Chapter 50: Chapter 50: His Hands Were Indeed Warm
In front of Sakura Hall.
The car came to a gentle stop.
Reluctantly, Su Yu let go of her hand.
He wasn't naïve—he knew exactly why he had been able to hold Yukino Yukinoshita's hand in the first place.
It wasn't because of affection, but because of what happened earlier.
"See you tomorrow."
His voice was soft as he stepped out of the car.
Inside, Yukino didn't turn back.
Maybe she was shy—maybe she just didn't know what to say.
Su Yu watched the taillights fade into the distance, then casually took out his phone and sent a message.
Yukino's Reaction
A few seconds later, inside the moving car—
Yukino's phone vibrated.
She hesitated, then unlocked it.
One unread message from Su Yu.
"Holding your hand felt like watching snow in winter—wanting to hold onto it, only to find ice hidden beneath. I want to use the warmth of my palm to slowly melt the ice, so the snow will finally feel warm."
She stared at the screen for minutes.
Her face turned red again.
Closing her phone, she turned toward the window, her mind drifting back to the moment their hands touched.
His hand—
It really was warm.
Back at Home
Su Yu finished his dinner, then texted Yui.
She replied almost immediately, asking how things went.
Feeling amused, Su Yu initiated a video call.
After about a minute, she finally picked up.
On-screen, Yui appeared—
Wearing a soft pink pajama set, her hair slightly damp, looking cozy and adorable.
It was obvious—she must have been watching TV in the living room before answering.
"Su Yu-kun, have you eaten dinner?"
Her bright eyes blinked curiously at him.
He looks even more handsome through the camera…
"I just finished. I was about to start drawing, but suddenly… I thought of you."
His voice was gentle.
"Really?"
Yui smiled sweetly, eyes sparkling.
"Really. Now I just want tomorrow to come sooner."
His gaze was unwavering.
Yui's face turned a little pink, looking away for a second.
"I actually wanted to message you earlier, but I was afraid I'd bother you."
"You did the right thing. What if I had been kissing my girlfriend and suddenly got a message? I'd lose my girlfriend just like that."
Su Yu kept a straight face as he said it.
"I don't believe you!"
Yui pouted, puffing up her cheeks.
"Fine. Next time, I'll send you a picture of my girlfriend."
Su Yu teased.
"Unless you bring her to meet me in person, I won't believe it!"
Yui crossed her arms, acting defiant.
"Idiot."
"Big bad guy."
"Oh, right. I took a really cute photo of Yukino today—want to see?"
"Eh? A picture of Yukinon?"
Yui's eyes widened in surprise.
"Yeah. You'd definitely love it."
"Really?! Send it to me!"
She leaned forward eagerly.
"Trade me for one of your photos."
"I… I understand."
"Alright, then let's end the call here. Once you pick a good photo and send it to me, I'll send you Yukino's picture."
Su Yu smirked slightly.
Yui hesitated for a second, then whispered—
"Goodnight, Su Yu-kun."
The call ended.
Late Night Drawing
Su Yu put down his phone, then picked up his manga tools.
About ten minutes later—
A new notification popped up.
Yui had sent a photo.
It was her first day wearing the Sobu High uniform, taken in front of her house entrance.
Even now, her smile remained the same—bright and adorable.
After saving the picture, Su Yu sent Yukino's photo in return.
Then, he changed his phone wallpaper to Yui's picture, took a screenshot, and sent it to her.
The Next Morning
On the way to school—
Su Yu once again ran into Yukino.
But this time, he didn't say a word about "coincidence."
Instead, he just watched her quietly.
Yukino turned her head—
Seeing him, she immediately remembered last night's message.
Her face flushed pink.
"Good morning."
Su Yu greeted her.
"G-Good morning."
She quickly looked away and picked up her pace.
Su Yu walked beside her.
At the shoe lockers, they changed into their indoor shoes and started heading upstairs together.
Su Yu took a casual glance at Yukino's skirt.
She seemed to sense it immediately.
Turning sharply, she glared at him, cheeks red with embarrassment and annoyance.
Su Yu smirked slightly but quickly looked away.
Yukino's heart pounded slightly.
Her face felt hot, and her thoughts raced.
He wouldn't actually draw that scene into the manga, would he?
Would he?!
By the time they reached the second floor, they went their separate ways.
Before entering her classroom, Yukino pulled out her phone—
Typed a message—
Then hit send.
In Su Yu's Classroom
As he sat down, Su Yu found Yui already waiting for him.
She smiled brightly, placing a bento box on his desk.
Then, she took out her phone and looked up at him, eyes full of expectation.
"You want a picture of me?"
Su Yu guessed immediately.
Yui nodded shyly.
She had been so happy last night when she saw her photo as his wallpaper.
So now, she wanted a photo of him in return.
"I'll let you take one when we go on a date. But not in school."
Su Yu shook his head.
"But…"
Yui hesitated.
"I left everything about the anime to Yukino. So, unless something unexpected happens, we should be able to go on a date this weekend."
"Really?!"
Yui's face lit up with joy.
"Think about where you want to go in advance. I don't have much experience dating, so if it were up to me, I'd just pick an amusement park or a movie."
"Amusement park and movies sound fun too!"
Yui put her hands behind her back, bouncing slightly in excitement.
Su Yu's eyes casually glanced downward—
Her "proportions" were definitely not childish at all.
"Yui, you're a little unfair."
He smirked playfully.
Yui immediately turned red.
"S-Su Yu-kun! You're terrible!"
Su Yu chuckled, reaching out and holding her hand for a moment.
Yui didn't pull away—her face only got redder.
After a few seconds, he let go.
"Class is starting soon. Go back to your seat. We'll have lunch together at the Service Club later."
"Mmm!"
Yui nodded, her happiness overflowing as she returned to her seat.
A Warning from Yukino
After the first period, Su Yu noticed a message from Yukino.
"If you dare to draw what you saw yesterday into your manga, I'll make sure you get a one-week suspension."
He chuckled.
Looking out the window at the cherry blossom tree, he typed his reply.
Meanwhile, in Yukino's Class
She kept checking her phone.
She wasn't sure how he would respond—
Until suddenly—
His reply appeared on the screen.
