Chapter 328: Madeline’s First Time
After Laurent found himself hovering before Udras with an expression filled with hatred, the Death Knight pointed his palm to shoot a spell, but before anything could materialize, Laurent had appeared mere centimeters away from him.
The vampire's fingers were sharper than knives, and as he stabbed the five of them against Udras' chest, he pushed him against another building with incredible force, utterly destroying it and making it crumble on his opponent.
For a brief moment, Maya thought that would be the end of it. However, when the earth started to rumble, she rushed to the area where Madeline crashed.
'I don't know what's about to happen, so I'll just take her somewhere else…' Maya pondered, running through the corrupted and destroyed streets.
From the demolished building where Udras landed, a beam of red light shot up into the sky, followed by large pieces of debris that were flung upwards along with it.
At that moment, a massive demon with a horn appeared, flinging even more debris around the place with Udras standing on top of the demon as if it were a horse.
Maya recognized the massive demon. Not because she had seen it in person but because she remembered seeing the same type of demon when watching the footage of Dante's fight against Astaroth.
"A behemoth…" Maya muttered as she kept rushing to Madeline's aid.
Standing on four legs, the behemoth charged forward toward Laurent, leaving a wake of destruction behind it and pointing its long horn at the vampire.
Meanwhile, Maya kept rushing to look for Madeline and found her with her leg trapped under a large wall that crumbled on top.
The vampire sentinel was still conscious, but she had lost an eye from Udras' "Rapture" spell. Luckily, even though the slice traveled from her face down to her torso, it was difficult for a vampire to die of blood loss.
Madeline had been controlling the flow of her blood to prevent it from leaking out too much, and after receiving such an attack, she didn't have the strength to free her leg from the rubble.
When Maya tried to lift the wall, she struggled for a moment. Then, realizing that it would take a crane to move the heavy structure, she began thinking of an alternative.
At that moment, she remembered that Madeline was a vampire, and they were supposed to get stronger if they drank blood.
"Hey, Madeline…" Maya said to the girl, who was still trying to pull her leg from under the rubble.
"If you drink from my blood, would you be able to free yourself?" she asked.
Madeline stopped pulling for a moment and gazed at Maya, locking their eyes with each other.
"I've… Never done it," the vampire replied with a somewhat embarrassed expression.
Of the entire vampire clan, Madeline was the youngest of the vampire sentinels, and she never had the need to increase her power since she had never encountered opponents as strong as Udras.
Maya didn't want to force her into drinking blood since she also didn't know the extent of the effects, but she couldn't come up with any other idea to free her quickly.
When the battle between Laurent and Udras became louder, Maya stared at Madeline expectantly, waiting for her response.
"Ahhh, dammit! Fine, I'll do it!" Madeline exclaimed, giving one last tug at her leg to no avail.
After Maya crouched down and placed her neck closer to Madeline, the vampire asked if she was sure it was okay for her to drink her blood, prompting Maya to nod confidently.
Madeline closed her eyes and chomped on Maya's neck, making her wince for a brief second as she felt the vampire sucking the blood out. After ten seconds, Maya gave Madeline a tap on the shoulder as if asking if it was enough.
*Gasp!* Madeline regained her breath as she separated her fangs from Maya's neck, a small drop of blood dripping down her mouth.
"Are you okay…?" Maya asked, seeing that Madeline dropped her head in a slightly dizzy manner.
Suddenly, the vampire widened her eyes and clenched her muscles, obliterating a piece of the wall that had trapped her leg with seemingly no effort, leaving Maya speechless.
The pink-haired woman expected the buff to be just enough for Madeline to lift the wall slightly and slide her leg out. However, the effectiveness seemed to be much more powerful than that.
Even though Madeline's leg was entirely bruised and bloody, she was still able to control her flow of blood to prevent the injury from getting worse, and as her eyes began to glow red, she turned her head to the side where Udras and Laurent were still fighting.
"I'll go help my brother…" Madeline muttered, extruding her bat wings and leaving in an instant, not allowing Maya to say anything.
A few blocks away from their location, Laurent avoided an attack from the behemoth and clawed the side of its large body, prompting the demon to let out a deafening roar.
Udras' hand glowed with a purple hue, and as he gently placed his palm on top of the behemoth, the creature began sharing the same glow.
'Is he powering up the beast?' Laurent pondered.
The moment that the behemoth charged at Laurent once again, the vampire lord prepared himself to take the charge head-on.
Suddenly, Madeline appeared and punched the massive beast on the side of its body. She wasn't using her claws or any blood magic. She simply punched the monster as hard as she could.
As the side of the behemoth's body caved in from the force, the monster was blasted away against another building, prompting Udras to jump off its back so he wouldn't get caught up in the attack.
Laurent was shocked for a moment. The sight of his little sister punching the behemoth with a furious expression was plastered on his mind, and as he gritted his teeth, he jumped and followed up the offensive with a claw attack on Udras, stabbing through his chest with his open palm.
