Unlike women in the first mortal coil, who go through an estrus cycle every month, women in the second mortal coil go through one cycle in probably ten years.

Someone at the second mortal coil can have up to 1,000 units of mana in their body when they reach the peak of the second mortal coil.

1,000 units is already pushing the limit. But someone in the third mortal coil can have up to 1,024 times as much mana within them. There is no way such an amount won't have an effect on reproductive organs.

This is just the effect of mana in normal cases. In an abnormal situation when someone has lightning or fire mana within them.

Even if they are not infertile, it is unlikely that such a person will be able to get pregnant and carry the baby to term without experiencing some form of complication or miscarriage. After all, the body of the mother can handle energy of such levels, but the body of a baby can't.

All of these things make it so that being at the second mortal coil is the best time for humans to reproduce. If they don't reproduce now, they can forget about reproducing in the future without the intervention of some miracle.

So Augustus, who has the potential and the goal to reach the third mortal coil, has to help his wife to conceive now that he can. As for the pleasure gained from sexual pleasure, he will just take that as an incentive to help his family.

Normal accommodations have mana concentrations that range between rank 2 and rank 3. Even though normal accommodations are free, more mana concentration is always better.

Higher mana concentration is especially important for those who are in the process of transcending the second mortal coil to reach the third mortal coil. This is why superior accommodations were made available for disciples in the outer sect to rent.

So if someone wants the superior accommodation, they can either perform excellently or be rich. Arthur already has access to a superior accommodation, but he wants to create a better record to beat Goldwyn's record and become number 1 for the fighting excellence test.

He figured that since he couldn't beat Goldwyn in the bet, he would beat him in another way. The victory in the performance test won't make up for the 4 million gold coins that he has to give Goldwyn, but it will make him feel better.

And from what he knows about Goldwyn, the loss in the performance test will really get to him. The thought of this is enough to make Arthur smile and feel good despite the loss of the bet.
