The orc woman and I were looking for Valgrus for an hour but we couldn't find her whereabouts and as expected the woman started to get agitated...

The best thing in this kind of situation is to stay calm so I tried to start a conversation with her.

"We didn't introduce ourselves properly, but my name is Gino Britzs and yours is Miss?" I asked.

"Merra, my name is Merra" she murmured as we walked.

"Well Miss Merra, it's not very common to see orcs outside of Bihereil" I said.

We climbed down the cliff using a stone pillar until we reached the bottom, and just as we got down, I found an unlit torch on the ground next to the wall that was glowing dimly, unlike the cavern floor which was just gravel, this place was made of solid rock.

"It was right here where it fell..." Merra muttered as she looked at the torch.

A little while later she went to look for a hole in the ground.

"What are you looking for?" I asked.

"a trrap, we split up because a trrap wass activated and a bunch of rrocks cut off our path" she said

"are you sure it was a trap? I think the ground collapsed naturally, it's possible that I got trapped under these rocks" I said

Merra looked at me but didn't say anything, maybe she agreed with what I had said.

I used earth magic to open a hole in the ground below us, once I removed the gravel, the hole descended to a small tunnel that led to the wall with glowing moss.

"A second caverrn! I can't believe it! This dungeon was alrready clearred yearrs ago! To think there's a second parrt that no one has ever explorred!!" Merra said

We continued searching the cavern and took down more Demon Worms and giant Bats as we searched, a simple long sword of light or a stone bullet was enough to finish off the bats and ghouls.

Eventually one of Merra's calls was answered.

"I'm here..." said a weak and hoarse voice.

Merra rushed to get closer as fast as she could, there were several large stones arranged in a barricade that blocked a small corner of the cavern, behind the empty barricade lay a huge demon man.

Despite looking weak from malnutrition, he still looked very imposing.

"Thanks a lot kid, after I fell in here I found myself surrounded by a horde of ghouls, killing them was easy but I ran into the leader..." Valgrus hissed at the end in anger

"How did you manage to escape?" I asked.

"I didn't" he replied

Valgrus started eating the dried meat Merra gave him and then reached back and lifted a decapitated head by the hair.

"The vampire made the mistake of leaving me for last, I managed to get behind him while he tried to go for Merra, I grabbed him by the shoulders with one hand and ripped his head off with the other, despite having killed the boss down here, I had no idea how to get out of the cavern, I spent a whole day wandering in the dark and defending myself from the ghouls, in the end I got too tired to go on, so I made this barricade and rested" the story.

Shit, imagining that is terrifying, this guy's brute strength could be on the same level as Ruigerd's.

"The hole that Caiset went through is filled with stones and gravel, we know the way back, let's take you back home" Merra said.

Merra grabbed him by the shoulder and helped him walk while I used my magic to knock down the stones of the barricade.

"Wow, you have some impressive magic, I haven't even heard a spell" Valgrus commented

"You could say that's my specialty, but my mana pool isn't very big..." I commented.

"I can appreciate the talent you have, you're a much better mage than me" he said

"You're a mage?" I asked in shock.

"Yeah, everyone is shocked when they hear that, you're looking at the B rank mage of the Iron Guardians" he said

"I'm an intermediate level fire mage, but I also know some beginner level water and earth spells" Merra said proudly "And you?" she asked at the end.

"Me? Ha, I dabble a bit here and there in all the schools" I muttered

"Don't be so humble, I couldn't even tell you what spell you used to move those stones before, you must be an advanced rank or saint at least" he commented

"Haha... yeah, but my specialty is the sword" I said.

I healed Valgrus and we left the cave.

"Orsted? I thought you wouldn't be here anymore," I muttered.

"It turned out perfectly, I was able to rescue Valgrus and we managed to get to Biegoya without any setbacks" i explained.

"Very well" he said, getting up from his seat.

"Rudeus is currently gaining the trust of Princess Ariel, in two years it will be time for her to become queen, you will also have to gain her trust eventually but that will be later." he Said

"Okay, I understand," I said, nodding.

Orsted nodded as well and stood beside me, leaned down a little and destroyed the magic circle with his hands.

"This was only used once, it's no longer used" he said

So I followed him to the entrance of the cave and looked at him.

"Orsted, I want to ask you a question, it's about our alliance" I said.

"What's happening now?" He asked.

"It's about my wives, they want to know why I'm allied with you, should I tell them?" I asked.

"I don't see why not, do what you want" he said in an indifferent tone

"Okay, see you later then," I said.

Orsted nodded and began to walk through the snow until he got lost in the forest, so I walked back home.
