Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 355: Siege of 65.

The good news was that Chris died quickly. This was good news for both of them because it meant that Chris didn't have to suffer much and Arthur didn't have to waste time and effort killing him.

After making sure that his enemy was dead, he released the guy's spine and let his deformed body drop to the ground. Then he cleaned his arm and gauntlet with a spell.

While cleaning his arm, he said to Roar, "In the spirit of not wasting, you should come and fill up your stomach with this."

Roar came over eagerly to eat the corpse. Meanwhile, Arthur glanced at the other four to see if they wanted to fight too.

But the other four took off as soon as he glanced at them. So he shrugged and grabbed the space pouch of the guy he just killed so as to look through it.

While he was doing this, he walked back to where Thor was. Then he resumed storing their loot.

After Roar was done with his food, the three of them set off again. The fight with Thor was just a slight distraction. It was the first time that it happened to Arthur, but it wouldn't be the last time.

As time went on, more and more people died. But the rate at which the secret realm was being cleared didn't reduce because people were forming large groups that made it easy to overwhelm the resistance of the beasts in the secret realm.

Arthur and Thor encountered many of these groups along the way. Sometimes they fought, and other times they ignored each other.

But Arthur didn't initiate any of the fight. It wasn't because he was scared of them. It was because it wasn't time yet to start hunting other disciples.

His focus was on getting the precious plants as fast as possible. As long as something doesn't fall into the hands of the disciples of the Blood Skull sect or the elders, he believes that it is only a matter of time for him to get it.

Unfortunately, the disciples of other sects didn't think like him. To them, they wanted to eliminate every disciple of the Blood Skull Sect before these abnormal people had the time to focus on them and begin hunting them en masse.

This is the root cause of why many groups wanted to kill Arthur. But there were more reasons, such as personal vendettas.

The four disciples of the Sword Way sect that had escaped from him finally met with the reinforcement that they had called earlier. Then they began tracking Arthur and Thor.

There were 65 of them in total. This gave them the confidence to take down Arthur and Thor.

They were confident even though they had witnessed one obsidian-skinned disciple of the Blood Skull Sect take down 40 people with one move. Their confidence lay in the fact that they were 65, and some of them had more than one sword to fight with.

Plus, Arthur and Thor had low cultivation. So even if the two of them were powerful, they shouldn't be able to hold on for long because of the lack of energy.

They were right about the lack of energy. But they will soon find out that things aren't as simple as that.

Thor had just finished a fight when 65 people besieged them. Arthur sighed when he saw this.

Then he said to Thor, "We might have to deal with this together. Let me take action first. I'll tag you in if I can't handle all of them."

Thor nodded and hurriedly took some concentration pills to recover his mental energy. He also made the golem be in a standby mode in preparation for the fight.

Arthur didn't wait for the enemy to attack before he took action. Even before they reached him, he slapped his pouch and took out some seeds.

After that, he activated the plant growth spell on the seeds and threw them forward. The seeds grew rapidly and turned into large trees quickly.

Next, he used the Wood Control spell to make the trees take root deep into the ground. After 70% of the roots had become anchored properly, he turned the remaining 30% of the roots into spikes and made them grow upwards in the direction of the enemy.

The enemies were running towards him when a small forest suddenly appeared in front of their target and blocked their view. Then the soil in front of them broke apart to reveal several wooden spears rushing towards them.

Each spear has the power of 200 units behind it. This is 20 times more powerful than the power of their bodies, so if they don't take action to resist it, they will be torn apart by the wall of spears.

They are all at the peak of the second mortal coil, but even if they empower their bodies with life force to resist the attack and were at the first stage of oneness with the sword, which is the state that can bring out their full power, they still wouldn't be able to match the power of the attack.

With the first stage of oneness of the sword, their maximum attack is 110. So they had to stop the wooden spears from reaching them if they hoped to survive.

They took out their swords and controlled them to fly with their minds towards the wall of wooden spears rapidly approaching them. The swords flew forward and chopped the wooden spears.

The power of the wooden spears is high, but their defense and durability still can't compare to that of a sword. Besides, a sword can concentrate all of its power on its edge and strike the weak part of the wooden spears.

So the wooden spears were quickly chopped off. However, some of them still managed to reach the swordsmen because Arthur kept making more wooden spears.

He was making wooden speare faster than they were chopped. There was too much of them, so swordsmen ran away to avoid the attack, but the roots pursued them.
