Chapter 257: Ultra Divine Water, Senzu Beans, and the Flying Nimbus

"So this is our real first meeting, huh?"
"Nice to meet you, Kami! Mr. Popo!"
About half an hour later, one of Dragorr's clones finally arrived at The Lookout, smiling as he raised a hand in greeting toward Kami and Mr. Popo.
Kami and Popo looked at the Dragorr standing before them… then glanced at the other Dragorr still flying in a hovercar thousands of kilometers away, heading toward West City. Their expressions turned a little wary.
"Is this… a clone of yours? Why does it feel exactly like the real you? What kind of ability is this?" Kami asked, puzzled.
"And another thing—you seem to know who we are. But I don't recall us ever meeting before," Mr. Popo added.
"Did… the god behind you tell you about us?"
This boy… everything about him gave off a strange, almost divine feeling.
If Kami hadn't already sensed that Dragorr wasn't malicious—and had also reviewed his past actions to get a rough understanding of his character—he probably would've taken a much more defensive stance. He might've even acted preemptively to eliminate a potential threat.
After all, protecting Earth was part of his job as its guardian.
"God, huh? You could say that. Let's just say I've got a little foresight… and there are a few things I'd like to discuss with you," Dragorr replied with a noncommittal shrug.
"Oh?" Now Kami and Mr. Popo were genuinely intrigued.
"Well, here's the deal—I saw a future where King Piccolo returns a few years from now…"
Dragorr gave them a quick rundown of what he'd seen, casually revealing the eventual reappearance of Piccolo—and directly exposing the connection between Kami and Piccolo himself.
"So… what's your goal?" Kami's tone grew serious.
"When the time's right, I want to help train Goku, Krillin, and the others—to prepare them for what's coming."
"I've seen even further into the future. Earth's going to face disaster after disaster, each one worse than the last. And Goku and the rest? They'll become the heroes who stand up to save the world."
"So let's start preparing them early. Help them grow faster so they'll be ready when it counts."
In simpler terms: he was here to recruit some helpers to raise Goku and the gang.
Master Roshi alone wasn't nearly enough. Kami had to get involved… and eventually, Dragorr would even bring in King Kai and the others.
"But why not train them yourself?" Kami asked, visibly confused. "From what I can tell, you're pretty strong. Honestly, I'm not even sure I could beat you."
"I'm not the type to jump into every little crisis," Dragorr said with a grin. "Plus, I've got my own training and research to do. I don't have time to be a teacher."
"And come on, Kami, you seem like you've got plenty of free time. Besides, isn't protecting Earth literally your job? I figured you wouldn't say no."
He smiled cheerfully as he spoke.
Like hell he was going to volunteer himself to do all the grunt work.
He was the kind of guy who passed the responsibility on to others—not the other way around.
Kami: "..."
Mr. Popo: "..."
Damn it… that kind of made sense—but it still felt wrong!
Now they understood. This kid just didn't want to do the work himself.
"Fine," Kami finally relented with a sigh. "When the time is right, I'll step in and help guide them. But not now. They're just getting started in martial arts. Right now, Master Roshi is enough."
Just like Dragorr said, Earth's safety was Kami's responsibility. And Dragorr's obvious future-seeing was no joke—Kami couldn't ignore it.
If what Dragorr said was true, it'd be too late to fix things after disaster struck.
Of course, that didn't mean Kami fully believed him yet.
He'd wait and see if the prophecy actually came true. Then he'd decide whether to truly trust Dragorr.
"Is there anything else?" Kami asked.
"Actually, yeah. Mind giving me some Ultra Divine Water?" Dragorr asked casually.
"What do you want that for? With your power, I doubt it'll help you much," Kami replied, clearly suspicious.
"I just want to study it," Dragorr explained. "I don't need it for myself—but people around me might benefit from it."
"That stuff's not to be messed with," Kami warned. "You do know the risks, right? The death rate is insanely high. You need a crazy mix of luck, potential, and sheer willpower just to survive it—let alone gain strength from it."
"It's really not something anyone should take lightly."
"Don't worry, I won't," Dragorr said confidently, nodding.
"I just want to break it down and study how it works. If I can understand the principles behind it, maybe I can figure out a way to remove the side effects."
