Chapter 24: [Lord Entropy] Yituo Feiya's Battle in Desperation (Part 3)_4
"Then let's decide by voting."
Caramel Snail initiated a vote in the group, and within five seconds, the results popped up.
"Oh my." Azi seemed surprised, chuckling: "That's quite unexpected."
"I didn't think everyone would be so in sync on this matter." Lanan clapped his hands, not forgetting to praise: "We're quite a cooperative team, aren't we?"
"Average, I'd say." Severston was indifferent, moving anywhere wouldn't affect his gathering of information from Ersha.
[Account has been switched]
Just as Li Aozi took over the sub-account, he read the results:
"Fertile Village."
The five of them, without exception, all chose Fertile Village at the Frost Plated Border.
"This is the last battlefield of the main battle."
Caramel Snail said in a deep voice:
"There's just forty-four minutes left to complete the final task. It seems Lord Entropy is destined to be defeated by us. Everyone, check if there's any missing resources; we might soon hit an animation and be forcibly migrated off the planet. If there's anything unfinished, prepare now and start again—"
"No." Li Aozi interrupted: "Let's teleport directly. Azure Star is now in the palm of Li Aozi, he should give us lots of freedom."
"That can't be said for sure..." Caramel Snail's gaze darkened: "You haven't seen the ruthless side of Li Aozi; he once ordered the bombing of a planet, annihilating billions of people on it."
"Azure Star is different." Li Aozi said with conviction: "I believe for Li Aozi, Azure Star is definitely different."
Caramel Snail was tongue-tied, unable to argue with Li Aozi, so he simply activated the team's teleportation. In the next moment, the team's characters transformed into countless particles of light and dissipated.
After a brief wait, the light particles recombined, forming humanoid shapes.
As soon as they landed, the incoming artillery fire nearly shattered their eardrums. As they looked up, Frost Plated's fighters were entangled with some strange flying machines made of scrap, their flight maneuvers extremely exaggerated, dropping to as low as 300 meters, letting the five-fold sonic booms reverberate terrifyingly over the land.
Yet, despite their wild arrogance in flight, no radar or anti-air missiles had any time to strike these aerial knights now.
All that was visible were rising mushroom clouds and smoke, no villages or undeveloped wilderness to be seen.
Smoke, smoke everywhere; the air here was thick with smoke, shockwaves and grenade fragments were as frequent as a real storm.
Under these circumstances, even activating [Eye of Truth] only revealed a dense pile of data, utterly unable to find living people.
"This is entirely an artillery battle—the scene's too grand."
Caramel Snail stood on a hill, with his task system prompting him that he had entered the battlefield of the final battle and couldn't exit the game until the task ended. Gazing at the scenery before him, he couldn't help but complain:
"How are we supposed to attack? The firepower density is way too high!"
Bang!
Li Aozi raised his hand to catch a stray bullet just past his neck, examining the shell with Mercury-Brass Core, studying the wrench and skull engraved on it.
"Scavenger."
Li Aozi said:
"This isn't just a battle between Frost Plated and Judgment Mech Cavalry; the Scavenger, one of Outer World's three major forces, has already been merged into the Judgment Mech Cavalry."
"Scavenger?" Caramel Snail was stunned, then brightened up: "I've got a plan!"
A few minutes later, five members clad in black and yellow tattered coats, with toolboxes filled with junk, parts strapped to their waists, wearing skull wrench badges on their arms, walked openly into the Judgment Mech Cavalry's base.
"Although Snail doesn't usually think much, when he does, he's truly a genius."
Azi looked at the mechanical soldiers around them, completely indifferent to their presence, and remarked:
"Playing games, you really need to be full of imagination, don't you?"
Li Aozi remained silent, multitasking between commanding the battle on his main account, specifically requiring Red Arrow Empire's pilots and rocket units to take off and eliminate Ersha, while on this side, following Caramel Snail and others as they advanced.
Time wasn't running out, and progress was satisfactory, yet just as Caramel Snail said, he always felt something was overlooked.
Lord Entropy's momentum was dwindling, accompanied by Azure Star's continuous advancement of all citizens, Ersha was shrinking in size, even Lord Entropy had started to remain silent, not commenting on the battle.
But it was at this moment that Li Aozi had a thought:
Are Lord Entropy the only enemy on Azure Star?
Though it may be hard to understand, from the communication outcome, Lord Entropy maintained a calm attitude throughout, and the whole cut-down process seemed less a deliberate extinction of humanity, more like a defensive retaliation under threat.
Although ultimately, Lord Entropy's existence brought peril to the entire Cosmos, this hazard, by nature, seemed more like a relation of uncompromising natural competition rather than the same revenge of blood debts."
The distinction between the two is quite significant.
[Judging by Lord Entropy's recent performance, the knowledge provided by Maxwell Consortium didn't truly stimulate Lord Entropy. Its capability is not purely destructive devastation, but more like altering probabilities, making everything more inclined towards itself.]
