Multiverse's Holy Right

Chapter 140: [140] Is the Visitor Luo Hao?!

On a beach in Kyushu, Japan, Roy stood clad in the robes of a cardinal, gazing at the azure sea and sky. The secluded shore lay beneath a cliff, devoid of human presence, with only a few seagulls soaring overhead, their cries soft in the air.

On either side of Roy stood two delicate young Caucasian beauties, neither appearing older than fourteen. Though their tender bodies still bore the marks of youth, the aura they exuded held no trace of immaturity—only a subtle hint of sophistication.

One exuded an aloofness tinged with arrogance, while the other remained expressionless in her cold detachment—these were Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom, and Asherah, the Serpent Goddess who had fallen into the status of a Divine Ancestor.

Though Roy had usurped Asherah's knowledge concerning angels and demons, what he gained left him somewhat disappointed. In this world, deities evolved alongside the shifts in human mythology. Unless he summoned Ancelot in her original form as the Mesopotamian Earth Mother Goddess or as Beelzebub, the Gluttonous Demon King of Hell (880), the knowledge he could extract from her was limited.

However, the current Asherah had already degenerated into a Divine Ancestor, making it impossible to summon her original divine form.

Unlike the Throne of Heroes in the Type-Moon world, which recorded every aspect of a Heroic Spirit from birth to death—allowing summoning of different phases of their existence, where an evil spirit might have moments of goodness and vice versa—the information within the Throne remained fixed.

The world of Campione, however, was different. Here, the elements of gods within the "Undying Realm" changed alongside human myths. Thus, summoning a Heretic God would only manifest their current state, never their past or future.

Though Roy hadn't acquired much satisfying knowledge from Asherah, he found immense pleasure in her. Snakes do not chew their prey; they swallow it whole. The sensation of that suction was indescribably pleasurable, enough to send shivers down a man's spine.

Especially since Asherah's human form was that of an eleven- or twelve-year-old girl—her slender, porcelain-smooth body, her youthful yet bewitching allure, her petite frame that could be held with one hand, and the tight embrace of her delicate form around him—all made Roy feel as though he had ascended to heaven.

For Roy, whose experience was still limited, this was his first time engaging in such profound communion with a loli.

As Roy alternated his gaze between Athena and Asherah, his mind wandering into unspeakable fantasies, the surrounding sounds suddenly fell into silence.

The seabirds overhead had long since flown away, as if sensing impending disaster. The roar of the waves crashing against the shore softened, subdued by the arrival of a presence so formidable that even the sea dared not rage.

"Immortal grasps six bamboo sticks, facing the gamble at Mount Tai's edge; Xiang E strums the zither, while the Qin maiden plays the sheng and yu."

"..."

"Han Zhong and Wang Qiao, beckoned me to the heavenly path, Ten thousand miles too short a stride, soaring lightly beyond the empyrean."

"..."

"Behold not the ancient Xuanyuan,"

"Ascending as a dragon from Dinghu Lake,"

"Lingering beneath the ninefold heavens,"

"Everlasting in mutual yearning."

As the strains of song drifted forth, the tranquil sea once again stirred with waves. Amid the rolling tides, a bud formed of seawater blossomed upon the ocean's surface, and within that blooming marine flower stood a graceful and beautiful maiden.

She wore an elegant white hanfu, her jade-like countenance poised and proper, her slender figure as delicate as a mimosa. Her lustrous black hair, rivaling silk, was coiled atop her head. Appearing around seventeen or eighteen years old, she possessed both the purity of a maiden and the refined elegance of a handsome youth.

Though her song was gentle, it carried the roar of a lion, the cry of a tiger in the forest—like a king of beasts surveying its domain.

"Are you Luo Hao, the sect leader?"

Roy stood with one hand in his pocket, tilting his head slightly as he spoke in ancient Chinese, his tone neither submissive nor overbearing.

"Indeed!"

The maiden addressed as 'Sect Leader' walked step by step across the sea's surface, each footfall causing a floral bloom of seawater to unfurl beneath her—truly, lotus steps upon the waves.

Before long, Luo Hao crossed the ocean and stood upon the shore, facing Roy from a distance.

She studied him up and down before clapping her hands and laughing heartily.

"...I heard from Lu Yinghua that a foreigner had become my peer, slaying the cunning wolf of Eastern Europe and humbling the prince of England. Seeing you today, you truly live up to your reputation—excellent, excellent! If it is you, then you are indeed worthy of sharing wine and conversation with this sect leader!"

"...Aside from you and me, how many in this world can truly be called heroes?"

Luo Hao's tone was bold and unrestrained, utterly unlike that of a woman. No wonder she had ruled the Five Great Mountains Sect and reigned as a Campione since the Qianlong era.

Rather than praising Roy, she seemed more enamored with herself, her words brimming with self-admiration—as if Roy's world-shaking deeds had merely earned him the bare minimum qualification to speak with her as an equal.

Even though Luo Hao's achievements paled in comparison to Roy's—even though she had never truly slain Marquis Voban, her rival of many years—Roy understood this was simply the nature of the Five Great Mountains Sect's leader. She was the very embodiment of absolute self-absorption...

Such boastful, domineering arrogance would have been nauseating in anyone else, yet on Luo Hao, it seemed perfectly fitting.

If forced to compare her to someone, Roy would undoubtedly name her the "Peerless of the East."

"I have read the letter you sent to Mount Lu. Its contents piqued my curiosity, stirring my tranquil heart and prompting me to visit this far eastern island nation to meet you!"

Luo Hao spoke as if it mattered not whether Roy listened at all. In her world, beyond herself, no one else truly existed.

To be honest, Roy disliked this kind of personality—it was too self-righteous, too capriciously arrogant. He knew that even if you were stronger than Luo Hao, beat her to the point of disarray, and left her utterly defenseless, this woman wouldn't change in the slightest. Forget making her bow her head—getting her to even acknowledge your existence was already the limit.

A troublesome woman indeed. If possible, Roy truly didn't want to see her.

"Hmm? So this girl is the 'Heretic Serpent' you mentioned in your letter—the Divine Ancestor, Asherah? Good, good. I shall thank you for bringing her here. Now, hand her over to me!"

Luo Hao spoke without waiting for Roy's consent, directly extending her jade-like hand to seize Asherah.

"Must the Sect Master be so impatient? Why not hear me out first?"

If Roy hadn't already understood Luo Hao's temperament, her actions would have long since provoked his displeasure—he might have even resorted to violence by now. But knowing this was simply Luo Hao's nature, that she wasn't deliberately targeting him, Roy managed to keep his composure.

He raised his own hand, blocking Luo Hao's grasp. However, Luo Hao, hailed as the Martial Arts Alliance Leader, possessed skills that stood at the pinnacle of this world. When Roy intercepted her, her wrist twisted subtly, her jade fingers trembling as she unleashed 128 layers of hidden force—each variation designed to pull Asherah to her side.

Had this been the Roy of the past, Luo Hao's ever-shifting martial arts would have left him flustered. But after years of training under Scáthach, such tricks no longer fazed him. His left hand remained motionless, like a pillar of heaven standing firm in the sea. No matter how many variations Luo Hao employed, she could not surpass that single hand.

"Oh?"

The Sect Master let out a soft exclamation, withdrawing her hand as she regarded Roy with slight surprise. Clearly, she hadn't expected him to possess such profound martial skill.
