As humanity entered the Fourth Epoch, the era of interstellar voyages, the original role of the Light Cotton Birds was no longer relevant. However, due their earlier selection and training as military birds, which had resulted in high obedience and affinity towards humans, they gradually transitioned to becoming pets for decoration and performance.

These birds could cooperate with each other to weave arrays in the sky for performances, creating spectacles reminiscent of Venus spinning and meteors racing across the sky—quite a sight to behold. As such, they were also partly used in opera performances and large ceremonies.

However, it was towards the end of the Fifth Epoch that the Light Cotton Birds truly flourished.

With the expansion of wars, many planets were destroyed by deadly toxins and radiation. In order to survive in such environments, people urgently needed beings capable of wielding Angel Sequence spells and abilities.

The Angel Sequence contained numerous defensive skills that could shield against deadly toxins and radiation, as well as partially purify some toxins. There was a great demand for Transcendent beings of the Angel Sequence during that era. However, due to the insufficient number trained among humans, and given that for some simple isolation spells, it was sometimes not worth dedicating scarce personnel to learn the Angel Sequence.

Because of this, the Light Cotton Birds, which already had an affinity for the Angel Sequence, were rediscovered and extensively bred as auxiliary companions to help people survive the harsh environments.

In this period, the development of the Angel Sequence also underwent significant changes, gradually diverging from the original training methods. As the Light Cotton Bird's branch became the most widely seen Angel Sequence, it was later simply renamed the Radiant Feather Sequence to differentiate it from the old Angel Sequence.

Moving into the mid-Sixth Era, the Federation had been established with the harsh environments of the past no longer present. The breeding of Light Cotton Birds gradually declined, but the newer Radiant Feather Sequence, after nearly a thousand years of consolidation and development, picked up the Angel Sequence's strengths once more. These included a focus on willpower and psyche, along with proficiency in combat and purification—effectively combining the strengths of the Angel Sequences from the Third Epoch and the early (old) Radiant Feather Sequence of the Sixth Era, making them quite removed from the once-popular Light Cotton Birds.

Finally, a few hundred years ago, a branch faction emerged from the Wind Whale Courtyard. They settled in Jade Skirt, establishing their own courtyard there, and after breeding a variety of extraordinary creatures, they successfully broke new ground by cultivating the life of Radiant Feather Sequence 8: Oracle Wind Kite, reviving this long-silent Transcendent species.

Having finished reading about the history of the 'Light Cotton Birds', it was already evening. The sky outside was filled with rosy clouds. Tilan opened the window, hugged the large spider, and went to the balcony to enjoy the view for a while before returning inside.

After a swipe of its paw threw off the course of the fiery wolf, it opened its jaws and bit into the wolf's neck, eliciting continuous whimpers and pleas for mercy. Had the tiger exerted any more force, its saber teeth would have completely pierced through the wolf's neck.

"That's enough, come back, Xiao Yue." Calling his companion back to his side, the boy patted the tiger's shoulder, stroked its chin to calm it down, and then approached his opponent.
