A lack of sleep was not why my body felt heavy

"Hah… In any case, is that all for now?"

"Yes… The rest is not something you have to decide immediately."

While I was still sitting, I stretched my limbs and relaxed. Not only had I not slept well, but I had been quite nervous when facing the servants. And now there was this.

Even though I had a feeling of accomplishment, I was quite tired.

"Here, Mr. Takumi."

"Thank you. Hah… Your tea always helps me to relax, Ms. Lyra."

I said as I sipped the tea that she placed on the table.

"…Mr. Takumi. Your face looks a little red?"

Ms. Lyra peered into my face as if just noticing something.

Usually my face didn't get red unless I felt embarrassed.

"Excuse me."

"Ms. Lyra?"

She reached out and touched my forehead.

"Mr. Takumi. Do you feel any different from usual? I think you might have a slight fever."

"Uh, I do feel a little sluggish from a lack of sleep. Though, now that you mention it…I might be a little hot?"

I knew that I hadn't gotten much sleep, and that I had been tense during the day.

In fact, I had eaten some recovery herbs after breakfast. But I suppose they weren't effective against drowsiness.

"Just as I thought… While I don't know what the reason is, you should get some rest. You might be sick."

"You are exaggerating. This is nothing."

Back in Japan, I had felt like this quite a lot while working. And yet I didn't take any time off to rest.

"But if you took the herbs and didn't feel better, then there's even more reason to rest! It is impossible for them to not have any effect at all!"

"You…think so?"

Ms. Lyra was now looking at me with suspicion.

"Mr. Keith. Please tell Mr. Sebastian and the others. I will stay here."

"Certainly!"

"You don't have to tell the others… Ah, he's already gone."

"Mr. Takumi, you must get into bed now! You must rest!"

"No, no, no. I'm perfectly fine. I just feel a little…heavy? But I can still move."

It's not like I was coughing or feeling really sick…

"See? I've worked through this kind of thing often. You have no need to worry."

I stood up from my chair and waved my arms around and even did some squats to show her that I was fine.

"It won't do! You work too hard, Mr. Takumi! And unlike us, there is no replacement for when you are down! If something were to happen, it would make Leo and Lady Claire very sad!"

"Uh…right… I'm sorry."

It was rare to see her lose her cool like this. She shouted at me angrily as she dragged me over to the bed.

At that point, I could no longer continue to show her that I was fine. I had no choice but to follow her quietly…

"Claire and Leo? Keith called you then."

"Lady Claire. Leo. Please be quiet. You are disturbing Mr. Takumi."

Just as I sat down in the bed, the two burst through the door.

They must have come as soon as they heard the news. I was grateful for the concern.

Though, I felt Ms. Lyra was taking this too far. It wasn't as if I was seriously ill…
