatigue, and slows aging. However, it also requires immense willpower to resist its lethargic side effects.]
Leon read the notification calmly, his expression unreadable. He glanced at the King, who remained seated, barely moving except for the eerie flicker of the ghostly flames in his eye sockets.
"I see," Leon said, his tone even. "You really do live up to your name."
Myrazar chuckled darkly, his voice carrying an ominous weight. "Careful with your words, mortal. I may be slothful, but I am not powerless. Step forward if you think you can break my eternal peace."
Leon unsheathed his weapon, stepping closer as the air around the throne grew colder and heavier. The battle against the Slothful King was about to begin.
Leon approached the throne, his calm demeanor unwavering as he now stood directly in front of the skeletal king. Myrazar's burning eyes flickered, and their ghastly white flames suddenly turned into deep, inky black voids. Without warning, the Slothful King lashed out with a punch, his bony fist cloaked in dark energy.
Leon reacted instantly, blinking away with his Aether Step, a magical movement spell that left an afterimage in his place. Myrazar's strike pulverized the throne where Leon had just stood, sending a shockwave through the chamber. The King rose to his feet, towering and imposing despite his skeletal frame.
"You will die for your arrogance," Myrazar hissed, his voice like nails scraping across stone. With a flick of his bony wrist, a sword materialized in his hand. The weapon glowed ominously, its surface etched with glowing runic inscriptions.
Leon's sharp eyes scanned the blade, immediately recognizing its significance. "A Legendary-class weapon," he murmured. "And with the engravings of the Runic Sword King... So, you're a class that combines the powers of a Magus and a Sword King. Interesting."
The Slothful King smirked—or what passed for a smirk in his skeletal form—as he raised the sword. "Interesting, mortal? You should tremble instead."
Leon, however, was unfazed. He reached behind him, drawing his Mythic Staff of Aether and Chaos. The staff shimmered with energy, its core pulsing like a miniature star. He planted it firmly on the ground, activating its latent power as an aura of destruction and creation intertwined around him.
"Let's not waste time then," Leon said, his voice cold. His magic flared, a combination of Destruction spells and Aether manipulation blending seamlessly into his movements. The chamber itself seemed to hum with energy as he began summoning his Legacy powers—the destructive precision of the Golden Metal Magus and the chaotic yet calculated might of the Blood Magus King.
The two combatants squared off, the tension thick enough to cut with a blade. Leon's confidence was met by the Slothful King's overwhelming aura of lethargic yet immense power.
Leon initiated the battle, raising his staff and weaving a spell from the Destruction Magic series. The room shook as blazing spheres of pure annihilation hurtled toward the Slothful King. Myrazar countered with a swing of his runic sword, carving glowing sigils into the air. Each rune erupted into shimmering barriers, absorbing the destructive blasts with ease.
"Not bad for a mortal," Myrazar remarked lazily, flicking his sword toward Leon. The runes shattered, their remnants transforming into a barrage of fiery projectiles. Leon deflected them with a wave of his staff, summoning a barrier of Golden Metal Magic, its metallic sheen glinting against the crimson glow of the chamber.
The King advanced, his skeletal form surprisingly swift. With a mighty leap, he brought his sword down in an arc, the blade trailing ghostly runes. Leon sidestepped and countered with Aether Blades, ethereal constructs of pure energy that shimmered into existence around him. The two exchanged blows, the clanging of metal and energy echoing like thunder. Sparks flew out as they continued to Clash, shaking the whole chamber.
