Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Get Started
Fu Xingzhou gently hissed, a sound that didn't resemble pain but seemed more like extreme pleasure. Following that action, he kissed her lips directly.
Soft and fragrant, her mouth was full of fragrance with a hint of a sweet, fishy taste.
How could she be so fragrant, so sweet, it was almost addictive.
Ye Yan silently cursed him as a pervert but ultimately couldn't resist his fierce onslaught and retreated step by step.
Fu Xingzhou was an extremely dominant man in every aspect.
Ye Yan felt groggy, sensing that they were both covered in sweat. Being so intimately and damply stuck together was clearly uncomfortable, yet every cell in her body was clamoring for more.
The man leaned against her slender neck, his breathing releasing powerful pheromones.
As he finished, his husky voice sounded heavily in her ears, like a breeze brushing across the heart, touching the ears.
"Wife."
Ye Yan felt her whole heart contract intensely.
Fu Xingzhou only called her "wife" occasionally after the deed, his voice laden with post-passion made it seem exceptionally deep as the sea, tender without equal.
But she knew that this term of address actually didn't contain any emotion; it was merely an outburst of feelings, an expression of satisfaction.
She and Fu Xingzhou were just going with the flow, each taking what they needed from a superficial relationship.
Like that night when he had been drinking and asked her to pick him up, by the time she arrived at the Royal Sand Casino, there were several friends in the private room with him, as well as seven or eight beautiful women surrounding them.
He was somewhat of a clean freak, not the type to accept any woman that came his way; he only chose those who met his eye and were clean.
Whether it was a casual affair or a genuine emotion, Ye Yan didn't care.
She only had one request: before they divorced, he should not bring other women in front of her.
Last night, buoyed by alcohol, he had been restless with her all night, and despite his abundant energy, he went off to Hong Kong as dawn broke.
Ye Yan, exhausted, slowly let go of her thoughts which were defeated by sleepiness, and soon she was deeply asleep.
"Useless thing." Fu Xingzhou's interest was still high, but seeing her sleep so deeply, he kindly spared her.
He casually pulled a thin blanket over her before getting out of bed to shower.
Ye Yan was truly tired. When she woke up the next day, the sun was already high in the sky.
There was no phone call in the yard, meaning nothing had happened, or perhaps Director Bi considered her hard work and didn't bother her with small matters.
Being a doctor for so many years, she could count on one hand the times she had slept till the day was bright.
Ye Yan picked up the phone to check—it had battery, it wasn't on silent mode, and she carefully checked WeChat and the call history.
Aside from a voice message from Meng Tian, there was nothing else.
There was a rule in the hospital that phones must not be switched off for twenty-four hours, nor calls ignored. But she was too tired last night and slept too deeply.
Ye Yan sighed in relief, playing Meng Tian's voice message while she freshened up.
Meng Tian had sent four voice messages of 59 seconds each, all about Pei Ye.
Pei Ye was Meng Tian's ex-boyfriend. After dating for three years, Pei Ye cheated with the daughter of their hospital's vice president.
A melodramatic, yet very real tragic story.
"So long already, you still haven't moved on?" Ye Yan, with a toothbrush in her mouth, replied with a text, "He's not worthy of you."
Meng Tian, the leading female forensic doctor in Ao City, deserved better.
Meng Tian didn't respond; looking at the message, it was sent at three o'clock in the morning, she is probably still asleep now.
Ye Yan finished freshening up and walked out of the bedroom.
She thought Fu Xingzhou had already left, but unexpectedly, she saw him in the dining room.
The man was dressed in a meticulously tailored navy blue silk pajama set, looking lazy yet noble.
"Miss Ye is awake, you can eat now," came the voice of the aunt from the kitchen.
The aunt was a part-time cleaner hired by Fu Xingzhou, who would prepare three meals a day for them whenever they stayed over and would also come to clean at scheduled times when no one was residing there.
"Morning." Ye Yan greeted and sat down at the dining table, taking out her phone to scroll through Weibo.
Just as she opened the trending searches, her phone was snatched away.
The man's face soured, "Not afraid of going blind?"
"I wouldn't need you to tend to me if I went blind," Ye Yan reached out to grab the phone back, "Give it back to me."
"Afraid I'll see?" Fu Xingzhou leaned back slightly, appearing to casually flick through the contents of her phone, "Didn't speak ill of me, did you? How do you usually curse me?"
"Fu Xingzhou." Ye Yan stood up, reaching over the table for her phone, her face pale as jade flushed red as if truly infuriated.
"Just kidding." Fu Xingzhou stuffed the phone back into her hand, his laugh somewhat malicious, "I'm not into that fetish."
Ye Yan took back her phone, giving him a cold sneer, "Want to know how I curse you? Need I look at a phone for that? I'll just curse you to your face."
"Alright, curse me a few times, but skip words like 'psychopath' and 'pervert,' I'm tired of those."
Ye Yan had never seen someone so eager to be cursed.
Although she really wanted to satisfy his eager request, she truly didn't know how to curse. She'd heard plenty of cursing in the hospital, but she couldn't learn a single phrase.
The aunt stood in the kitchen with a plate, unsure whether to enter or leave amid this situation. She seized the brief silence between them to smooth things over, "This beef was freshly slaughtered this morning, makes for a delicious beef pie."
The golden brown beef pie soon caught Ye Yan's attention; she didn't want to argue with Fu Xingzhou, as she never won anyway.
In arguments, the one with the thinner skin always ends up at a disadvantage.
After eating, Ye Yan dressed and went to the entrance to change shoes.
"I'll be at Yuqiao these days." He had been constructing a vacation villa on Dangzi Island and hadn't been back to Ao City Peninsula for more than two months.
Fu Xingzhou still sat at the dining table, his deep gaze landing on her neck.
As she bent over, her slender graceful neck resembled the swaying stem of a graceful flower, seemingly ready to burst forth with fragrance at any moment.
She didn't like him leaving marks on it; once he bit too hard, and she got so mad that she didn't let him touch her for days.
Suddenly harboring a malicious thought, Fu Xingzhou embraced her from behind just as Ye Yan had finished putting on one shoe, his cool lips pressing against the back of her neck, sucking forcefully as if intending to intentionally leave a mark.
Ye Yan's body jolted as if shocked, her reaction almost instinctive with a swing of her hand.
She still held a bunch of keys in her hand, and the sharp edge of the key unexpectedly grazed across Fu Xingzhou's face.
A long gash immediately oozed beads of blood.
With Fu Xingzhou's skills, he clearly could have avoided it, but he chose to continue shaping that strawberry into a shape that satisfied him.
The cut on his face didn't cause him pain. Whatever he wanted to do, even with a knife stuck in his heart, he would complete it.
Ye Yan stared at the clear bloodstain on Fu Xingzhou's face, stunned.
She really hadn't meant it; wasn't this man supposed to be very skilled?
The aunt emerged from the kitchen to find the two of them in the throes of a physical altercation, too startled to make a sound; she quickly went to look for antiseptic and band-aids.
By the time the aunt returned, Ye Yan had already left.
Fu Xingzhou felt the blood on his face seemed to be seeping more and more, wiping it lightly with his hand, his fingertips all turned a bright red.
As if feeling no pain, he was not only unbothered but even brought his bloodstained fingertip to his lips for a taste.
A silent, wicked smile spread across his sensual lips, the shock of red all the more startling.
