Chapter 1002: Kill

Li Huowang’s body shattered. His limbs, organs, and brain scattered like leaves on a pond’s surface.

All of this happened just because Fu Shengtian looked at him.

Am I dying? The thought flickered through Li Huowang’s mind as his consciousness began to fade.

Li Huowang did not fear death. He refused to die because he refused to give up.

“No, I can’t die! If I die, who will revive Suisui? I cannot die!”

Li Huowang roared, and his dead body stirred. Under the strange effect of the black water, Li Huowang returned to life as various odd organs grew and hung from his body.

Just then, a feathery sleeve brushed past Li Huowang’s body and took away his Death. Li Huowang could no longer die now.

Though unkillable, he was still helpless. He needed to free himself. A plan quickly formed in his mind.

Recalling the powers and techniques of his allies, he devised a solution.

Li Huowang now resembled an eyeball with three limbs resembling fractured baby limbs. He dragged himself and swiftly reached the Five Dhyani Buddhas.

They were fighting against Fu Shengtian right now. Those noticed by Fu Shengtian would have their bodies scattered. However, not all Simings were affected by it—those who didn’t have a physical body remained unscathed.

The burning Sacrificial God bought Li Huowang some time. Li Huowang shouted at the Five Dhyani Buddhas, “Five Dhyani Buddhas! Use your powers to help me!”

Li Huowang had barely shouted when the Five Dhyani Buddhas simultaneously began to chant. An eerie, overlapping voice resonated through the black waters.

“Jie Di Jie Di Ban Luo… Di… Ban Luo Sheng Jie Di, Pu Ti Sheng Sha He, Yi Ban Nuo Po Luo Mi Duo Gu…”

Li Huowang heard the voices and somehow caught the scent of incense in the temple. The fragments of his body knitted together, with flesh sprouting and stitching into place.

He had a new body once the process was complete, but it was hideous, like the Flesh Buddha of the Righteous Monastery.

There was no time to fix it. There was no time to dwell on appearances. Shoving his hands into his own brain, Li Huowang tore out the memory of Fu Shengtian.

The invisible water returned to the iridescent black water, and Li Huowang could no longer see the things in the distance. He sighed in relief.

The biggest issue had been temporarily fixed, but the situation wasn’t over yet.

The Simings were still fighting viciously. Li Huowang dragged his grotesque body and charged into the fray.

Bullets flew around him as he swung his blade. With a clear, dinging sound, he managed to deflect the bullets with his blade.

He stabbed his blade into one of the men, and blood sprayed onto his face. His bloodlust intensified as the battle continued. Each kill seemed to invigorate him, his stamina unyielding.

He stabbed another person in the face before dragging the blade downwards and spilling the guts of his enemy.

He was ready to kill another person when he accidentally tripped on someone. He regained his footing and looked down to find Zhao Lei!

As he prepared himself to kill another person, he unexpectedly stumbled over someone. He regained his footing and glanced down to see Zhao Lei.

Zhao Lei’s injuries were severe, leaving him on the brink of death. Despite this, he managed to cling onto Li Huowang with his right hand, which had two severed fingers.

“Li Huowang… I tricked you… You did not steal my magnet… It’s still with me… I was scared that they coveted it…”

“Don’t die here! Die in the Baiyu Capital, or your Heavenly Dao will fall in their hands!” Li Huowang said, doing his best to drag Zhao Lei away from the combat zone.

Looking around, he saw Yang Na in the distance. “Heavenly Mater, come here! Bring the Death away from his body!”

“I have… my own plans… But… no one listens to me… You are all… using me…”

Zhao Lei’s eyes began rolling upward, his pupils dilating.

“Hehe… Do you think… that I lost? That might… not be the case… I just… don’t want to listen to you…”

Zhao Lei’s gaze was fixed on the sky as he uttered his final words. In his last moments, he vomited a lot of blood onto LI Huowang’s chest. Then, he went stiff.

Li Huowang threw Zhao Lei’s corpse to the side before charging back to the battlefield.

He looked at the unending number of enemies and understood they could not fight like this anymore. The longer the battle dragged on, the more people would die. They had to retreat.

He turned to Zhao Shuangdian and shouted, “Retreat! Go back to the Baiyu Capital! I will stop them!”

Just as the words had left Li Huowang’s lips, a bat slammed into his skull. The crack reverberated in his ears.

In a daze, he saw someone winding up to swing the bat again. If they hit him again, Li Huowang was sure that his head would break open.

The enemy swung the bat, but Li Huowang quickly ducked it and avoided it. Before they could swing again, Li Huowang stabbed his blade into their chest.

Just then, Li Huowang felt a burning pain in his abdomen. He looked down and saw blood seeping out from his left side. He had been shot.

He held his wound and turned around to find three muzzles aimed at him.

Li Huowang’s rational thinking snapped as he charged at the guns.

Gunshots erupted. Li Hoowang reached behind himself and swung his bronze coin sword, turning it into a red whip that cut down the bullets, guns, and enemies in one go.
