More than a dragon Warrior

The wrath of Kung Fu

[3rd POV]

Everyone is afraid of the unknown.

Especially when the unknown cut them down like grass, they felt an obscene terror they had never felt before.

It made them want to bend down and vomit out thier heart in all its beating mess.

Too fast to see, too fast to hear and too fast to feel.

Even thier lifeforce could not save them because they died even before they even realized it. There was no moment where they were aware that they were dying.

They were living and then they were dead. There was no space or time between life and death. There was no dying.

Even the world was not fast enough to comprehend what had occurred. It was a glitch in reality. A fleeting moment in time when logic was defied for being too slow.

It was Kung Fu's wrath upon the cowards who thought they were plants - beings who grew while staying still; power obtained in the absence of action and sacrifice.

The sound of shattering reality boomed out and burst the eardrum of those who were in its vicinity. Then it was followed by the holler of air as the atmosphere was punctured.

Everything was cleaved.

The ground ripped apart from the shockwave.

And the silence that followed was oppressive and heavy.

...

...

...

"What...?" Samudragupta rose from the ground as the dust slowly settled onto the ravaged city that would never recover.

He spread out his senses and he felt his heart turn into a lump of ice.

Five hundred of his soldiers were dead in a literal instant. Thier bisected bodies littered the city and thier wide eyes hint at the death they never saw coming.

.
.

*KAWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!*

Samudragupta turned his head robotically towards the sky. That was when he saw the giant eagle flying above. The perpetrator of the slaughter he just witnessed.

"Hahahahahahahaha." The sound of laughter rang out. At first, he thought it was the devil laughing in his mind but then his ears healed and he realized it was coming from his side.

He turned his head towards Tai Lung who was trembling while holding his stomach. His peal of laughter echoed in the deadly silence and would surely hunt Samudragupta in all his remaining days.

"Why do you look so shocked?" Tai Lung asked in amusement while Samudragupta just stared blankly.

"You think your great Empire is the only one with power? You think you are the only general with an army? You make me laugh." Tai Lung said with a trail of chuckles.

"Wake up to reality."

When an animal found itself in a great threat, it either ran or fought as hard as it could. Samudragupta was the second kind of animal.

"HHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" His roar sent a shockwave that ripped the earth and tore his throat.

His muscles bulged out in a grotesque manner and his veins became visible, hosting a glowing orange blood inside.

This was not supposed to happen.

This was not the plan.

Samudragupta would have never thought of this future even in his wildest dream.

But sometimes, reality has a way of exceeding our expectations in its cruelty.

He had known most of the warriors that he led due to thier long lifespan and from the many battles they fought together.

To see so many of them dead hurts him both as a king and a soul He lost precious assets and friends.

Anger fueled his chi and maddening rage was behind every action he took henceforth.

[Tai Lung's POV]

He was the most annoying bird I had ever met.

But when he was on your side, I admit he was quite fun.

The attack was just as lethal as I remembered and so was the despairing aftermath. I could somehow relate to my opponent's anger as I had also experienced it once.

"Stop running AWAY!!"

*BOOOOM!*

A powerful swing of his arm hit me on my abdomen, forcing me to spit out blood as my body was rag-dolled away.

My body spun around - and this time, without my control - as I skipped on the ground like a stone skipping across a lake.

Until I crashed into the wall on the other side of the city.

I pushed myself up and wiped the blood from my mouth. It tasted like iron and fire.

"Fucking monster, haha." I let out a laugh before i looked to my side and noticed all the civilians who were all cowering near the city wall.

All exits were still blocked by the city guards so they remained stuck inside the city.

*BOOOM*

I punched the thick wall with a chi-infused fist even though I barely had energy left. It created a hole big enough to act as a gate.

"Leave the city." I said and then I shot towards the enemy. I didn't want to bring the fight close to the civilians.

I may be a villain and have an evil side but I had standards. While I wouldn't let saving innocent lives if it drag me down or make me sacrifice, I did not approve of mindless slaughterslaughter either.

