Chapter 14 - I won't hurt you
Yamakawa's body went limp, collapsing onto the cold floor. No blood seeped from his chest, a small white dart jutted out, barely visible pulsed softly, releasing its contents into his bloodstream. His eyes, fluttered and rolled back as thick white foam bubbled from the corners of his mouth.
The room seemed to hold its breath, thick with tension.
'Was that necessary?' Luminous's voice cut through the silence. Jin's eyebrow twitched at the tone, as he calmly tugged black gloves on.
". . . I don't know." Jin's voice came slow. "Sometimes, Luminous. . .we just gotta do what we can."His footsteps echoed faintly as he made his way to the teacher's desk.
Yamakawa's bag rested against the side, and Jin crouched, pulling out a sleek, black laptop. He cradled it in his palm for a moment before pressing the power button. The screen flickered to life, casting a cold blue glow on his face, his contrast to his red eyes.
"Even if that shall destroy an innocent family?" Luminous voice wavered with judgment a tremor of sadness woven into the question, but Jin didn't look up.
His gaze lingered on a small silver pendrive, rolling it between his fingers absentmindedly. It caught the light, glinting like a promise — or a threat.
"This... is temporary," he muttered, his voice cracking guilt clawing its way through. "I don't hate him."
CHI
The laptop screen glitched and vibrated, the lines distorting the machine itself was protesting. Jin's fingers twitched but he continued, his expression hardening.
"The pain of those children," [whispered], his eyes distant and voice hollowed "Is far greater. . .And I told you. . .and I will say it again." a sharp and bitter edge to his voice. "I will pull the lever, even if it spreads blood on my hands. . . which has. And you know what my friend?" He paused, voice low and steady.
"It's okay."
Luminous sat still on the grassy land silent, eyes distant while Jin continued his own work. The weight of his words hung carried through the 2 different world
"To be a true hero," Jin murmured, as if convincing his own heart of some twisted truth. "you really have to, go to and through hell." His hands were quick, pulling out the pen drive, fingers moving with with precision as he slid a card under the table — a final gesture.
Without another word, Jin walked toward the door, his back straight, the weight of his actions carried in the sharpness of his stride. He paused with his hand on the handle, the door half-open, and glanced back at Yamakawa's still body.
"It's not a poison, Just a memory shot," Jin said, his voice soft but firm. "He'll be out for a while... good enough to throw off the police and detectives."
Luminous just closed his eyes, lying in the grassy field, the weight of unsaid things thick between them. "How can you be. . . like. . . you're just a child of your race, hardly grown if i understand your ace correct, and yet the way you it's—"
"Like someone who killed?" Jin interrupted, turning just enough for Luminous to catch the shadow of a grin pulling at his lips, wide and laced with sarcasm.
". . . Hmm," Luminous hummed in acknowledgement.
Jin chuckled, a bitter, almost manic sound. "Who knows? Maybe it's my otherworldly knowledge. Maybe, in my past life, I was the greatest man, the one who fought the world single-handedly, destroying evil, overthrowing countries killing corrupt politicians right?" His grin widened, sharp and mocking as if daring the universe to confirm it. he took one glance of his phone before moving.
"Yeah, yeah, sure," Luminous scoffed, shaking his head at Jin's twisted antics. Yet beneath the scoff, there was a flicker of unease, as though Luminous, too, wasn't sure just how much of Jin's words were a joke.
And with that, the door slid shut behind Jin, the room falling back into the heavy silence he had left in his wake. The empty hall rang with footsteps, but there was no shadow or being to be found.
The time for school had already been over, yet some students hardly cared loitering around the school and there were his targets.
'The more, the better.'
Jin's lips curled into a thin smile as his eyes flitted from one figure to the next. He scanned the group casually, but his gaze had a predator's focus. Where's the piss head? His mind ticked over, searching for the missing piece, but the subject in question was nowhere to be seen. The faintest hint of annoyance tugged at the edge of his thoughts.
'Oh well, I'll just ask them.'
With that, he crossed the yard, his footsteps measured, his hands loose at his sides, as though he were walking into just another conversation.
As he neared the small cluster of delinquents, the two he had in his sights noticed him. Their expressions twisted—eyebrows raised in bemusement. The skinny one, leaning against the wall, nudged his friend and muttered something under his breath as the other 5 observed him.
Jin's eyes flickered between them, assessing, calculating.
