Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 349: Eager To Fight.

Only when there is no way forward but to fight will disciples of the Blood Skull sect attack each other. This will ensure that weak prey beings won't take advantage of the two predators after they fight and injure each other.

So the disciples of the Blood Skull sect that saw them left them alone. As for the disciples of other sects, they left Arthur and Thor alone because they were afraid.

No amount of beast carcass would make them decide to fight disciples of the Blood Skull sect. Especially when one of the beast carcass belongs to a suspected rank 3 beast.

In fact, many of them ran away as soon as they spotted their identity. They ran away because they could be next on the chopping block after Arthur and Thor were done dealing with the beast carcasses.

But there were some people who were not afraid of them or were afraid but wanted to dispel their fear by being brave. Their bravely was further encouraged by the absence of the corpse of the rank 3 beast.

They didn't see the dead rank 3 Beast because it had been stored, so these people didn't run away once they determined that Arthur and Thor were disciples of the Blood Skull sect.

There were five people in this team. All five of them were disciples of the Sword Way sect.

Even the disciples of the Black Bones sect and the Purple Flower sect, who were capable of fatally injuring the disciples of the Blood Skull sect with their poisons, decided not to fight with Arthur and Thor.

They gave up because even though their poisons could harm anyone, it is unlikely that they would survive the confrontation with disciples of the Blood Skull sect. But these five disciples from the Sword Way sect were not convinced.

One of them was even eager to fight them. The four people around him could tell because the swords he was carrying in the basket on his back were clanging sonorously as if they were happy.

The man had silver hair on his head that extended into sharp spikes resembling blades. His eyes were black, but there was an occasional flash of silver in his eyes.

The flash in his eyes became more frequent as he stared at Arthur and Thor. He truly wanted to fight them and see how strong they were. So he took a step forward towards them.

But just as he moved, the lady beside him grabbed his arm. He turned to look at her to question her. But even before he could ask why she was stopping him, she was already shaking her head.

Another person on his other side advised calmly, "There is no need to fight them over their things. We are the Sword Way sect. We don't do such things. If you want a beast carcass, then get some yourself."

The man that spoke looked like an elegant scholar. He was dressed impeccably and had a noble demeanor. The only thing that clashed with his look was the large sword strapped to his back.

This sword was black and as wide as a door. The sword was also taller than the scholar. It is the kind of sword one would expect from a barbarian, not a scholar.

The guy with the silver blades for hair turned to the scholar and snorted, "Don't insult me, Jesick. I just want to fight them to see how strong they are. I am not after their loot."

The scholar remained calm as he continued to admonish him. "That is even worse. At least you would get something if you were trying to steal from them. But fighting them just to see how strong they are in this situation is a waste of time. and resources."

The guy with the silver-bladed hair refused to back down. He said, "I will do what I want, when I want it. You're not to tell me what is a waste of time. I get to decide. And even if it is a waste of time, I still want to do it."

Just as the two of them wanted to continue arguing, the leader of the group decided to intervene.

The leader was a small boy with a bald head and large, baggy clothes. He said, "I will advise you to at least wait until there is something tangible to be gained before you fight. But if you insist, you can go on to fight. We will continue on our way to Dancing Orchid."

The guy with the silver-bladed hair decided to back down after hearing that. The five of them turned away from Arthur and went in another direction.

Arthur saw them linger for a while and leave. They were prey to him, but he didn't pursue them because the fight had drained a lot of his internal energy. He wanted to recover first before fighting more people.

He thought to himself, "The time will come."

He was eventually going to have to fight a lot of the disciples of the other sects, especially if he was to win his bet with Godfrey, so he didn't mind letting go for now.

After he was done resting, he and Thor continued on their way to their destination. It took them 10 minutes to reach this destination.

Unfortunately, when they got to there, the rank 3 object they were after was already being targeted by an elder. The elder was fighting the beast, protecting the object, when they got there.

They decided not to stick around to watch the fight since it looked like the elder would win. They decided to hurry up to the next location.

On their way there, Thor said, "In total, we've spent 40 minutes in the secret realm. So we still had more than 23 hours to hunt."

Arthur nodded in agreement and said, "Yes, we still have time."

The two of them were riding on their pet and iron horse. This saved them energy and will make sure that they won't be tired for their next fight.
