Chapter 103: Chapter 103: Two Green Monsters

"Rod, did Stark agree?" General Ross asked, eyes narrowing with tension.

"I don't know," Colonel James Rhodes replied helplessly. "Tony hung up right after I made the request."

Strictly speaking, Ross wasn't even Rod's direct superior, but the Colonel still gave him face—partly out of military decorum, partly because he couldn't stomach watching innocent people suffer in Harlem.

"General, the tanks are in position, but... are we really deploying them in Harlem?" a young officer asked hesitantly.

"I've already ordered artillery to open fire," Ross answered coldly. "If we don't stop that monster now, things will only get worse. Remember, our mission is to protect the people!"

Of course, Ross conveniently left out the fact that he was the one who approved Emil Blonsky's injection of the unstable Super Soldier serum derived from the Hulk. That detail didn't suit the current narrative.

"Fire!" Ross ordered.

A 120mm copper-jacketed shell screamed through the air toward the Abomination—but in a horrifying display of brute strength, the creature caught it mid-air. The shell detonated in the monster's palm, engulfing him in flames and smoke.

When the blast cleared, the Abomination stood there, completely unharmed. His twisted body was charred, but unbroken—no real damage had been done.

"Roar!" The beast let out a thunderous growl. Tank shells might as well have been firecrackers. Bronsky, now the Abomination, grinned maniacally. He had gotten what he wanted: power beyond any human.

"Keep firing!" Ross bellowed.

Shells rained down, drowning the Abomination in fire and smoke. But when the barrage ended and the dust cleared, he was still standing—unscathed, not even a scale missing from his grotesque frame.

"Ants," Blonsky sneered.

He knew exactly what he was doing. He could have reined himself in, but no—he wanted to unleash chaos. Ever since surpassing human limits, he'd longed for this moment of total dominance.

"General, the tank rounds are ineffective! Requesting upgraded firepower!"

"Repeat: tank rounds are ineffective—requesting immediate firepower escalation!"

Ross watched from a military helicopter as Harlem descended into ruin. His expression twisted—not out of concern for civilians, but for his own career. If he couldn't contain this mess, his rank—and reputation—were finished.

"Is Banner... really the only one who can stop this?" Ross muttered, eyes shifting toward Bruce Banner, unconscious in the chopper. The scientist had been sedated and injected with an inhibitor that suppressed his transformations. Right now, Banner was just an ordinary man.

Suddenly, a flash of gold and red streaked through the sky and landed in a classic superhero pose.

"Hey, big guy," Tony Stark called out, voice dripping with sarcasm. "Didn't your mom teach you not to wreck cities?"

But Bronsky didn't even flinch. He swung a massive arm—and swatted Iron Man straight into a nearby building like a fly.

"Sir, the armor sustained 9% damage," Jarvis informed calmly. "Please exercise caution."

"What the hell just happened, Jarvis?"

"You were slapped into a wall, sir. I also detected a minor concussion. Would you like me to contact your personal physician?"

"No thanks..." Tony groaned, pushing debris off himself.

Outside, reporters were already rolling.

"Our hero Iron Man has arrived to save the day!"

"Iron Man's launching an attack!"

"He's...he's been knocked away!"

Across the country, viewers gasped in front of their TVs. If even Iron Man couldn't stop this monster, who could?

Tony regrouped and took to the skies again, launching a few armor-piercing rounds and unleashing his palm and chest-mounted pulse cannons.

But against the Abomination, it was like throwing pebbles at a tank.

Sure, he managed to scratch the creature's skin—but the wounds healed almost instantly, like the damage was nothing more than a paper cut.

"Jarvis, how much power do we have left?"

"Armor energy at 49%, sir. You may wish to manage your output more conservatively."

Tony gritted his teeth. This was only his second official mission, and things were already going south. "I'm scraping this guy like I'm giving him a damn spa treatment."

"Jarvis, what do we really have left in the tank?"

"You could try deploying the Jericho missile, sir. It may be enough to wound him significantly."

Tony hesitated. "And wipe out most of Harlem with it? Great idea. No, we're not doing that."

