MHA: A King's Legacy (BNHA x AOT)

Chapter 86: 86: Royal/Imperial Dinner

After the awards ceremony, Aiden gathered his parents, sister, and close companions in a private lounge within the UA campus.

As the group settled in, Eleanor fussed over Aiden, adjusting his collar and praising his performance in the finals. Max offered his boisterous but warm approval, though his proud gaze spoke volumes.

Aiden, however, seemed a bit nervous. He cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention.

"There's something I want to share with you all," Aiden began, glancing at Toru, who stood nearby, a mix of excitement and nervousness in her expression.

Eleanor tilted her head, intrigued. Seraphina raised a curious brow, while Celeste adjusted her glasses, her observant gaze catching the way Toru stood just a bit closer to Aiden than usual.

"This is Toru Hagakure," Aiden said, gesturing toward her. "She's my girlfriend."

The room was silent for a heartbeat before Eleanor's face broke into a wide grin. "Oh, my precious boy!" she exclaimed, rushing over to embrace both Aiden and Toru. "She's absolutely adorable!"

Toru, blushing furiously, stammered, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Fritz—uh, Your Majesty?"

"Eleanor is just fine, dear," Eleanor said warmly, holding her hands. "But oh, what a lovely couple you two make!"

Seraphina leaned against the wall with an amused smirk. "So, this is the girl who finally managed to catch my brother's attention? Impressive."

Kaela and Sera exchanged knowing smiles, already aware of the relationship for some time. Nimbus perched on Aiden's shoulder, twitching his nose curiously at Toru.

Baymax, ever the supportive companion, chimed in with a cheerful, "Congratulations, Aiden and Toru. Studies show that supportive relationships contribute to emotional well-being."

Max approached the pair, his imposing figure momentarily making Toru nervous. He looked down at her with a scrutinizing gaze, then nodded approvingly and smiled. "You must be special to handle someone like my son."

Toru managed a small laugh. "I guess he makes it easy."

The warm moment was interrupted when an attendant entered, delivering a formal invitation. Emperor Hiroshi extended an invitation for the entire group to dine at the Imperial Palace that evening.

"A dinner with fellow royalty, hmm?" Eleanor mused with a twinkle in her eye. "Well, how could we refuse?"

As plans were finalized, the family's excitement was palpable, and Toru's nerves slowly melted under Eleanor's welcoming demeanor and Seraphina's teasing charm.

By the end of the day, the newest addition to Aiden's circle had been thoroughly embraced.

The drive from Musutafu to Tokyo was nothing short of regal. The convoy, consisting of black, polished cars escorted by a fleet of motorcycles and a few military vehicles, moved in an unbroken line along the highway.

Flags of both Paradis and Japan fluttered on the lead cars, signaling the presence of both royal families.

Civilians along the route paused to catch a glimpse of the impressive procession, many waving enthusiastically as they passed.

Aiden sat comfortably in the same car as his parents, sister, and Toru, who was still reeling from the whirlwind events of the day. She had never expected to find herself in such esteemed company, let alone riding in a royal convoy.

She glanced at Aiden nervously, but his reassuring smile helped her relax. Nimbus was perched on Aiden's lap, curiously peering out the window, while Baymax, who couldn't fit in the car normally, was in his miniature form.

Eleanor was in her element, chatting animatedly with Toru. "So, dear, tell me about your family. What do your parents do?"

Toru blinked, momentarily overwhelmed by the Queen's warm interest. "Oh, um, my dad's an accountant, and my mom's a school teacher."

Eleanor clapped her hands together. "How lovely! Teachers are such unsung heroes, don't you think? And an accountant—how practical! They must be very proud of you."

Toru blushed. "They are, though they were a little surprised when I told them about tonight."

"I can imagine," Eleanor said with a knowing laugh. "But any parent would be proud to see their daughter standing alongside royalty. You must invite them to dinner in Paradis sometime."

Toru gave a shy smile. "I'd like that."

Seraphina, who sat across from them, chimed in, "So, Toru, what's it like dating Aiden? I imagine he's insufferable most of the time."

"Hey!" Aiden protested, but his sister waved him off with a smirk.