'The mother finger and red bat are here, pest teeth, cow dick, deep throat and ' His gaze lingered on one in particular—a kid with hair that stood out like a cluster of toothbrush bristles, a thick mass sitting on a frame bulkier than the rest. He was bigger, sure, but something that made Jin's lip twitch upward again, this time in quiet contempt.
'His quirk... tsk, wasted on him.' Jin's eyes roamed the kid's broad frame, noting every twitch, every fidget of his muscles. The gap between them felt like nothing more than a formality.
"The fuck you looking at, HA!" Toru, the skinnier one, called out, sliding halfway behind the larger kid as if that would shield him from Jin's steady gaze.
"Puff! Look at who has come crawling back," the one Jin had mentally dubbed _toothbrush_ said with a sneer, his voice loud enough to draw the others' attention.
Jin, unfazed, tilted his head and rolled his hand lazily, as if he were about to toss away a trivial piece of garbage. He raised his other hand, palm up, a mock surrender. "I come in peace"
"Didn't they already expel a shit like you?"
The air between them thickened with challenge, but Jin's response was calm, almost dismissive. "Look, Paul, I'm not here to pick a fight." His words hung in the air, casual, but his eyes stayed locked on Paul, reading the dark undercurrent behind his tough-guy façade.
"Ha! Like you even can." the long-neck kid behind Paul interjected, his face pulling into a mocking grin as the brown head boys strands of hair sprouted unnervingly from his head, stretching toward Jin as if to emphasize the power gap between them. "How can a quirkless loser win against someone with a quirk?" the other boy said.
'This fucker' Paul shot the kid a glare, his eyes darkening, a storm brewing behind them, but Jin spoke before the tension could spark into violence.
"Ha~ let's forget about all that." His voice was light, almost playful, but the glint in his eye was sharp. He stopped a few feet away from Paul, keeping the distance between them deliberate.
"I am leaving the country so thought i'll hand you guys some parting gifts."
The scoffs came quickly.
"Here Jin slid a hand into his pocket and pulled out a small, folded paper a flick of his wrist, he tossed it toward Paul, the paper fluttered through the air and landed on the ground paul, silently looked at the paper and jin.
"Heard you were serious about this whole stuff, contact this person. They might do something for you."
Paul picked the paper, his face twisting in scepticism. His eyes darted down to it, unfolding it carefully, the others leaning in over his shoulder to get a better look. For a brief moment, silence filled the space between them, the earlier jeers forgotten as Paul's expression darkened, his eyes scanning the bold, black words.
FUCK UR MUM.
His hand clenched "THE FUC-"
CRACK!
Paul's face turned pale white as he bent over clutching his crotch
"AUUUUU!" a wide roar erupted from Paul's mouth as something cracked between his legs.
The scream was guttural, raw, torn from his throat as something between his legs snapped with a sickening sound. It wasn't just pain—it was the kind that turned his stomach and rattled anyones very core.
An eerie, shared sensation rippled through them. Each of them winced, their hands reflexively moving to shield Their own jewels, as though they could feel the sharp, phantom pain slicing through their own balls.
They shifted uncomfortably, eyes darting toward Jin. His smirk—no, it wasn't just a smirk. It curled unnaturally, dark and twisted, like the grin of a DEVIL savouring its victim's torment.
Jin's fist shot forward with ruthless precision, slamming into his chin.
SMACK!
Paul's body crumpled to the ground Thud! like a marionette whose strings had been severed. His limp form landed awkwardly, the unconsciousness taking over.
The others stood rooted to the spot, paralyzed as a chilling wave of fear coursed through them. goosebumps rising on their skin.
Paul's eyelids revealed whites as a thin trail of blood trickled from the corner of his lips. His face was twisted in a grimace even in his unconscious state, his hand still clutching himself as if the pain hadn't left him, even in the dark.
Gulp!
One by one, they swallowed hard, the sound of nervous throats tightening the only noise in the room.
"Well then, you little dogs" he pointed at Tsubasa (red bat) and Toru (Mother finger)
"Better tell me where your master is. . . before I cut hot bog" he said with a smirk.
"DARN YOU!"
The kid with shark-like teeth let out a feral snarl, his body coiling like a spring before he ran toward Jin from the left, his jaws open wide, razor-sharp teeth gleaming with savage intent.
From the right, brown strands of hair shot out like whips, snapping toward him with blinding speed.
'Ha~ seriously.'
