Mr. CEO Falls in Love with the Destitute Heiress

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Mind in Disarray

After leaving Jin Mo's house, Chi Ran lit a cigarette in the corner, took a deep drag, and then coughed violently, almost bringing tears to his eyes.

Actually, he didn't smoke, but for Jin Mo, he was willing to learn.

Remembering the girl who was always playing pranks, Chi Ran couldn't help but curve his lips into a smile.

She always hovered around him smelling of smoke, saying she wanted to drag the good student into her company and that if he wanted to be her good friend, he would have to learn to smoke.

Chi Ran had secretly bought a pack of cigarettes once and practiced in hiding, but even after all these years, he had never gotten used to the taste.

Another man was similarly disturbed by Jin Mo's presence.

At that moment, Tang Yan sat on the couch, his long legs crossed, holding a faded old photograph.

The girl in the photo had a ponytail and looked up proudly, her eyebrows and eyes curved.

Who would have thought that a harmless-looking girl would cause such upheaval in his middle school life?

Years later, he still had visions in his mind: he was sitting at his desk when Jin Mo walked over with her arms crossed, looking down at him from above, "Your name is Tang Yan?"

After that, the girl kept appearing in front of him, playing tricks and pranks.

Calling it courtship would have been less accurate than calling it a method of drawing attention.

Now that she had fallen into his hands, Tang Yan would not let go of the woman who had bullied him in the past.

A new day began, and from that day, her routine was to travel between Lanshan Villa and her home; she hardly needed to return to the office.

Deng Huixu had just finished making breakfast when she saw Jin Mo, dressed neatly, coming out of the bedroom.

Having already suffered once the day before, Jin Mo had prepared herself both physically and psychologically to successfully carry out this task.

An hour later, Jin Mo stood at the entrance of the villa, took a deep breath, and then walked in with big strides.

At that moment, Tang Yan sat on the couch with his legs crossed, a laptop in front of him, remotely controlling a meeting.

"Please wait a moment, Miss Jin," the nanny said softly before leaving.

Jin Mo stood awkwardly beside him, unable to decide whether to sit or stand.

Watching Tang Yan command the room, communicating in terms she couldn't understand, his brow occasionally furrowed, his gaze sometimes dark, his nose prominent, his eyes deep, his lips thin.

No matter how you looked at him, he was a masterpiece.

Back then, it was such a beauty that had beguiled her, and the man she knew then was even more tender, his gaze not as sharp as now.

"Have you had your fill of looking?"

Tang Yan closed his laptop, his gaze intensely fixed on her.

Jin Mo's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly changed the subject, "Mr. Tang, if there are no other issues, I would like to officially start my work today."

Indeed, beauty leads one astray!

Jin Mo lowered her head, sighing inwardly.

"No rush," Tang Yan said, his smile cold, "To save Miss Jin some trouble, I have already had someone remove all the furniture and belongings from the villa."

Jin Mo's expression froze.

Tang Yan was clearly opposing her.

But she had seen the reality clearly since the day her father jumped from the rooftop—everything had vanished like smoke.

"Since you don't need me today, I'll leave first," Jin Mo said, her hand tightly grasping the strap of her bag.

Tang Yan suddenly stood up, his towering figure imposing like a wall in front of Jin Mo.

"Miss Jin is the designer I hired; of course, she should watch in person here," Tang Yan said, his gaze mocking.

He wanted Jin Mo to witness the dismantling of everything from the Jin Family, to watch the complete destruction of her former home.

Jin Mo took a deep breath, a stiff smile hanging on her lips, "Suit yourself!"
