Multiverse's Holy Right

Chapter 120: [120] The Otherworldly Demon Realm

Fairy's Corridor was the very reason Aisha was considered the most troublesome Campione—because it operated beyond her control. When this Authority ran wild, it would open a door leading to the past.

If ordinary people were sucked through this door into the past, they would either die in that era or live out insignificant lives, never returning. But for Campiones, returning to the past meant little—they could rely on their own power to find the way back to reality. The problem lay in the uncertain duration and, most critically, the ratio of time flow between eras.

For instance, in the outside world, Aisha was known as a Campione over 150 years old. However, from casual conversations between Roy and Aisha, it was revealed that she had only lived for a little over fifty years.

Since Aisha spent most of her time traveling through ancient eras, it was possible that while she experienced a single year in the past, three years might have passed in the modern era upon her return. This discrepancy led to the miscalculation of her age.

For Roy, the idea of venturing into the past for an adventure didn't bother him—in fact, he was eager for such a novel experience. However, the issue of time dilation made him wary. If he returned from the past only to find that several years had passed in the modern world, with the Last King already awakened, all his efforts would be for nothing—and worse, his life would be in danger.

Thinking this, Roy quickly turned to Annie and asked, "…Annie, I recall you have good relations with the fairies of the Netherworld, right? Is there any way to stop Lady Aisha's Authority?"

Roy didn't bother asking Athena. Though she was the Goddess of Wisdom, her domain had nothing to do with "travel" or "time."

Fairy's Corridor was an Authority Aisha had usurped from Niamh, the Queen of Tír na nÓg in Celtic mythology. On the surface, this Authority appeared incredibly powerful—even capable of sending one back to ancient times—but in essence, it was nothing more than a "fairy's prank."

Neither Heretic Gods nor Campiones possessed enough divine power or magical energy on their own to alter the past or resist the force of historical correction. The sheer amount of mana required to truly rewrite history was beyond the capabilities of ordinary Heretic Gods and Campiones—not even the Last King could achieve it.

The singularity of the past was nearly impossible to break.

In other words, whether a Heretic God or a Campione was dragged into this "cave," they could do nothing but treat it as a peculiar journey—one that carried life-threatening risks. For ordinary humans, it was a desperate gamble with slim odds of survival. Since nothing could be changed, traveling to the past was no different from being the victim of a prank.

"I do have good relations with the fairies of the Netherworld," Annie admitted with a helpless smile, spreading her hands. "But fairies are nothing more than mischievous children who never grow up. Do you really think creatures who love pranks would ever have a change of heart? Unless the world itself is in grave danger, don't expect any help from them. If they knew you were about to be tricked, they'd probably just clap their hands and dance in delight!"

By now, an almost irresistible force of attraction was emanating from Aisha's body. This was Fairy's Corridor running out of control, drawing upon all of her magical energy to activate. Because it wasn't an offensive Authority—incapable of causing direct harm—it was all the more impossible to resist.

Roy possessed twice the magical energy of an average Campione, yet even he found it difficult to withstand this pull. A fairy's prank was their highest arcane art, a phenomenon bordering on a fundamental law of the world itself.

Even the King of Gods from myth could fall victim to a fairy's trickery.

"If you knew your authority was running wild, why come to me?! Wouldn't it be better to quietly find some deserted place and wait for your next journey?"

While the suction force was still weak, the Campiones and Heretic Gods present could resist it. Alice had already disappeared—only her astral body had appeared here, not her true form, so she wouldn't be captured by this authority.

Athena's expression remained calm. As the Goddess of Wisdom, she was familiar with the pranks of fairies and knew this authority wasn't particularly terrifying. With her power, she faced no danger—she only needed to wait quietly for an opportunity to return to her own era.

Faced with Roy's questioning, Aisha froze for a moment before wailing, "...Master, you said you could stop the runaway authority! That's why I came to you!"

"But the authority I was talking about was Charm or Curse, not Fairy Corridor... Still, why did yours go out of control so quickly?"

Roy was somewhat exasperated. Though he had no fear of fairy pranks, this was undoubtedly troublesome.

No wonder so many people avoided Aisha—she was a walking disaster.

"Wah... I must have misunderstood... But it really is strange. Normally, after this authority goes out of control, it stays stable for a long time. Yet this time, it's forcing me into another journey after just a few days."

"...This time, I'm completely unprepared—I don't even have enough travel funds!"

Aisha cried out in despair.

Roy ignored her complaints. By now, he had calmed down and simply asked Aisha about the time ratio issue, though he didn't expect her to have a solution.

Surprisingly, she actually did.

"In the past, I struggled with the time ratio problem but never found a solution. That is, until I was forced to usurp the authority Grand Luck from Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva in China. After gaining this authority that grants me a blessing of luck, I was shocked to discover that Fairy Corridor's time ratio between the past and present reversed. Even if I spent a long time in the past, only a few days would pass in the present."

Aisha explained this to Roy at a leisurely pace, clearly accustomed to sudden mishaps.

"If you know what to do, then use that authority now! I don't want to come back from the past only to find years have passed!"

Roy shouted in frustration.

"Mmm... Master, you're being a bit too harsh... Alright, alright, stop glaring at me! I know what to do! 'When good karma is unripe, even the virtuous suffer misfortune; when good karma ripens, fortune arrives. The virtuous shall receive their due, the wicked theirs—until this journey ends, grant me thy protection!'"

Aisha loudly recited the famous mantra of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, invoking a blessing of luck for her journey.

Seeing Aisha activate her authority, Roy felt relieved. Alice had not been affected by this power, and with her intelligence, she would naturally inform Erica and Liliana to ease their worries while also warning other magicians to be cautious of the cave formed by this authority.

Roy glanced at Athena beside him, whose expression remained extraordinarily calm. He grasped the petite, fair hand of the goddess and whispered, "...Let's not get separated, Athena."

The wise goddess merely nodded slightly, her eyes signaling Roy not to worry—this was merely a fairy's prank.

But at that moment, Roy's expression suddenly changed.

He realized that the mysterious space residing in his right hand—the entity Aiwass had named the "Ship"—had once again stirred. It had taken control of the passage's direction, causing Roy and everyone else's destination to deviate.

Upon realizing this, Roy swiftly transferred the Gorgon Stone from his body to Athena. He feared that under the influence of his right hand, he and Athena might not appear in the same era or location. In her loli state, Athena alone would be in great danger. But as long as she had the Gorgon Stone to restore her trinity goddess form, there would be nothing to fear.

Before Roy could explain under Athena's puzzled gaze, his body was suddenly sucked into a gravitational pull from a cave that appeared behind him, plunging into a bizarre and surreal scene.

...

This was a world of death, where shadows stretched endlessly in all directions, and sunlight never pierced through—a demonic realm of another world!
