Chapter 9: : The First Mecha Awakens
📘 Chapter 9
🌌 Scene 1: Aftermath of the Gate
The vault had crumbled. The mountain above it was gone.
Where once stood rock and ruin, now hovered a giant, spherical rift in the sky—crackling with Krono lightning, pulsing with data.
The first of the Three Gates had opened.
Zui lay unconscious in Zeron's arms, her body still glowing faintly. Her breathing was shallow, almost mechanical.
Zero crouched beside them, eyes flicking over her vitals. "Her heart rate's stabilizing, but the sync with the Astral Key… it's overriding her nervous system."
Rin clenched her jaw. "If we don't find a desync sequence, she won't last long."
Nyza—the ex-commander of the Phantom Unit—nodded grimly. "Then we go to the only place that might have it. The tomb of the First Mecha."
Zeron blinked. "The what?"
Nyza stared out toward the rising Krono storm on the horizon.
"Project Omega: Alpha-Kai. It was the first Mecha ever built… and it was buried under the capital for a reason."
🏙️ Scene 2: Capital Under Siege
Meanwhile, back in the floating capital city of Nexaris, alarms blared.
From the cracks in the sky, alien machines poured—sleek, serpentine warships and crab-like bots with plasma claws.
The Oblivion Core, already stationed in the city, did not attack them.
They welcomed them.
At the central tower, the masked figure known only as "The Architect" stood with arms behind his back, observing it all through a projection.
A voice whispered behind his shoulder.
"She opened the first gate."
"Yes," the Architect said. "And now we must ensure the First Mecha doesn't fall into the wrong hands."
"What if it awakens?"
The Architect turned.
"Then the world will finally remember why we buried it."
⚠️ Scene 3: Journey Beneath Nexaris
Nyza led Zeron's group through a forbidden tunnel hidden beneath Nexaris' market square.
The deeper they went, the older the world became.
Stone gave way to metal.
Carvings turned into holographic scripts, glowing faintly with Krono circuitry.
Zake, who had joined them with data feeds slung across his shoulders, gasped.
"These glyphs—they're not in any known programming language."
Zero ran his hand across the wall.
"It's not a language," he murmured. "It's a neural sequence. Whoever built this… wasn't human."
Zeron turned to Nyza. "You said it was the first Mecha?"
She nodded.
"Built before Krono was discovered. Powered by something older. Something we were never meant to touch."
They reached a colossal chamber—sealed by a door shaped like a sleeping eye.
Zake stepped forward. "It has a biometric lock… but three sequences."
He frowned. "One matches Zui's. The second—Zero's. But the third…"
He paused, eyes wide.
"It's… you, Zeron."
🧩 Scene 4: The Door of Memory
The door scanned Zeron's palm. Blue lines rippled out, matching the sequence.
Then it scanned Zero. Then Zui—still unconscious, but her aura reacted.
The door opened with a deep hiss.
Inside, they saw it.
Floating, dormant, towering higher than any building in Nexaris:
A black mech, covered in golden glyphs, its arms folded across its chest like a warrior asleep.
Its name glowed on its chest in fading violet text:
Ω - Alpha-Kai
Zero whispered, "This is… god-class."
Zake's devices trembled. "This mech doesn't run on Krono. It runs on… raw reality manipulation."
Suddenly, Zui twitched in Zeron's arms.
Her body levitated and hovered toward the mech. The mech's chest opened, revealing a pilot core shaped like a throne.
Rin screamed, "Zeron, she's syncing again!"
Zui's body dropped into the throne—her eyes opening mid-air, now completely white.
"System Recognized: Lucid Spark Alpha – Core Link Initiated."
🤖 Scene 5: Alpha-Kai Awakens
The mech's eyes lit up—purple.
The ground shook.
Above them, Nexaris trembled.
From the capital tower, the Architect's expression changed for the first time.
"It's awake. The Key has chosen its Knight."
The Omega Mecha raised its arm.
A blade of energy formed—five times the size of any regular bot.
Alien ships circling Nexaris turned their attention toward the tomb.
Zui's voice, modulated by the mech, echoed through the chamber:
"Target locked: Invader fleet.
Executing Protocol: Skyburn."
She launched.
The tomb exploded open as Alpha-Kai flew through the sky like a meteor.
With one swing, she cleaved a destroyer ship in half.
With another, she vaporized an entire swarm of bots.
But then—she paused mid-air.
Her body inside the mech spasmed.
Rin shouted into comms. "She's over-synced! The Key is draining her soul!"
Zeron's fists clenched. "I'm going after her!"
Nyza stopped him. "You can't fly, you don't have—"
But behind him, the vault core cracked open.
And inside it—something called to him.
A Krono shard—colorless, yet infinite.
It pulsed.
"You are ready."
Zeron reached for it.
And for the first time… his Krono ignited.
Not green. Not blue. Not red.
But a swirling, unstable mist of voidlight.
The color of nothingness—and yet everything.
The beginning of Purple.
