Mountain Sitting Immortal

Chapter 341: Milton Family.

The fact is that without the tyranny of the Blood Skull sect, the Black Bones will have no one to restrict them and will be free to take anyone they fancy to turn them into corpses.

The truth is that tyranny will always exist. He doesn't care about this being right or wrong. As long as the power of tyranny is in his hands and in the hands of his faction, he doesn't care that about the rest.

So he chuckled about the Blood Skull sect being the lesser of being two evils. He could afford to chuckle about it because none of the two evils could affect him negatively.

He was having a good time examining everyone, but he couldn't remain amused when he saw a certain group with red hair and red eyes.

This group was made up of 40 people. But only 9 out of the 40 had red hair and red eyes. These 9 appeared to be the true members of the cultivation family, while the rest were loose cultivators who paid to be here.

What made him stunned him silent was that these 9 people looked like Jade and his mother, Lady Vena. They had identical features that one would be able to use to identify them as members of a certain family. This made him have certain thoughts.

"Could this be the family that Mother came from?"

The more he looked, the more this thought became valid. But it was ultimately inconsequential.

He was just curious about his mother's origins and the similarities between her and Jade. He has a suspicion that they were related. Even if his suspicion is confirmed, it will eventually mean nothing to him.

He doesn't care about Mother's family and doesn't plan to dwell too much on it. He just wants to satisfy his curiosity, so he brought out the dossier about the 5 sects and the 25 families that the Apex Alliance had given him.

He had only read about the other sects. He didn't care enough about the other families, and the fact that there were so many of them made him ignore their information entirely.

Now that he had another reason to inquire about a certain family, he gained the interest to leaf through the book to see the information about the cultivation family.

However, no matter how he went through the book, he didn't see a family of red-haired and red-eyed people. All the 25 cultivation families were accounted for in the book, but no one had such physical features.

So he began matching the groups to their families in the book to see where the red-haired people belonged.

He wasn't able to match every family because some families were still on their way over. But he was able to discover that there was another group of people within the group that the red-haired people were in.

This group of people he just found didn't have any easily observable defining feature. The one thing they had in common was moles on their neck, which were easy to miss at a glance.

When he looked carefully, he realized that the group of people with moles on their necks were the majority in the group of 40. At his first count, he discovered 17 of them.

According to the book in his hands, these 17 people belonged to the Milton family. And apparently, they were the true owners of the group, while the rest of the people in their group, including the people with red hair and red eyes, should be loose cultivators who paid.

He thought to himself in amusement, "If only I had shown a little interest in the cultivation family hosting us, I would have discovered this earlier.

Actually, he didn't find out that they were coming to the territory of the Milton family until he boarded the ship. But he didn't care then, and to be honest, he wouldn't have cared until the very last moment.

If not for the physical features of the 9 people, which reminded him of his mother, he wouldn't have noticed that the people of the Milton family had moles on their necks.

"So it seems that the red-haired people don't belong to any official cultivation family. They should be pretty powerful if they can afford the ticket for 9 people."

He still hadn't satiated his curiosity, so he decided to dig deeper. This time, he decided to ask his mother directly.

Unfortunately, he wasn't close to the Blood Skull sect, so he can't send a message to her through his identity card.

His mother usually stations herself in the city just outside the sect so that she will be close enough to reach him through his identity card. Since he is too far away from her currently, that won't be possible.

He decided to shelve the inquisition from his mother until after the inter-sect examination. In the meantime, he made up his mind to approach one of the red-haired people and get more information about them.

After making up his mind, his gaze wandered to the group of humans with white hair. This was the Edwin family, which Orga belongs to.

The people of the Edwin family were 25 in number. So they made up most of their group of 40.

Another thing he noticed was that they were carrying swords. This confirmed what his mother said about them being a sword cultivation family.

The people of the Edwin family are used to being tyrannical and having their way in their territory. But Arthur didn't seem impressed with them.

He said to himself, "It is just a sword. What's so special about that?"

He is mocking the Edwin family and the Sword Way sect because of their focus on swords, but he is not mocking the power of swords.

He isn't mocking swords because he knows that if swords were not powerful, the Sword Way sect wouldn't have managed to defeat the previous Pleasure Palace sect and become the new fifth sect.
