Chapter 501: Dante vs Strelitzia II
The tension was palpable. Dante and Strelitzia were face to face in another location, far from the city, with the field around them vibrating with the presence of their powers. The wounds were still fresh, and the shock from the previous punch had caused a visible crack in the ground where Dante had been thrown. But he was enjoying himself—that was clear. For him, the confrontation with Strelitzia was more than just a simple battle. It was a game. A challenge. And, most importantly, it was an opportunity to provoke the Angel Queen in the most fun way possible.
Strelitzia, on the other hand, wasn't sharing in the fun. Her aura glowed brightly, a golden light that made the air around her shimmer with divine power. She was an unstoppable force, and Dante knew that. But he was more than ready to face whatever she sent his way. He was enjoying the challenge too much.
"Do you really think you can challenge me like this, Dante?" Strelitzia's voice was deep, filled with authority and disdain. Her golden eyes locked onto him, and the divine energy around her seemed to intensify with each word. "I am the Queen of the Angels. Don't forget that."
Dante laughed, a mischievous smile spreading across his face. "Oh, I know that, my dear. It wouldn't be fun if you weren't so... powerful." He took a step closer, arms crossed, his eyes teasing her like a cat playing with its prey. "But you can't deny, Strelitzia, I provoked you in a way you didn't expect."
The tension escalated. Dante could feel her divine aura pressing against the air around him. But he didn't back down. He was there to play, and he wasn't going to let her intimidate him. "Are you going to punch me again? Or are you going to try something more creative this time?" he mocked, knowing she was holding back but also wanting to see how far she would go.
"You have no idea what you're talking about, Dante," she replied, her voice quieter now, but still carrying a force that could break any celestial being. "You provoked me enough. Now, you'll understand what happens when an angel loses control."
Dante smiled even more maliciously. "Then let's see what you've got, Queen of Angels."
With a sudden, violent motion, Strelitzia shot forward, a golden glow radiating from her hands. Dante didn't have time to completely dodge, but before she hit him, he twisted to the side, his body's power reducing the strength of the blow. Even so, he felt the impact and was pushed back, crashing heavily to the ground. The earth shook with the impact of his body, but he quickly got back up, laughing.
"Wow, you really don't play around," Dante said, with an ironic smile, touching his jaw with his fingertips. "I thought this would be more fun. How about a little more fight?"
"You have no idea what you're doing, Dante," Strelitzia said, now more serious. She was preparing for a stronger blow, and the pressure in the air increased as she began to concentrate more divine power. Her eyes glowed with the fury of battle, and she seemed on the verge of an explosion. "I'll make you learn what happens when you challenge celestial authority."
Dante let out a low laugh but didn't move. He knew what he was doing. He was just waiting for the right moment. He wanted her to feel like she was in control, but at the same time, he wanted to see her lose herself. He wanted to see how far she would go before she finally cracked. Strelitzia wasn't used to being challenged in this way, and he was loving it.
When she advanced again, Dante was ready. He dodged once more, but this time, he didn't pull away. Instead, he appeared at her side, almost like a shadow, and with a quick movement, he came in close to strike her with his own punch. The impact was brutal, but Strelitzia blocked it with her energy, absorbing the blow with a divine strength that almost made her glow even brighter.
"I know you can do better than that, Strelitzia," Dante taunted, laughing at how she struggled to keep him at bay. "What happened to the Queen of Angels? I thought you'd be harder to deal with."
Strelitzia, visibly irritated, closed her eyes for a moment, trying to control her rising anger. She knew Dante was playing with her, and that infuriated her even more. But at the same time, she couldn't deny the adrenaline the fight brought her. She was starting to tire, her powers were immense, but the energy he was demanding from her made her feel more vulnerable than she wanted to admit.
"You will pay for this," she said, her voice filled with fury, but also a strange sense of exhaustion. "This is not a game, Dante. I am the Queen of Angels. And I will show you what happens when you challenge the authority of the heavens."
Dante watched her with interest, noticing the frustration on her face, the exhaustion beginning to appear in her golden eyes. He wasn't intimidated, but he knew his provocation was starting to take effect. Strelitzia, no matter how powerful she was, was beginning to lose her composure.