Instead, a slow smirk crept across his face as his eyes shifted, the usual red now glowing with an eerie yellow. Everything around him seemed to slow to a crawl as if the world had been reduced to a series of sluggish frames.
Jin stepped to the left, just out of range before grabbing the oncoming brown hair in one fluid motion. With a swift roll, strands wrapped around his fist.
"ARGH! WAIT—"
The boy Howled, his scream ripping through the air as Jin yanked hard. his head snapped forward, as he flowed right into the path of the charging shark-toothed kid.
'SHIT' a split second of realization—a moment of horror as the boy brought his hand toward his head. shark kid's eyes widened, panic flashed across his face.
'NO!'
His jaws clamped down, his teeth sinking deep, puncturing the hand spelling jets of blood in his mouth.
"AHH AAHHHHH!" his hair returned to normal as he rolled on the ground.
"N-no I-I didn't"
A wave of nausea washed over the shark boy.
ULP HURK!
Blood, thick and metallic, clung to his tongue, lingering like a vile memory.
CRACK!
A single, precise chop landed on the back of his head buckling his knees. dust kicking up around him as his body hit the ground.
Then, a shadow loomed overhead.
A massive, winged silhouette swept across the school grounds, casting the ground in darkness as Jin turned sharply, his eyes narrowing.
THACK!
SWOOSH!
The air itself seemed to ripple as a sudden gust exploded from above.
Dust swirled in frantic patterns as a scale collided with scales.—red-scales slamming onto the bloody blue scale The impact sent a tremor through the earth, and there, amidst the chaos, stood Tsubasa. his wings trembling with effort.
'Still not used to them' Jin muttered, eyes flicking to the bloody blue scales that now coated his hands.
'Told you, it's a bad plan' came the quiet response, but it was cut short.
"YOU HAVE A QUIRK!" Tsubasa's voice trembled, disbelief warring with fear as he stared at Jin's scales and hooked claws. Scarlet trickled from between Jin's fingers.
Tsubasa gritted his teeth, trying to pull his wings back, but they wouldn't budge.
Jin's voice rumbled, low and guttural. "I told you... I'm not changing my decision." His lips peeled back in a snarl, revealing rows of sharp, glistening teeth Blood trickled from his gums, sliding down his jaw in rivulets. His eyes blazed with yellow glow.
BANG!
A devastating kick crashed into Tsubasa's chin.
His vision went white, his mind reeling back.
But before he could regain his senses, Jin was there—quicker than a shadow, moving behind him, hands clamped around his wings with a grip like iron.
"Whas... yug doung?" his voice slurred thoughts muddled, but the pain—the pain was real, burned through the haze in his head, sharp and relentless.
Jin's voice was quiet, but the words fell like stone. "This is for your own good."
"N-NO WAI—"
SCHLUCHHH!
A sickening sound — echoed through the air the ripping of flesh from bone.
the once majestic wings now hung limp and shattered in Jin's hands. Blood spurted in wild arcs, staining Jin's clothes, and painting the ground red in violent bursts.
THUD!
Tsubasa's body crumpled, the agony too much for his mind to bear.
There was no scream—just silence, as his consciousness slipped away into the black. Blood gushed in torrents, pooling beneath him, dying the earth beneath him a deep, visceral red.
Jin stood over him, his chest heaving, his yellow eyes glowing like embers in the dark. His hands—once blue, now drenched in crimson—trembled. His gaze dropped to the torn wings in his hands, blood dripping from his fingertips.
"This bloodlust. . ."a low metallic sound whispered to himself. "I have to get used to it." His eyes, wild and dangerous, flickered toward the 2
Toru and the long-necked boy stood frozen, caught in the aftermath of brutality. Only a few seconds had passed, but it felt like an eternity.
Then, without warning, the long-haired boy snapped into motion. He ran—sprinting across the school grounds with desperate speed, tears streaming down his face. His legs moved in frantic strides, but his mind stayed behind.
Replaying the image of the monster he'd seen.
His yellow eyes, sharp and unforgiving fixed on them. standing over a mangled, lifeless body, blood coating his hands, sharp claws glistening in the orange sunlight, and two shredded wings hanging from his grasp like trophies.
His mouth, smeared with blood, revealed rows of razor-sharp teeth, a misty breath escaping through them.
"TORU"
He fell on his back as the beast's eyes met his, and rows of fangs parted to deliver the devil's voice.
"Don't run, I won't hurt you"