He knew he was outgunned, but he could still play distraction. As long as the Abomination focused on him, at least the civilians had a chance.

Flying low, Tony opened a channel. "Ross, this thing—this freak—is one of yours, isn't it? Some twisted lab experiment gone rogue. You better find a way to shut it down—now."

Ross was caught off guard by Stark's call, but quickly recovered. Of course Tony could crack their temporary encrypted channel.

Ross was stuck between panic and awe. On one hand, the Abomination's power proved the potential of their serum. On the other hand... it was clearly uncontrollable.

Then a quiet voice spoke behind him.

"Let me go."

Ross turned. Banner had woken up.

"Is Betty okay?" Banner asked softly.

"She's fine," Ross answered gruffly, then added coldly, "But you and her—you're from two different worlds. Someone like you can't make her happy."

Ross didn't hesitate to crush any lingering feelings between Banner and his daughter. In his eyes, Banner was just a failed test subject—a man too weak to control his own emotions, let alone protect someone like Betty.

"Then I'm relieved," Banner replied, a strange calm in his voice. "Let me handle this from here."

"Get it through your head," Ross snapped. "You've been dosed with the inhibitor—you can't transform anymore. If you go down there, you'll die."

"It doesn't matter if I die," Banner said, standing up. "There's nothing left to hold on to."

Then, without warning, he stepped off the chopper and fell.

Ross lunged toward the door—but it was too late. Banner hit the ground in a cloud of dust and debris.

Ross stared down in disbelief.

"Did he just... kill himself?" he muttered. After all this time chasing Banner, had he really just died by jumping out of a damn helicopter?

A low, primal roar echoed through the destruction.

"HULK!"

The dust exploded outward. A massive green figure emerged from the rubble—eyes burning with fury.

He saw the Abomination in the distance and immediately launched himself forward in a giant leap.

"Sir," Jarvis warned, "An unidentified object is heading your way—fast!"

"What did you just say—" Tony began.

CRASH!

Tony was smashed back into the pavement, armor dented. In his place now stood the Hulk—radiating raw rage.

"Banner?" Bronsky sneered. "Hah! Let's see what you've got!"

The two giants lunged at each other, fists colliding in a massive shockwave that shattered every window in a two-block radius.

The Hulk went flying backward.

Bronsky grinned wider.

"Is that it, Banner? Is that all you've got?"

------------------------

"Right now, everyone can see it—Harlem looks like a war zone. The green giant who tore through the city before is now facing off against another green giant! But it's clear… this new guy just doesn't measure up."

A daring New York reporter narrated live from a helicopter, capturing the chaos below.

Hulk was clearly struggling against his opponent, the Abomination. Emil Blonsky, once an elite soldier, had retained his combat training even after his grotesque transformation. Unlike Hulk, who fought mostly on instinct, Blonsky was skilled, ruthless, and—worst of all—still fully conscious and in control.

To make matters worse, the inhibitor Bruce Banner had injected himself with earlier was still dampening Hulk's strength. The odds weren't just stacked against him—they were toppling over.

"Is this the best you've got, Banner?" Abomination sneered as he landed a brutal punch. "Doesn't look like much!"

He was more than just a powerful brute—he was Banner's nightmare made flesh. If not for Banner's gamma serum, Blonsky would've been dead long ago. Now, empowered and twisted, he showed no mercy.

General Ross's inhibitor had done something, but not nearly enough. Hulk was sluggish, disoriented—and it showed.

And poor Harlem? It was being reduced to rubble by just one of these monsters. Now that there were two, the devastation was beyond comprehension.

"You're nothing, Banner! Just a lab dog on Ross's leash!" Abomination roared, his voice filled with unhinged fury. His words hit harder than his fists, pushing Hulk into a frenzied howl.

Abomination hurled a car at Hulk, then launched into a series of follow-up attacks. Hulk, though clearly outmatched, wasn't stupid—he began to dodge, keeping his distance, biding his time.

When he noticed the circling news chopper overhead, something snapped. With a grunt, he tore a streetlight from the ground and flung it at the helicopter.

"Get out of the way!"

