Chapter 1071
I thought of ways for the fenrirs to be liked
"Leo is so amazing!"
"Leo!"
"Will this town become its own country one day too?"
"Wuff-wuff? Wuff!"
After Walter finished his story, the children then crowded around Leo excitedly.
They now had a new appreciation for Silver Fenrirs, but Leo was a little confused as to why she was suddenly being praised.
Still, she eventually sat down and puffed out her chest proudly.
"Hah…that was unexpectedly tiring."
"Well, I have read many books, and was able to take things from them in order to put together a story on the spot."
So it was all made up after all…
"Still, it may be a good way to teach people about SIlver Fenrirs."
"Claire?"
"Lady Claire?"
She was muttering to herself while watching the children and Leo play.
Walter and I turned to her with curiosity.
"Well, as you know, our family holds them in very high regard. But even then, there are some people on these lands that feel differently."
"I…see…"
They were still monsters, and so it was not surprising that people still feared them. But even if they were not monsters, people had their own likes and dislikes. Similar to how some humans did not care for cats or dogs.
"Up until now, Silver Fenrirs and humans did not have anything to do with each other. All we had was the legend. But now that more people are meeting with Leo… I have wondered… Thankfully, people in Ractos are mostly receptive. But it would be different in other places."
"That's…true. Things went smoothly in Range village and Bleiyu village. But there is no guarantee it will always be like that."
"Yes. But if your suggestion about the stations is realized, then people will have more opportunities to see fenrirs. So spreading stories like Walter could be helpful."
These children would eventually grow as well. And so it should have a lasting effect.
"We cannot force people to change. But talking to them may change their mind a little. And then the fenrirs will be able to help people more."
"Though, most people would be scared to ride them at first…even Walter was."
As for me, I did wish that Walter's stories were a little more friendly… And not just about Leo or Silver Fenrirs. Stories that made the fenrirs seem more cute, for instance.
Still, it was not a bad idea.
"Bye-bye! See you again!"
"Let's play again, Liza!"
"Yes, lets!"
"We'll be back!"
"Wuff-wuff!"
Just as the sun was starting to set, we said our goodbyes to the children by the entrance.
Everyone had so much fun, and they were all smiles while waving their hands…
"Alright then. Let's go back to the west gate and return to the mansion from there."
"Yes. It should be dinner time when we arrive… No, maybe a little earlier than that?"
"Well, it will be a little faster when riding on fenrirs."
"Ugh…"
"It won't take long, Walter. Hang in there."
"Yes, it's so comfortable. You should enjoy the ride more."
We talked while making our way to the west gate.
And while Walter walked with heavy feet, Cheryl and Chita tried to encourage him…
