Chapter 253: How to Give Thanks?

But before the energy could expand any further, Dragorr compressed it back down to the size of a ping pong ball.
It didn't look as large as Master Roshi's Kamehameha from earlier—but Roshi's hair instantly stood on end. He could feel the energy inside that glowing sphere… and it was at least twice as powerful as what he'd released.
And that wasn't even the scary part.
What really sent a chill down his spine was the density. The concentration of energy in that tiny ball? Easily over ten times what his own had been.
"Kamehameha—Cero!!"
Dragorr pointed his finger toward what was left of the distant island.
The sphere instantly shot off, transforming into a piercing beam of light that tore through the sky and slammed into the remains of the island.
BOOM!!
The shockwave hit them a moment later—followed by an earth-shaking explosion. A towering tsunami erupted where the island once was, water surging up to the heavens before sweeping outward in every direction like a monster unleashed.
"Hey hey hey!! Kid!! You just caused a disaster!!" Roshi shouted, panicking. "If that wave hits any nearby islands or coastal villages, people are gonna get hurt! Hurry—do something to stop it!"
The old master's muscles bulged as he powered up, transforming into a jacked old man and getting ready to jump into action.
But Dragorr Renzo stepped forward and stopped him.
"No need for that. I've got this."
He strode over to the shoreline, knelt down, and plunged one hand into the water.
In a calm voice, he whispered:
"Ice Magic: Ice Age."
A pulse of frigid energy erupted from his palm.
Crack… Crack… Crack…!!
Before their eyes, the ocean began to freeze—starting from his hand and spreading outward at terrifying speed.
In just two seconds, the colossal tidal wave—hundreds of meters tall—was frozen solid, along with a massive stretch of ocean. The icy expansion halted the disaster in its tracks.
Even underwater, everything within ten meters of the surface was frozen solid.
Roshi: "..."
Bulma: "..."
Turtle: "..."
"What the hell is this?"
"He froze the ocean…?"
"Holy crap!!"
Everyone stared in stunned silence, the frozen sea gleaming under the sun. Slowly, their eyes drifted back to Dragorr.
"Kid… just how many terrifying powers do you have up your sleeve?" Roshi muttered, visibly shaken. "You just froze the damn ocean! Are you even beatable at this point?!"
For the first time in a long while, Master Roshi felt like total garbage in comparison.
And that Kamehameha finger beam from earlier? That was just as insane!
"This guy learns way too fast…"
"To think he can condense a Kamehameha into a finger and make it even stronger than normal... His control over ki is way beyond mine. And the amount of ki he has… it's just unreal."
Roshi couldn't help but mutter to himself.
With his decades of experience, he knew very well: for someone to master ki like that from the very beginning, their body must be built different on a whole other level.
He couldn't even begin to imagine it.
"Is that… even something a human can do? To freeze an entire sea? This guy's basically a walking natural disaster..."
Bulma's eyes sparkled with admiration as she stared at Dragorr.
This was her boyfriend.
"Yup, I definitely know how to pick 'em~!" she thought gleefully to herself.

Meanwhile…
At the top of Korin Tower, Korin peered into a giant water basin, watching the scene unfold.
"Meow… That brat's one of Roshi's students too?" he muttered, stroking his whiskers. "That Kamehameha finger thing was already nuts, but this? Freezing an entire sea? Since when did Roshi teach that? Meow!"

At the same time, far above in the Lookout, thousands of meters up in the sky…
Kami and Mr. Popo stood at the edge of the floating temple, looking out over the sea where Dragorr was.
They, too, had witnessed the whole thing—from the island-leveling blast to the instant freezing of the ocean.
Kami looked troubled.
"When did Earth end up with such a powerful warrior? And so young, too… He must be one of Roshi's students. Popo, do you know anything about him?"
Despite his title as assistant, Mr. Popo had existed far longer than this Kami—or even the one before him.
Nobody really knew how long he'd been around.
Popo shook his head. "Popo does not know. Until recently, he was known only as a brilliant scientist… essentially, just a regular person."
"But now… even Popo cannot see through him. He's cloaked in mystery."
Afterward, Kami reviewed some past footage of Dragorr and noticed something curious—he often spoke to those around him about "future," "Past," or "fate."
Apparently, he'd received some kind of divine blessing.
Kami frowned. "A divine gift from some higher being? But who could it be…?"
In the grand scope of the universe, Kami was just a minor deity. He barely ranked at all—and knew very few gods beyond Earth.
"I just hope… it's not something bad."