She charged again, but this time, Dante didn't dodge. Instead, he grabbed her hands, skillfully avoiding her strike, and with a swift movement, he pulled her toward him, making her fall into his arms. The touch was so unexpected that Strelitzia froze for a moment, surprised by the proximity.
Dante smiled, seeing the destabilization in her eyes. "I think you're starting to tire, my dear Queen. But you didn't fool me. I know you've got much more in you. Let's see if you can still fight."
She tried to pull away, but Dante held her in his arms, and before she could react, he leaned forward and kissed her. The kiss was abrupt, a touch of pure provocation. He kissed her fiercely, but at the same time, playfully, stealing her lips in a way that made time seem to stand still for a moment.
Strelitzia was paralyzed, completely stunned. She couldn't believe what had just happened. Her body trembled slightly, not from anger, but from a feeling she couldn't identify. Her power, her control—everything seemed to drain away the moment Dante kissed her. She was no longer the Queen of Angels at that moment. She was simply a woman, dazed, feeling something she never imagined she would feel in front of Dante.
She pulled away abruptly, her eyes wide with surprise. "You... you dare..." she murmured, her voice weaker than before. The anger was still there, but now there was something else, something she didn't want to admit.
Dante laughed softly, his smile full of satisfaction. "I told you this would happen, didn't I?" He looked at her with a malicious gleam in his eyes. "I just wanted to see how far you'd go before you broke. Looks like I found your weak spot."
Strelitzia took a deep breath, trying to regain her composure, but she was visibly shaken. The power in her body still glowed, but now it was less intense, and she seemed more vulnerable than ever. The fight wasn't over, but she knew something had changed. Dante had touched her in a way she never imagined. And, somehow, he had won.
She looked at him, her eyes shining with a mix of fury and confusion. Dante's strike had destabilized her, but her anger was far from dissipating. She gritted her teeth and moved closer, ready to retaliate with the full force of her celestial power. "You won't get away with this, Dante. I'll still kill you." Her voice was filled with a direct threat, but there was also something else, something like an internal struggle she was trying to hide.
Dante, who had previously been enjoying the situation, let his smile fade. His expression became more serious, but the aura of amusement still lingered in his eyes. He didn't back down, and the words he spoke were laden with unbearable provocation: "Then kill me."
Without further warning, a wave of power began to emanate from Dante. The air around him distorted, the ground trembled, and the shadows seemed to bend before his growing presence. Strelitzia felt the weight of the change instantly. What had started as a simple game was about to turn into a completely different battle. Dante's power was no longer that of a mere man, and the atmosphere around them seemed to shift.
Dante's muscles began to expand, his body swelling in a monstrous way. The demonic aura that emanated from him grew exponentially, his dragon essence beginning to materialize. A red and golden glow enveloped his body, and a guttural roar reverberated through the field, as if the very mountains were trembling before his power. The sound was deafening, like a primordial storm about to devour everything around.
Strelitzia froze for a moment, her eyes widening as she realized the transformation happening before her. The man in front of her was no longer the one she had challenged. He was becoming something much more dangerous, much more threatening. The ground shook, and the pressure around her intensified overwhelmingly. The air was thick with heat, and Dante's strength now seemed impossibly great.
Dante, now fully transformed, stood before her as a massive red dragon, with scales that seemed to ignite the very light of the surroundings. His wings spread wide, enormous and majestic, slicing through the air with a roar that made Strelitzia take a step back. The dragon had an undeniable presence, as if it were the apocalypse incarnate, his colossal figure covering much of the sky.
He roared again, and the sound made the space around them contort, sending shockwaves across the field. The power radiating from him made Strelitzia tremble for the first time. She, the Queen of Angels, was facing something that truly made her question her own strength. Fear didn't dominate her, but the feeling of vulnerability was undeniable. Dante, now in his dragon form, was a being of pure destruction, and anything she did from that point on seemed minuscule compared to what he was now.
Dante stared at her with burning eyes, a look of pure enjoyment mixed with challenge. "Now, Strelitzia... do you really want to kill me?" His voice, deep and thunderous like a storm, reverberated through the entire area. He was enjoying this. It wasn't just a battle of power, but a true clash of wills. The provocation was even clearer, and Dante was relishing every second of it.
'Holy shit...' Strelitzia murmured.
