My Accidental Stepmom

In the meeting room at Leah's company there was presentation going on, Leah was sitting down going through the company's financial report and by the look on her face it's not good. Her subordinates were sitting at her right hand side, and her PA, Mick, was standing at her left hand side , there was a man standing in front of the screen, showing the company's bar chart.

I ask you for my company's financial report not a report of everyday grocery sale', Leah said with a biting tone.

Jason, the man doing the presentation, wiped his sweat with the back of his hand,as he looked at his boss, who wore a black suit with a pair of red stiletto, on her face was a pair of golden glasses, which made her look strict, and her long hair cascade her back like waves

When he saw his boss combined colour, him and his colleagues knew that the day isn't going to turn out well for them, and what they thought actually came to pass, because immediately Leah entered her office, she asked for an emergency meeting.

As he was explaining the report, Leah raised her hand , at that motion he stopped talking, then slowly she removed her glasses and dropped it on the table with a soft clink!.

That sound was enough for them to know that they are done for,

It's been six years since I last check this company's financial report, and in those six years while I was gone, you guys reduced it to this ', Leah said.

Boss,when you left the company was left in the hands of sir Ben, we noticed that he has been embezzling the company funds, we could not do anything about it, that's why the...…' Jason said.

So are you doubting me for my choice of people?', Leah interrupted as she looked at Jason with a cold gaze.

No,No, boss it is not what you think am just telling you', Jason tried to justify himself.

But Leah didn't calm down with explanation, she surveyed everyone in the room with her cold eyes while saying,

I built this company from the scratch,when I was just fifteen years old, and where were you guys, huh, out in the street trying to make ends meet, I was the one who made you what you are',

So as a payback, I expected that the company would still be in one piece, I am disappointed in you guys, you fear the strong , right?, why didn't you think about the fact that I will literally kill you if something goes wrong ', I want you to get out, fix this mess and if you don't, consider yourselves fired, I don't need incompetent fools in my office ', Leah said angryly.

Mick noticed that something was wrong with his boss temper and was about to calm her down when a ring tone was heard, frightened by his boss cold eyes, he took out the phone and realized that it belongs to his boss, glancing at the phone to see the caller , he cautiously said,

Boss , it's Mira '

Ignore it ', Leah replied.

The phone rang for sometime before it was automatically cancelled. Leah had called down a little bit, so she sent them out with a wave if her hand. With caution, they slowly stood up and left the office, thanking the person, who called their boss, because the phone call the were able to save themselves.

Leah stared into the wall for a long time, before she stood up to leave the room. She didn't talk, neither did he ask anything, because he knew that the incident that happened six years ago must have been tragic for her to hear, he started working for Leah four years ago and he knew that her actions speaks louder than words.

She entered her office, sat on her seat , swaying back and forth, she thought back to six years ago before it all started, she was choosing the theme of her office when she had enough money to buy an apartment that she used as her office,

Brother Lucian, I want my office theme to be soft, like pink or blue, no ,any of the colors that is suitable for girls', fifteen year old Leah said in her girlish teenage voice,as she sat beside Lucian, who was in his early twenties.

Are you even listening', Leah asked as she poured her cherry lips.

Lucian, who was going through important documents in his study, looked at her pouting lips and felt a sudden urge to ruin her, turning his face to the other side, to control his dark thoughts, he cleared his throat, then said,

Anything,you want, I can get it, even if it is all the colors in the world that only girls like, I would get it for you', Lucian said as he raised his hand to pat her head.

Smiling shyly, Leah hugged him tightly while saying,

Thank you, brother Lucian, I know that you would do anything for me',

With a doting smile on his face, he held the document in one hand and hugged Leah with the other. Leah probably doesn't know how intimate this hug is, Lucian thought as he brought her closer to him, and I like her ignorance,he thought evily.

She fell asleep on the couch in his study, waiting for him to finish his work , he put down the document that he was about to read and stoop up, he walked to the couch and crouched down to get a view of her beautiful face. He looked at her wide forehead, her eyebrows, her closed eyes that housed beautiful sea blue eyes, her long eyelashes, her nose, her chubby cheeks, her luscious cherry colored lips, as if he was trying to store it in his memory.

A strand of hair fell across her face, dissatisfied with the interruption, he tucked it behind her ear,as he did that, it revealed her reddish ear, feeling a sudden urge to bite.

Taking a deep breath, to control himself, please grow faster, I can't bear the thought of seeing you but not been able to touch you, I love you, my sunshine.

Silly girl', he whispered.

Boss, the phone call', Mick reminded.

Remembering the fact that Mira called, she nodded while saying,