The chopper rocked violently as the lamp smashed into its tail.

"JARVIS, max thrusters!" Tony Stark burst onto the scene in his Iron Man suit, diving to catch the falling helicopter.

"Sir, power reserves are down to 5%. Engaging in further combat is not recommended," JARVIS warned.

"Goddamn it!" Tony hissed. It was the first time since his captivity that he'd felt this helpless. "Remind me to upgrade the suit—again."

"Sir, I recommend contacting Mr. Su. His Uchiha Office accepted the mission request earlier."

"Right. Jarvis—get me Su Xiuyu, now."

"Calling."

After a tense few minutes, the line connected.

"Yo, what's up, Stark?" came a relaxed female voice.

"Miss Chisato?"

"Yep. You need to speak to Xiuyu? He's out right now—ran into the Ancient One this morning or something. What's up?"

"I need to hire you guys. Two green monsters are tearing Harlem apart. Can you handle it?"

"You mean those two on TV?" she asked, smirking. "Of course. Starting price is sixty million. Still want it?"

"I've already transferred eighty," Tony replied without hesitation. "Just get here—fast."

Two minutes later, a portal lit up in a quiet corner of Harlem. Four figures stepped through—Uchiha Chisato, Uzumaki Mito, Uzumaki Asaoka, and Su Xiuyu's student, Bobby.

"We're here, Stark," Chisato said, pinging him their location.

Tony quickly flew over and landed near them.

"These two don't look easy to take down…" he said, eyeing the monsters in the distance.

Chisato gave him a confident smile. "Relax. I could handle this myself. I just brought Mito and Asaoka to supervise while Bobby gets some practice. You should start evacuating civilians. It's gonna get loud."

Chisato was the type who enjoyed a good fight. Mito, not so much—she preferred peace but wouldn't hesitate to go all-out if needed. Still, dealing with a couple of gamma freaks wasn't enough to get her blood pumping.

Tony hesitated. These four looked way too young for a battlefield. But there was something in their eyes—calm, deadly focus—that made him reconsider.

"Bobby," Chisato said, her tone suddenly sharp. "Don't get cocky. If things go south—run."

"Got it," Bobby replied coolly, his voice steady.

He stepped forward and raised a hand.

"Ice Thorn Spear!"

A massive spear of ice shot through the air, crashing into the Abomination. It exploded into a freezing mist, clouding the area and obscuring both green titans.

"Ice Age."

Bobby tapped the ground gently. A wave of frost spread outward like wildfire, freezing everything in a two-kilometer radius.

Thick sheets of ice, thirty centimeters deep, consumed the street. Cars, lampposts, debris—everything was encased in shimmering blue.

Tony's jaw dropped.

"Wait—was that ninjutsu?"

"Nope," Chisato replied casually. "Bobby's a mutant. Doesn't use ninjutsu at all."

"Oh…" Tony scratched his head awkwardly. "Yeah, I, uh… kinda didn't pay attention to anything outside my lab for a while."

"You don't say," Chisato deadpanned.

Down below, the Abomination growled.

"Where the hell did you come from, you little insect!"

He leapt several hundred meters and came crashing down toward Bobby.

"Ice Thorns!"

Instantly, jagged spears of ice erupted from the ground like a frozen forest. They didn't stop Abomination—but they slowed him.

"Millennium Ice Prison!"

Thick icicles rose, forming an enormous frozen prison around him. Each pillar was over a meter thick, reinforced by Bobby's terrifyingly low temperature control—he could now reach as low as minus 200 degrees Celsius.

For a moment, it seemed like the Abomination was contained.

But not for long.

"Just wait, you little freak!" Abomination bellowed, smashing against the ice. Punch after punch echoed across the battlefield. Eventually, the thick ice cracked—then shattered.

Bobby didn't flinch. "Just like Master said—it's not enough yet."

His master had warned him: even his strongest ice moves could be broken by someone with enough brute strength. Today proved him right.

In the distance, Hulk noticed the Abomination had wandered off and charged after him.

Now, both monsters stood facing Bobby.

Two green titans. One mutant.

And the battlefield was just getting started.