*FWOOOW*

If chi was money, I would be a brokie who could barely afford daily sustenance.

Samudragupta was so physically strong that I could never hope to match him without empowering myself with chi, which I was barley able to do right now. I couldn't really utilize techniques which require chi either so I was forced to fight the old school style.

Samudragupta and I moved from one place to another, exchanging blows that looked like equal exchange. but I was slowly getting pushed back. If I did not do something soon and continued like this, I would lose.

But I was not worried because I was not one to stay still and watch the inevitable happen.

I ducked under his kick by the breadth of my hair and a I took advantage of his awkward posture to lunge forward and attack.

He did not even try to respond to my attack, knowing that I was not powerful enough at the moment to penetrate his armour of flesh but that was a mistake as my claws moved straight at his eyes.

!!!!!!

It was too late to react. He closed his eyes and moved his head but the claw of my middle finger plunged into his right eye. A squelching sound was followed by a splurt of blood.

"AHHHHH!!!" He roared. His body tensed and he caught me. I leaned too much on my attack and he was able to catch me.

He tired to pull me closer to him so I popped out my shoulder intentionally to escape his grasp. Then I finally used my jiu-jutsu knowledge since teachinv them to Viper. I hooked his legs and then applied pressure on the back of his knee which caused him to fall on one knee.

Opening my jaw, I bit down on his neck. My fangs sank into his thick layer of skin and I flexed my neck muscle, trying to tear a huge chunk of his flesh.

"You fucking CAT!!!" He screamed and finally punched me to the side of my body. That was what I wanted as I released my bite and then allowed the force of his punch to send me flying away from him.

This was a better alternative than him grabbing my leg and smashing me like a toy or snapping my spine.

He smashed the ground in anger before he charged at me again with mindless abandon. I also got up to my feet and ran at him.

But as we were about to clash, I took a giant leap and jumped above him. It was then that Mighty Eagle swooped down and caught me.

The wind rushed against my fur and I climbed on his back. I finally took a much-needed breath as I watched Samudragupta becoming smaller and smaller.

"You look bad." Mighty Eagle said, "I admit, it pleased me to see you like this."

"If not for what you just did I would've ripped out your wings again."

I said and checked my body to see the extent of my injuries. There was not much: a few broken bones, ribs, internal bleeding, nothing I couldn't handle. The only thing stopping me was my deep exhaustion from fighting all day and low amount chi.

"Are the others coming?" I asked.

"Yes, they would be reaching the city soon enough. We need to hold on for a few more minutes and they'll be here. Po will also arrive so he can heal you." Mighty Eagle said and I shook my head.

"I don't need to be healed, I need a way to get more chi."

I said and went into thought.

It was in times of need - it was times like this that a warrior could either grow stronger or die. And death was the best motivator for innovation.

I thought about how Samudragupta was able to gather such a huge amount of chi in such a short time. If I could replicate that and even get some, it would give me enough to change the tide of the battle until the rest reach the city.

"Incoming! Brace yourself!!" He yelled and then I instinctively grabbed onto his feather as he spun around to turn himself into a living tornado.

Then huge rocks, spears and all kinds of derbies were thrown at us at the speed of a bullet. Yet the wind blew them off before they hit us.

The rest of the living soldier had finally came back to their senses and recovered. And now they were angry and throwing whatever they could find at us.

"Should we just retreat?" Mighty Eagle asked and I almost consider it before my eye caught someone standing ontop of the city wall.

Mei.

"Wait, I have a better idea." I said and right after that, a dark figure loomed over us.

We both looked up to meet the eye of an angry mammoth. The sight of such an animal so high in the sky was so absurd that it stopped my brain for a moment.

Mighty Eagle swerved and barely dodged Samudragupta's punch but the shockwave from that alone blew us away.

"Stall him." I said.

"Wait what!!"

I ignored his protest and jumped off his back. Then I descended towards the wall of the city where Mei stood.

She stayed still and simply looked up to meet my eyes. She did not bother running away and she watched me land right in front of her.

..

..

..

"Are you here to kill me?"
