Chapter 2: 2 Nirvana Rebirth
Before her death, the anger, unwillingness, confusion, despair, and heartache of being betrayed by the person she trusted most almost drove her to breakdown. At that moment, however, a gentle call entered her ears, her heart, abruptly awakening her…
Mu Hanyan abruptly opened her eyes and saw a familiar face filled with concern. Upon seeing her open her eyes, the person breathed a sigh of relief, their eyebrows slowly relaxing, and their eyes were filled with boundless tenderness.
While Mu Hanyan stared blankly at the person before her, the smile on their face turned back into concern as they extended a hand to softly touch her face. Feeling the genuine touch, Mu Hanyan reached out and tightly grasped the warm hand, holding it again and again, to confirm something. After the realization hit her with shock and then overwhelming joy, she was certain that this was not an illusion, but truly her mother's hand she was holding. Mu Hanyan's tears began to fall silently, and then could not be stopped, gushing forth.
"Han Yan, what's the matter? What has happened? Your mother knows you were wronged, I know everything. I know you're aggrieved. Stop crying, stop crying, my dear." The warm hand stroked Mu Hanyan's head, gently pulling her into an embrace, comforting her tenderly. This warm embrace belonged to Mu Hanyan's mother, Yue Fanling.
"Why cry, really. It's just a misunderstanding. You're also so useless, falling for such a simple trick. What's your brain for? Fourth Miss Zhao is a pig-brain, and you're even worse than her," a clear and chilly voice mocked from the side, its words anything but pleasant to hear. This voice belonged to Mu Hanyan's twin brother, Mu Hanfeng.
"Han Yan is already like this, yet you still speak that way. Shut your mouth! Get out! Get out!" Yue Fanling's face turned pale with anger as she scolded Mu Hanfeng, driving him out.
"It's the truth, worse than a pig!" Mu Hanfeng, with a face of ice, dropped these cold words, glimpsed at Mu Hanyan crying in distress, snorted, and turned to leave.
Watching her brother's disdainful retreating figure, their mother trembled with anger, wishing she could drag Mu Hanfeng back and give him a good thrashing.
Mu Hanyan, however, wasn't angry. Holding her mother's hand, she comforted her by patting the back of her hand, tears flowing uncontrollably down her cheeks—it was this brother who always mocked and scorned her, seemingly indifferent, who in a past life had protected her in his way, distracting those who pursued her by disguising himself as her, ultimately meeting his demise without a moment's hesitation.
Mu Hanyan's crying grew fiercer until her whole body convulsed, beyond her control.
No one knew the turmoil and ecstasy in her heart at this moment!
She had returned, returned!
She had once died, but now, she had been reborn!
She was once again back in the year she was fifteen! The words of her brother and mother were exactly what was said after she had been framed by the Fourth Miss Zhao at the age of fifteen!
Which meant that all those painful events from the future hadn't happened yet, not at all!
Could everything still be salvaged?
Her mother was still here, and her brother too.
They were all here, not dead from protecting her! There was still time to safeguard them, she still could!
In this life, she must protect them well, she definitely would! She absolutely wouldn't let the tragedies of her previous life happen again!