Back on the ocean where Dragorr and the others were—
"Uh… freezing the entire sea like that—are we sure that's not going to cause a problem? I mean, the surrounding environment could seriously suffer," the sea turtle finally spoke up, unable to stay silent any longer.
Even now, no one knew how many fish had been caught in that sudden flash-freeze. The sea turtle was seriously wondering whether any of those marine creatures were still alive.
"Relax, I've got it handled," Dragorr replied with a calm smile.
He was just about to cast a spell to reshape the ice when—
—Whoosh!
A golden cloud streaked across the sky, heading toward them at top speed. It was Goku and the others, finally returning from their trip.
Krillin, Goku, and Launch—all riding the Flying Nimbus (Kinda)—stared wide-eyed at the scene below: miles and miles of frozen ocean stretching out beneath them.
"Uh… wait a second," Krillin said nervously. "You don't think Master Roshi got caught in all that ice, do you?"
He looked pretty worried. After all, he'd gone through hell just to find Master Roshi and was about to become his student. It'd be a huge blow if the old man got taken out right before that.
"Look! Over there—it's Master Roshi's island! Everyone's okay!" Goku shouted, his sharp eyes spotting the little island untouched by the ice.
"Oh, thank god…"
Krillin squinted down and saw the island too. Everyone there seemed fine. He let out a huge sigh of relief.
"…Wait a minute." Krillin's brow furrowed. "Something doesn't add up."
"Why does it look like the ice started from Master Roshi's island? And how come the entire area around it just happens to be totally unfrozen? It's like the island was some kind of boundary. Did Master Roshi… do all this?"
As they floated down and landed near the island, Roshi overheard Krillin's comment. The old man scratched his head awkwardly and chuckled, a bit red-faced.
"Heh… hate to disappoint you, but nope! This wasn't me. No way I could pull that off! That was my student, your senpai—Dragorr!"
Funny how Roshi hadn't called him a student before, but now that Dragorr had done something amazing, the old turtle master was quick to claim him.
Dragorr just smiled. He didn't really mind. He had learned Ki and the Kamehameha from Roshi, after all—so being called a student wasn't wrong.
"Huh? Dragorr…? Our senpai?" Goku and Krillin turned to look at him in surprise.
"Ice Melt!"
Dragorr lifted his hand. With a flick of his fingers, he activated his Ice Magic. The towering glaciers formed by the frozen tidal waves began to collapse and melt in real time, reshaping the ocean's surface.
The frozen sea began to flow again.
Within minutes, the once-frozen stretch of ocean—spanning dozens of kilometers—was completely restored to its original state.
The massive icebergs were gone, melted into nothing.
Even the fish that had been frozen beneath the surface started swimming again, as if nothing had happened. Startled but alive, they darted away from the area.
"Unbelievable!"
Krillin and Goku gasped, awestruck.
"Wow! That was amazing!" Launch clapped her hands together in delight, her big blue eyes sparkling as she stared at Dragorr.
And when she looked at him again… her expression had definitely changed.
"Dang…" Master Roshi muttered, watching it all unfold. "You really pulled it off, huh? You didn't just freeze the sea—you unfroze it too, like it was nothing! That's incredible!"
Meanwhile, across the nearby islands and coastal villages, everyone was still recovering from the shock.
They'd heard a massive explosion, watched an island get obliterated, seen monstrous waves rise into the sky, only to freeze in place—and now, everything was melting and going back to normal, like a dream.
"What the heck just happened out there?"
"Was that... the wrath of the Sea God?"
"Wrath? Didn't feel like wrath to me—didn't the Sea God just save us?"
"Who cares! Whether it was divine punishment or a blessing, one thing's clear—the Sea God showed up to protect us! Hey, kid! Come help your old man deliver thanks to the Sea God!"
"Honey, let's make another baby to thank the Sea God!"
"Huh? What does that have to do with anything?"
"Simple! The more people we have, the more thanks we can give in the future... It's called an investment."
"That actually makes sense."
"Yeah! Let's all give thanks!"
