Miracle Summoner

Chapter 1958: -1917- [ Army ]

"Boom————!"

Amidst the raging sandstorm, two colossal beastly figures collided ferociously, creating a shockwave that shook the very atmosphere and pushed the surrounding sandstorm back.

The clash between the dragon and the beast was like the collision of two meteors, the resulting impact producing a thunderous roar that reverberated like rolling thunder, shaking the eardrums of anyone nearby.

"Roar!"

The dragon let out a howl of pain, its massive form unable to stop itself from retreating.

"————!"

The Sphinx, too, was heavily impacted, sent flying backward as if struck by an immense force.

The clash ended in a stalemate.

However, this only heightened the ferocity of both sides.

"Roar!"

The dragon let out a savage roar, flames surging within its maw, which were then unleashed as a searing torrent of fire toward the Sphinx.

"Buzz!"

In response to the dragon's fiery breath, the Sphinx's gem-like eyes suddenly began to glow, then flashed brilliantly, releasing a similarly scorching beam of light to meet the incoming flames.

"Boom————!"

The next moment, a massive explosion erupted as the fiery breath and the scorching beam collided. Flames and shockwaves surged violently.

The explosion triggered a wave of fire that spread in all directions, raising the desert's temperature once again, making it even drier and more stifling.

But neither the dragon nor the Sphinx was willing to yield. Amidst the roaring flames, they charged at each other once more.

Thus began a brutal battle between these two colossal beasts in the skies above the desert.

Meanwhile, Rozen and Mash had already leaped off the dragon's back, landing on the desert sands below and gazing up at the fierce battle above.

It was indeed a savage and harrowing sight.

The dragon roared continuously, its claws like sharp blades that relentlessly slashed at the Sphinx's body. Its tail repeatedly smashed into its opponent, and its gaping jaws lunged toward the Sphinx again and again in an unbridled display of violence.

In contrast, the Sphinx didn't possess as many weapons as the dragon. It relied on its heavy, pillar-like limbs to strike the dragon, along with its body slams and tail whips. Though less overtly violent than the dragon, it was no less terrifying.

On one side stood the dragon, the mightiest of the phantasmal species.

On the other, the Sphinx, a divine beast equal to the dragons.

The collision of these two extraordinary entities was a spectacle of pure intensity, leaving one in awe.

To make matters worse, the dragon's fiery breath and the Sphinx's eye beams continued to collide repeatedly, causing explosions that altered the terrain. The desert became a chaotic battlefield, with flying sand, raging flames, and a trembling atmosphere disrupting even the sandstorms.

"Senpai!"

Mash looked to Rozen, seemingly asking if she should intervene.

"No, there's no need."

Rozen shook his head, merely expanding a barrier to block the oncoming sandstorm and shockwaves. Then he infused his summoned dragon with his mana.

"Roar!"

In the skies, the dragon battling the Sphinx let out a resounding roar, its entire body suddenly becoming transparent and transforming into a dense aggregation of mana.

At that moment, Rozen transitioned his fully materialized Beast Vassal into a semi-materialized state, causing the dragon to radiate an aura of terrifying mana.

The dragon, now resembling a living nuclear warhead, surged forward with immense mana, accompanied by the mournful cries of the atmosphere, charging directly at the Sphinx.

"Boom————!"

The most earth-shattering explosion yet resounded.

In an instant, shockwaves erupted like dazzling flashes of light and swept across the desert like violent storms, causing the sand to rise skyward, forming an avalanche-like surge that spread in all directions.

"————————"

Rozen chanted the Ushusama Myo-o Mantra, capable of purifying the impure and tangible, transforming the protective barrier around himself and Mash into a radiant shield that safeguarded them both before the avalanche-like sandstorm engulfed them.

In the vast desert, a miniature sandstorm raged unabated, eventually forming a towering sandstorm tornado that reached the clouds.

It wasn't until an indeterminate amount of time later that everything finally settled down.

A transparent barrier resembling a protective shield appeared amidst the dispersing sands, revealing Rozen and Mash once more.

"Are you okay, Senpai?"

Mash opened her eyes, saw she was unharmed, and let out a sigh of relief. She quickly turned to Rozen for confirmation.

"Of course, I'm fine." Rozen chuckled as he patted Mash's head. "But it isn't."

Rozen was referring to the Sphinx, which had fallen from the sky and crashed heavily into the ground.

Under the dragon's direct hit, amplified by sacrificing its endurance and defense for destructive power and explosiveness, the Sphinx's body was left charred all over. One of its limbs had been vaporized, a third of its body was gone, and even its head had been destroyed, leaving only a mutilated corpse.

Yet, despite such injuries, the Sphinx struggled to rise, swaying unsteadily.

"Its head was destroyed, and it can still stand…!?"

Mash was stunned by the sight.

"It seems this divine beast possesses extraordinary endurance in combat."

Rozen expressed his admiration, though his actions were merciless.

His eyes suddenly ignited like flames, turning into fiery red Heaven's Eyes.

"Boom————!"

Before the severely damaged Sphinx could fully rise, its body suddenly exploded as if from within, consumed by blazing flames.

The Sphinx was blasted into countless pieces.

"Buzz…"

Shortly after, like a defeated Servant, the Sphinx's remains disintegrated into particles of light and vanished.

"Confirmed elimination of the Sphinx."

Mash exhaled in relief and reported the outcome.

But Rozen sighed.

"No, it's not over yet. That was just the appetizer. The commotion has already drawn them here."

Rozen said calmly.

"Them?"

Mash froze, then seemed to realize something and widened her eyes.

At that moment, the beings Rozen had mentioned arrived.

"Whoosh—whoosh—whoosh—"

Amid the flapping of wings, one after another, massive shadows emerged from the sandstorm.

"An army of… Sphinx…!?"

Mash's face turned pale.

Indeed, the Sphinx's army had appeared.

Dozens of Sphinxes surrounded Rozen and Mash from all directions.

Rozen looked at the many Sphinxes encircling him.

At some point, a smile crept onto his lips.

"Interesting…"
