Miracle Summoner

Chapter 1956: -1915- [ God-King ]

About a minute later, Artoria [Alter] departed from the Mountain City with the Mountain People soldiers in a grand procession, heading to intercept the Holy Knights' army.

Alongside the Mountain People soldiers, Rozen also summoned his monster army from Aincrad, totaling over 100,000 in number.

After all, since Rozen had already accounted for potential troop losses, he aimed to prevent such losses as much as possible. By having Artoria [Alter] lead his army of familiars, even if the familiars were completely exhausted, Rozen only needed to expend mana to resummon them. The only cost was his mana, which could be replenished at any time, resulting in no real losses.

Thus, Artoria [Alter] brought a limited number of Mountain People soldiers, primarily assigning them to rear support, transportation, intelligence gathering, and other similar tasks. The rest were left to guard the Mountain City.

Within the Mountain City, Rozen also left tens of thousands of golems under the command of Bedivere. These would provide sufficient combat strength when necessary.

In addition, Rozen summoned a legion of dragons, entrusting them to Jeanne [Alter] for command. Accompanied by Hassan of Serenity, Jeanne flew out on the back of the dragon army, heading toward the Holy Land.

In terms of combat strength, Rozen's presence ensured that it was never a concern.

This confidence was a major factor in Rozen's decisive choice to rescue the lost Mountain People. Otherwise, if faced with real threats and concerns about potential losses, Rozen might not have made such a bold decision as easily.

This also made Rozen fully appreciate the benefits of increasing his power.

With greater power, many concerns would vanish into thin air, allowing actions to be taken confidently. There was no need to tread carefully, nor to act cautiously like in the past when navigating Singularities. Now, he could stand tall and face challenges head-on.

Shortly thereafter, Rozen prepared to head to the desert region with Mash to rescue the Mountain People there.

However, before setting out, Rozen recalled an important question and sought confirmation from Artoria [Alter].

"Who is the Sun King?"

Indeed.

Who was the Sun King?

Among the three kings in this Singularity, Rozen had already learned the identities of two of them. However, the Sun King, whom he had yet to encounter, remained a mystery.

Since Artoria [Alter] was one of the three kings and had spent six months in this Singularity, she should have already discovered the Sun King's true identity.

Therefore, before venturing into the desert, Rozen wanted to clarify the identity of this potential adversary.

In response, Artoria [Alter] did not hesitate.

"The Sun King is a pharaoh from ancient Egypt who ruled a vast empire during the 12th to 13th centuries BCE. He is also the most renowned pharaoh of ancient Egypt, known as the strongest pharaoh in history."

Artoria [Alter] explained to Rozen.

"He's a troublesome opponent, one of the most dangerous and formidable types as a king."

"His true name is — Ozymandias."

"Be careful, Master."

After leaving this warning, Artoria [Alter] set off to intercept the Holy Knights' army, while Jeanne [Alter] led the dragon army away.

This left Rozen and Mash riding on another dragon, flying toward the desert region.

---

High above the clouds, a massive dragon flapped its wings, carrying Rozen and Mash toward the desert region.

Seated on the dragon's back, Rozen and Mash gazed ahead while listening to communications from Chaldea.

"Up ahead is the desert region," Roman informed them in a much more serious tone than usual.

The reason was simple.

"Just like before, due to the sandstorms and the exceptionally dense mana in the atmosphere, Chaldea's observation and scanning systems are unable to function properly," Da Vinci remarked with some frustration.

"Based on the current readings, the desert region heavily interferes with Chaldea's systems. Once you enter, maintaining communication with Chaldea will likely become impossible," Olga Marie's voice carried a hint of tension.

In other words, once they entered the desert region, the connection between Rozen, Mash, and Chaldea would be completely severed.

At that point, everything would depend solely on Rozen and Mash.

Moreover…

"That area is under the control of King Ozymandias. Just thinking about it is unsettling," Roman sighed.

"Indeed," Da Vinci agreed. "To think that even the god-king of Egypt has appeared. The difficulty of this Singularity is simply too high."

Olga Marie, on the other hand, seemed gritted with frustration and exasperation.

Rozen understood the sentiment.

"Ozymandias, an ancient Egyptian pharaoh also known as Ramesses II or Meriamun, was the pharaoh of Egypt's 19th dynasty," Mash explained with a tense expression.

"In ancient Egyptian, 'Ramesses' means 'Son of Ra,' and Ra is the sun god in Egyptian mythology. Thus, 'Ramesses' translates to 'Son of the Sun God,' while 'Meriamun' means 'Beloved of Amun.' With these titles, King Ozymandias' name is synonymous with divinity and even surpasses the gods. He is also one of the most renowned politicians, military leaders, warriors, artists, and architects of ancient Egypt, widely regarded as the epitome of Egyptian culture."

Mash continued, "Because pharaohs were often considered equals to gods or even incarnations of gods, Ozymandias earned divine reverence through his accomplishments. He is recognized as the strongest pharaoh in ancient Egypt. By fostering cultural exchanges, he brought prosperity to Egypt. He was not only a brave general but also a king who married countless beauties and fathered over a hundred children, leaving behind many monumental architectural feats. He called himself the son and incarnation of the sun god Ra, positioning himself as the one and only entity that no one could defy."

"For this reason, Ozymandias is both an unparalleled wise ruler and an invincible tyrant. Throughout human history, perhaps the only king with a comparable rank would be the first and strongest King of Heroes—Gilgamesh."

"It's likely that this pharaoh is at least on par with Karna in terms of rank and could contend for the title of the strongest among all Servants."

Such was the extraordinary existence of the Sun King.

Before Rozen's arrival, among the three kings in this Singularity, the Lion King was the most dominant and powerful, followed by the Sun King, and finally Artoria [Alter] as the Black King.

Now, Rozen was about to enter his domain.

"The god-king of the sun... huh?"

Rozen touched the coat he wore and smiled.

"If that's the case, I'd like to see it for myself."

That was Rozen's thought.

"Anyway, be careful! Don't get yourselves killed!" Olga Marie sternly urged.

"We'll be careful, Director," Mash replied.

With that, the dragon entered the desert region amidst the raging sandstorm, vanishing into the haze.

"Alright! Let's go!"

At Rozen's command, the dragon surged into the sandstorm, disappearing from sight.
