Chapter 47: Chapter 47: You Will Ruin This Work

After changing into his new outfit, Su Yu sat on the sofa, holding a printed script and the first few manga pages, patiently waiting for Yukino.

Soon, the bedroom door opened.

Su Yu turned his head—

And froze in place.

Yukino wasn't wearing a business suit—

She was wearing a full-on men's suit.

A single ponytail, paired with a well-fitted blazer—

She looked so sharp and elegant that if someone told him she was actually a handsome young man, he might've believed it.

"Your sister's idea of a joke?"

Su Yu blinked.

"I don't like business suits. This suits me better—Haruno knows that."

Yukino answered flatly.

"That's a real shame."

Su Yu sighed with an exaggeratedly disappointed expression.

Yukino ignored him and turned to leave.

"Wait."

Su Yu called out, stepping forward to hand her the manga.

Yukino hesitated for a moment but accepted it.

As she flipped through the pages—

She saw the transfer student from Tokyo, the mixed-grade classroom, and Renge's peculiar greeting.

The teacher who slept during lessons.

The silent and mysterious Komari-nii.

The tiny and adorable Komari, the energetic and boyish Natsumi.

Yukino read seriously, her expression calm and focused.

However, Su Yu had only drawn up to the point where they left the classroom.

It left her feeling deeply unsatisfied—

Like reading a novel only to find out the author didn't finish it.

She looked up and glared at him.

"I'll finish the first chapter in about a week."

Su Yu said with a grin.

Yukino paused, then gave her evaluation.

"It's not as strong as your previous two stories, but… the cover is intriguing. If a place like this truly existed, I'd want to visit it someday."

Su Yu smiled.

"A place like this… might actually exist."

"Where?"

"In my heart."

Yukino let out a small scoff, returned the manga to Su Yu, and walked out of his apartment.

Half an Hour Later—Flash Animation Studio

Su Yu and Yukino stepped out of the car.

Waiting by the entrance, Sata Kana—Haruno's secretary—immediately bowed respectfully as they approached.

"Young Master Su Yu, Second Lady Yukinoshita."

"Miss Sata, please lead the way."

Su Yu nodded.

Sata Kana gestured politely, then led them inside.

As they walked, she briefly introduced the company before adding—

"I was Haruno Yukinoshita's senior in university. She was the one who arranged this job for me."

Yukino nodded slightly, indicating she understood.

The three entered the elevator together.

Su Yu stood slightly behind Yukino, his position subtly symbolic.

Sata Kana noticed.

If Su Yu was Yukino's boyfriend, that meant he was essentially part of the Yukinoshita family.

It made sense for him to stand behind her.

She glanced at him—

Su Yu met her gaze with a helpless smile.

Sata Kana simply smiled knowingly and looked away.

The elevator soon arrived at the First Animation Studio's floor.

Sata Kana led them to a conference room and knocked on the door.

"Come in."

A familiar voice answered—

Haruno.

Sata Kana opened the door and stepped aside.

Yukino glanced at Su Yu.

Su Yu smirked and gestured for her to go first.

She rolled her eyes but entered without hesitation.

Su Yu followed closely behind her.

Inside the Conference Room

There were about a dozen people inside—

The room was filled with key figures from the studio.

Among them, Su Yu spotted Miyazumi Uta.

She was momentarily surprised upon seeing him but quickly looked away.

Su Yu gave her a friendly smile.

She sat beside three other young animators, who all looked slightly nervous—

Clearly, they were Third Studio's core members.

As for the rest of the attendees—

The seating arrangement made it very clear which studio each person belonged to.

At that moment—

A middle-aged man in a business suit stood up.

Su Yu immediately noticed something unusual—

He looked too formal.

With his stern expression and glasses, he looked less like an animator and more like a corporate executive.

"You must be the creator of Madoka Magica?"

The man asked, his voice steady and authoritative.

Sata Kana introduced him.

"This is Shinnohara Gento, the director of First Animation Studio."

Su Yu extended his hand politely.

"It's an honor. I'm Su Yu, the creator of Madoka Magica."

Shinnohara hesitated briefly, but ultimately shook Su Yu's hand with professionalism.

"I am confident I can make Madoka Magica a top-tier anime."

"Your investment is more than sufficient. If you entrust me with the project, I will deliver an impeccably crafted work."

Shinnohara spoke with conviction, his gaze firm.

Su Yu glanced at Miyazumi Uta.

She was lowering her head, seemingly deep in thought.

"I have no doubt about your abilities."

Su Yu began.

"Then why did you refuse?"

Shinnohara frowned slightly.

"Because this anime was created for someone special."

"I want to be involved in its production."

"More importantly, I want it to be completed by young animators who still have dreams."

His voice wasn't loud—

But it rang clearly through the entire conference room.

Haruno sat back, smirking in amusement.

Shinnohara looked slightly stunned.

Yukino's expression turned complicated.

Miyazumi Uta snapped her head up, staring at Su Yu in disbelief.

For a brief moment—

The entire room fell silent.

Several seconds passed before Shinnohara finally spoke.

"You will ruin this work."

"If this anime succeeds," Su Yu replied, meeting his gaze without hesitation, "would you be willing to serve as my assistant director for my next project?"

Shinnohara paused.

After a moment of careful thought, he replied—

"If your Madoka Magica succeeds, I will accept that offer."

"However—"

"If your final product fails, I am willing to take over and remake it—on the condition that you continue funding it."

Su Yu bowed slightly.

"Thank you."

Shinnohara exhaled, then looked directly at Su Yu.

"I am a director who needs complete creative control."

"I do not allow any interference, even from the original creator."

"I hope that young talents can create miracles, but I have also seen too many who fail to produce results because they only cling to their dreams."

"If you want my recognition, let your work speak for itself."

His voice grew stronger, carrying a weight of experience.

Su Yu smiled.

With that, Shinnohara left the room.

The First Studio members glanced at Haruno.

"You can go now."

Haruno waved her hand dismissively.

One by one, they bowed respectfully and exited.