Toru giggled. "Well, he can be... a bit much sometimes, but he's also really kind and supportive. He makes me feel special."

"Aww," Eleanor cooed, clasping her hands together. "That's so sweet. My son, the romantic."

Max, who had been quietly observing the conversation, finally spoke, his deep voice commanding attention.

"It's good to hear that Aiden treats you well. Respect is the foundation of any relationship."

"Yes, Dad," Aiden said, though his tone carried a hint of amusement. "I know the rules."

Toru nodded earnestly. "He does, Your Majesty. He's wonderful."

Max gave a small smile, and the conversation shifted as the convoy moved closer to the heart of Tokyo.

In another car, the Imperial family was equally lively. Emperor Hiroshi, a dignified man in his late forties, sat beside his wife, Empress Aiko, a graceful and poised woman with a gentle smile. Their two children, Prince Daiki and Princess Hana, were engaged in a lively discussion.

"Do you think Aiden is as stronger than the pro-heroes?" Daiki asked, his curiosity evident.

Hana, younger by two years, rolled her eyes. "You saw the fight, didn't you? He blew up the arena floor! Of course, he's stronger."[A/N: Misplaced my notes so I donno who was the older one between these 2.]

Aiko chuckled softly. "Hana, remember to be polite when speaking about our guests. But yes, Daiki, Aiden's strength is remarkable. His performance today was extraordinary."

Hiroshi nodded. "Strength is important, but so is character. I'm more interested in meeting the young man who has captured the world's attention."

"I wonder if he's as intimidating in person," Daiki said thoughtfully.

"I doubt it," Hana replied. "He seems more like the playful type."

Their conversation continued, mingling with the occasional updates from the convoy's lead car as they approached the palace.

By the time the convoy reached the outskirts of Tokyo, the sky had turned a soft shade of orange, the sun dipping below the horizon. The city lights began to shimmer, casting a magical glow over the landscape.

As the convoy wove through the streets, it attracted attention from pedestrians and drivers alike, many stopping to snap photos or wave.

Inside Aiden's car, the atmosphere was lighthearted. Seraphina was recounting a particularly embarrassing story from their childhood, much to Aiden's dismay.

"And then he tripped over his own feet and fell face-first into the cake!" she finished with a laugh.

Eleanor laughed along, while Max held in a few chuckles. Even Toru couldn't help but giggle at the mental image.

"That was years ago!" Aiden protested, his face red. "You're supposed to have my back, Sera."

"I do," Seraphina said, smirking. "But I also have a duty to keep you humble."

The group laughed as the convoy finally pulled up to the Imperial Palace gates. The towering structure loomed ahead, its traditional Japanese architecture illuminated by spotlights.

Guards in ceremonial attire stood at attention as the gates swung open, allowing the convoy to enter.

The cars came to a smooth stop in the grand courtyard, where the Imperial family stepped out first to greet their guests. Hiroshi, dressed in a tailored suit, approached the Paradis royal family with a warm smile.

"Welcome to the Imperial Palace," he said, bowing slightly at a 15 degree angle. "It is an honor to host you this evening."

Max returned the bow with a respectful nod. "Thank you for your hospitality, Emperor Hiroshi. We are honored to be here."

Eleanor stepped forward, her natural charm shining through. "What a magnificent place! You must be so proud of your heritage."

Aiko smiled graciously. "We are, Queen Eleanor. And we are equally impressed by the strength and unity of your family."

The two families exchanged pleasantries as the children were introduced. Hana, ever curious, approached Aiden directly.

"So, you're the one who blew up the stadium floor?" she asked with a mischievous grin.

Aiden laughed, scratching the back of his head. "Guilty as charged. I hope I didn't scare you too much."

"Hardly," Hana replied, crossing her arms. "I thought it was awesome."

Daiki joined in. "I agree. I'd like to spar with you someday."

"Anytime," Aiden said, his confident smile earning an approving nod from Hiroshi.

The group was then led inside, where the grandeur of the palace interiors left Toru awestruck. Eleanor whispered to her, "Breathtaking, isn't it?"

"It's incredible," Toru whispered back, her eyes wide as she took in the intricate woodwork, gold accents, and traditional tatami flooring.