"If I pull that off, then maybe I'd consider using it to help others grow stronger."
"If not… well, I've got other, safer methods to do that anyway."
Dragorr shrugged again, cool and relaxed as always.
He was nothing if not careful. No way he'd ever experiment on his own friends or family.
Because if someone did die… well, he'd have to go revive them—and that would just be a pain in the ass.
"I see. Fair enough. Mr. Popo, could you fetch some for Mr. Dragorr?" Kami turned to Popo and gave the order.
"Right away!"
Mr. Popo quickly left and returned shortly after carrying a gourd.
"There's 1000 milliliters in here. Should be enough for your research."He handed it over to Dragorr, who accepted it with a nod of thanks.
Honestly, Popo was curious too—he wanted to see if Dragorr could really figure something out. If he did, it could be a huge benefit for Earth.
"Thanks!"
Dragorr flipped his hand and stored the gourd inside his spatial bracelet, then nodded to both Kami and Popo. "Alright, I'll take my leave for now. If anything comes up, I'll swing by again."
As he said that, Dragorr took out two communication bracelets and handed them to Kami and Popo.
"Oh, and if either of you ever need to reach me, you can use these to contact me. The built-in AI—Red Queen—can show you how to use them."
With that, Dragorr left, flying downward until he reached the top of Korin Tower—where Korin the cat sage lived.
Conveniently, Korin was already out on the sundeck. Dragorr greeted him with a wave and got straight to the point.
"Hey there, Korin!"
"I'd like to trade you some special fish meat in exchange for a supply of Senzu Beans. Also, if possible, I'd like to get the method for growing them too. What do you think?"
As he spoke, Dragorr handed over a spatial bracelet. Inside it was a massive freezer filled with all kinds of top-grade fish from the Pirate World and KonoSuba World—high-quality meat, even including some Sea Kings. The kind of stuff that melts in your mouth.
"Oh?" Korin fiddled with the bracelet for a moment, figuring out how to use it based on Dragorr's instructions. Then he pulled out a sample of the fish, took a bite—and his eyes lit up.
"This is great! Meow!" he purred in delight. "With fish like this—plus the bracelet itself—I'd say that's more than enough to trade for a batch of my standard Senzu Bean stock!"
"As for the growing method, I don't mind sharing that either, but I'll warn you—these beans are tricky to grow. They need very specific conditions and have to be nurtured with ki. Try it if you want, but be prepared for a challenge, meow!"
With that, Korin turned and headed inside, returning with two large jars filled to the brim with Senzu Beans. Dragorr estimated there were easily twenty to thirty thousand beans inside. Korin was surprisingly generous.
He even included a scroll detailing his personal insights on Senzu Bean cultivation.
"Thanks a lot, Korin! I'll make sure to keep sending you fresh fish regularly through that bracelet. Hope you enjoy it!"
"By the way, do you still have any Flying Nimbus clouds? Mind giving me a few?"
This was the second reason for Dragorr's visit. He wanted to study the Nimbus clouds and figure out how they worked—maybe even replicate or improve on them.
"Flying Nimbus, huh?" Korin stroked his whiskers and gave Dragorr a strange look. "Yeah, I've got some. Quite a few, actually. But you do remember the catch, right?"
"Not to judge or anything, but I don't think you meet the requirements to ride one."
"I mean, you're polite and seem like a decent guy. But I saw that shady deal you made with Master Roshi—heh."
"You're not as pervy as Roshi, sure. But you've definitely got a little rascal in you. Those clouds won't let just anyone ride them, meow!"
Korin's eyes weren't so easily fooled.
Granted, Dragorr wasn't as bad as Master Roshi when it came to certain... desires. But still, his record wasn't exactly squeaky clean.
"Yeah, I know. I'm not planning to ride them. I just want to study them, break down the mechanics, maybe figure out the rules behind them." Dragorr scratched his head with a sheepish grin.
"Alright, fine. I'll give you three. What you do with them is up to you."
With a wave of his paw, Korin summoned three Nimbus clouds—each a different color: gold, white, and pink.
"Thanks, Korin! I'll be off then!"
Dragorr waved, collected the Nimbus clouds and Senzu Beans into his storage, and with a thought, vanished from the top of the tower.
