Chapter 1836: Rampage
Carrying a sonic whistle, the gigantic lion king corpse shot towards Godok the Great like an artillery shell.
Godok the Great's steps maintained the same rhythm, appearing slow, but actually faster than a sprint.
Faced with the whistling lion king's corpse, Godok the Great suddenly swung his fist.
Tear!
The lion king's corpse was directly torn apart, flesh and blood splattering wildly. Godok was drenched in blood, his step only paused for a moment.
"Such a petty trick, die."
Godok the Great was like shrouded in a layer of violent blood mist, suddenly appearing in front of Li Yao.
Li Yao did not retreat at all, his large sword on his back chopping down fiercely.
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding...
In a flash, the two collided countless times, fists and the large sword clashing, scattering a mass of sparks. To the audience, their movements were incredibly fast.
In the mercenary group's eyes, with each hit, Li Yao's health would drop a notch, but strangely, it quickly filled back up each time.
"What's going on?" Iron Tower asked in confusion. Obviously, even weapon collisions would make Li Yao's health drop below several smaller grades than a world-level chief. With such continuous strikes, his health should decline.
If it were them, even Iron Tower's steel body using a shield to block would likely end up with dangerously low health, no way to fight without healing.
"It's bloodsucking, his bloodsucking is terrifying." Blood Rose exclaimed, "To be able to stand toe-to-toe with a world-level chief without losing out, and in melee, really is... Oh right, did you record it?"
The most leisurely one to others was naturally the Hunter, who also handled selecting angles for recording, then strategizing and such, of course editing exciting videos for mercenary group promotion later.
"Recorded it, I just recorded a disappointing video of a fist exploding a camp-level entity, it was so thrilling, this video will surely go viral," Hunter said excitedly.
"You're not uploading now, are you?" Blood Rose's complexion changed.
"No, no, we're on a secret mission, the employer warned early on, how could I mess up," Hunter quickly responded, "You've really underestimated me, Boss Lady."
Blood Rose let out a sigh of relief, "Our mission was just too difficult to complete, especially the last leg, which was way too risky. The rewards aren't even given yet, we can't screw up."
Everyone nodded in understanding. That final battle required a supreme effort to win, with rewards just in reach, messing up wasn't an option.
However, they all watched the battle below with unblinking eyes, the fight was simply too wild.
Both sides in the center of the arena, with no fancy skills, it's purely a primitive exchange of force. But if either side's positioning or thinking can't keep up, they would suffer heavy damage.
"It's just too fierce, I didn't notice on the way here. Prairie Fire is so fierce, it's shattering my self-esteem, he can overwhelm me in melee while multitasking," Iron Tower lamented.
"You just realized? Told you to watch videos before, but you ignored them, now you're shocked," Hunter sneered.
"How was I supposed to know a ranged fighter could do this in melee," Iron Tower grumbled.
In the arena, Godok the Great continuously pounded on the large sword.
"Your weapon's quality isn't good, it's about to break," Godok the Great struck another crack into the large sword.
"Then let it break."
Li Yao also punched the large sword himself. The sword instantly shattered, its fragments splattering outwards.
Ding ding ding!
Godok the Great sneered, "Without a weapon, you're dead."
Godok the Great knocked weapon fragments away, yet still some lodged into his body, causing not a few wounds, but he didn't care, as he punched towards Li Yao's head.
However, his face changed drastically as Li Yao suddenly unfolded his metal wings, his fist pounded on the wings.
Then countless metal feathers shot out, both sides separated again to a distance of dozens of yards, facing each other down.
Li Yao's wings had several fist imprints, while Godok the Great's body was pierced by dozens of metal feathers, blood spurting out.
Godok the Great roared furiously, dozens of feathers accompanied by dozens of blood arrows sprayed out. At this point, his gaze held no contempt, only solemnity.
He couldn't believe that Li Yao had so many tricks, thinking the opponent's broken weapon was a killing move, but the real killing move was his wings, seemingly an opportunity to kill, but actually a trap, outmanoeuvring each other, ultimately Li Yao proved superior, injuring him.
Even having destroyed an opponent's weapon, he felt no joy.
"Not bad, your strength is strong enough to push me back. I need to take this seriously." Godok the Great's fist weapon absorbed blood, glowing with an eerie light.
"I've already adapted to your attack rhythm and agility. I need to get serious, today it seems I shall become king." Li Yao's body suddenly shrouded in a layer of intense flames, like a fire god, "Truly unexpected, this lion king with an ultra-powerful flame lion bloodline is lucky for me. Otherwise, dealing with its burning would be tricky. Now borrowing the flame lion bloodline power to battle you, I wonder what you think of this."
"This doesn't obscure the grade gap between us," snorted Godok the Great, charging at Li Yao with large strides, "Hope you have more weapons, my shattered weapon fists thirst for more."
"As you wish." Li Yao brandished a Green Dragon's Roar, in a hammerhead form.
Whirlwind Charge!
Li Yao surged forth like a storm, Godok the Great unwilling to concede, his toe sharply pushing off, fearlessly rising like an artillery shell, fist raised.
Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom...
This time the clashes were even more ferocious, the Green Dragon's Roar carrying explosive attacks, each strike accompanied by an explosive blast.
The Gordok Ogre quickly became like charcoal, yet his form moved faster and more frenzied, trading injuries to hammer out fist imprints on the Green Dragon's Roar.
"Dragon's head, huh? Even a true giant dragon I can shatter with one punch. Kill!"
Godok the Great showed extreme wildness, not caring about his injuries, exchanging hundreds of moves in a short time.
Godok the Great's form was charred black, exuding a burnt meat scent, while Li Yao's Green Dragon's Roar became deformed.
"You're strong, but after all, you're just camp-level. Although I don't know how you keep up with my attack rhythm, how long can you sustain this state?" Godok the Great probed, seeing no sluggishness in Li Yao's moves.
Li Yao sneered, "Let me make it clear, I was born with divine strength, this isn't my strongest state. You should be thankful I'm camp-level, if I were world-level, you'd not withstand three punches."
Arrogant...
