Chapter 7: Ms. Heroine, Please Leave Me Alone!; The Villainess Saves the Day!
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
Loud noises could be heard from outside the carriage. The sounds of large banging, yelling, wild horses, and Sir Evergreen's worried voice.
"What the...what's going on??" Amethyst immediately questioned upon hearing the noise, her eyes now rabid with frantic worry.
"My lady, it's just a minor inconvenience! I'll be done in a little, but, please, for the love of the Goddess, stay in the carriage!" The knight screeched from out of the carriage.
"I've seen this scene one too many times to not recognize it..." Amethyst panicked, realizing it was bandits. Troublesome things, really.
"Tch...it would be inconvenient for me to interfere but I wanna go home quickly"
Looking around the spacious carriage, Amethyst caressed the red leather seating. Sitting across from her were two--no, one frightened maid and one that seemed quite angry at the situation.
Amber held Alicia's hand tightly, one hand wrapping around her waist while the other grabbed the shivering hand near her.
Alicia had already settled herself into Amber's chest, trembling as she looked down.
"Tch..." Amber's forehead wrinkled slightly as her grip tightened, pulling the younger woman closer to her.
"Honey, why don't you help out them? Look how scared peachy is. -Mother"
"Peachy? Who is tha--oh." Amethyst looked straight forward, glancing past Amber and straight at Alicia.
"You mean Alicia...Well, I guess I could help out a little, but isn't it suspicious, a young noble girl suddenly overpowering bandits? Plus, Sir Evergreen is he--"
Amethyst's hand pushed the curtained window open a little, Evergreen had been surrounded by around 22 bandits.
5 in front, 5 in the back. 7 bandits had been hidden in the trees, bushes--everywhere around the surrounding terrain. 3 were approaching the carriage while the other 2 were supporting the other bandits with magic power and buffs.
The rest were dead, sprawled out on the floor.
If counted, the number would probably reach about 13.
"I guess I do need to at least try out the gift or magic you've given me, Mother."
Amethyst opens the door, slightly, peering out of the carriage cautiously as to not get caught.
"Exactly! Remember, if you ever need help, just wish for it! I'll be right with you! -Mother"
"I'll keep that in mind." The lavender-scented girl turned around, towards the two cuddling maids.
"You trust me right, Amber, Alicia?" Amethyst inquired, though their answer honestly didn't matter right now.
"Of course, my lady," Amber said with an unfamiliar voice as if she was attempting not to explode at the intruding bandits.
"With all my heart!" A teary-faced Alicia replied, looking up from Amber's chest slowly.
"Great, stay here."
"Wait, huh?"
The widened stares of the two servants could be sensed from a thousand miles away as Amethyst exited the carriage.
"MY LA--" Alicia's mouth quickly got covered by Amber's gloved hand. "If the young miss orders us to do so, we must. Got it?" Amber said, curving her lips into a gentle smile,
"But..."
"I thought you said you trusted the madam...are you lying now?"
"What?! No! I would never! Not to her..."
"Exactly, so stay here and trust in her"
Secretly, Amber was extremely worried about Amethyst...Still, to her, Alicia needed to be protected too.
"Stay safe, please...young miss" Amber hesitated, looking towards the carriage door as she caresses Alicia's hair with care.
…
"Young miss? What are y--" Sir Evergreen widened his eyes as the scene unfolded in front of him.
Flop
Plop
ROOM DOOM DOOM (Fat much.)
One by one, bodies dropped to the floor, breathless.
One...
Two...
Three...
Three bandits. Murdered in cold blood.
"What...what just happened?!"
"Shh...It's fine, please, let me handle this for now." Amethyst placed a finger over her mouth with mischievous smirk before removing it and throwing her silk white glove down.
"Mother? Can y--"
"Already done. -Mother"
Crash
Amethyst looked up, then down at the sight of her knight on unconscious on the floor.
Shrugging it off, Amethyst continued to walk on, careful to not get harmed or ambushed.
"Mother..."
"Hm? -Mother"
"So like...you know how your a goddess and stuff..."
"You want me to use the sensor to search for any other things that could harm you? -Mother"
"Mhm! Ah—well, not exactly."
"Then what? -Mother"
"The heroine of this game—wait, you do know that this world takes place in an otome game? Right?" Amethyst looked up, her face darkened with nervousness.
"If I didn't, why and how would I know about you and give you your strength? Hm? -Mother"
"Okok...I get it!!" Amelia relieved, giving a hearty smile in exchange.
"But, uhm, as I was saying," The crystal-like violet haired girl continued in a milky voice, "The heroine of this game, I don't have any personal connection with her, but in one of the background information panels about the MC it thoroughly explained that once in her childhood, in which she is the same age as me right now, she had been involved in a slave-trade situation...do you think we can-"
"Save her? Sure, however, why now? -Mother"
Amethyst immediately brightened up. "Let me explain first...please?"
"Alright, alright. Go on then, honey. -Mother"
"About the heroine's childhood, she grew up practically blessed? Right? I mean, she is a marquise's daughter after all. But, before that she was neglected. Honestly, the only reason she was able to gain attraction and love from anyone around her in the first place, before the main story started, was because those around her realized her magic potential...what she could eventually do, basically. However, at this point she is still a neglected noble. I'm guessing right now that shit head father of hers sold her away as a slave. He doesn't even need the money, it was simply that the marquise thought of her as a thorn at his side. It's truly cruel, especially since she is the same age as me. I was really frustrated, you know!! She barely managed to escape her life of slavery because the Emperor found out about this illegal opperation. Still, the marquise never got caught...it's really suspicious. Anyway, Felicity was beaten, nearly sexually harassed, and faced other outright despicable crimes that nearly caused her to break and...well...die."
"You're fond of her? -Mother"
"Fond? Mh.. I guess you could say that, maybe?"
"Love? -Mother"
"Ok, now you're pushing it." Amethyst said with a slight tone of anger leaking through her words,
"Fine..! You want to go save her, though? -Mother"
"Mhm."
"What's your plan. -Mother"
"I'll discuss that with you later. For now, however, let me deal with the servants."
"Kayyy ~(つˆДˆ)つ。☆ -Mother"
