Chapter 76: : The Coreless God
📘 Chapter 76
🕳 Scene 1: A Weapon Born of Void
Location: Blackspace Rift – A Tear in Reality
From the core of a shattered dimension, Valken's engineers unleash something never seen before: a Coreless Mecha—a weapon that operates with zero Krono and no pilot.
It floats silently, shimmering like a mirage, a black skeletal frame lined with glitching red veins. They name it:
"Nullion" — The Coreless God.
A general watches nervously.
General: "But without a core, how will it function?"
Valken (smirking): "It doesn't function. It wills itself."
Nullion isn't controlled. It decides.
And its first target? The last remaining memory vault—The Echo Spire.
📚 Scene 2: The Battle at Echo Spire
Location: Echo Spire – The Memory Fortress of Earth
Zeron, Zake, Lira, and Serin race toward the Echo Spire in their mechas.
The sky above is unstable—stars flickering as reality shifts.
Nullion descends like a silent god. Every conventional weapon fails. Missiles vanish mid-air. Laser blasts reverse and strike their owners.
Lira: "It doesn't follow Krono physics. It's rewriting the laws as it goes!"
Zeron uses his Krono net to try anchoring Nullion, but it breaks free without even flinching. Worse—Nullion begins erasing parts of the Spire.
Entire archives dissolve into nothing.
Serin: "It's unmaking our past!"
Zeron enters melee combat, pushing his still-growing Krono limits. His blows miss, his mecha's systems glitch—until Nullion finally touches him.
Suddenly, Zeron hears a whisper…
Zui's voice: "Brother…"
His eyes widen.
Time slows.
Zeron: "Zui? Zui, where are you?!"
But the moment ends. Nullion retreats, mission complete—half the Spire's memories are lost.
🧠Scene 3: Serin's Confession
Back at base, Serin finally confesses to Zeron about his father's role in Valken's past.
She plays the recording of his father saying:
"Zeron must never awaken the Purple Krono until he's ready."
Zeron is stunned. He finally understands why his Krono remained sealed.
Zeron (quietly): "They were protecting me… from myself."
But his grief over Zui is becoming unbearable. Her name is fading from his memories, and only Zake can recall her now—barely.
Zeron: "If I awaken now, I might lose control."
Serin: "But if you don't… we might lose everything else."
🦠Scene 4: Halberd's Web
Elsewhere, Director Halberd meets with a secret circle—a digital council of traitors known as the Echo Thirteen.
Halberd: "Phase 3 is complete. Nullion destabilized the archive. Resistance will weaken."
Another member asks:
Masked Voice: "And Zeron?"
Halberd: "He's breaking—just a little more."
But Serin was secretly recording the whole meeting using nano-drones she planted earlier.
Serin (to herself): "You're not the only one who can smile and lie, Director."
🌌 Scene 5: Zeron's Dreamscape
That night, Zeron sleeps—and finds himself in a floating dreamscape filled with echoes of erased memories.
A child's laughter.
A broken toy.
A song sung by a young girl.
Zeron (realizing): "Zui… this is where she exists now."
In this dream realm, a tiny glowing fragment floats toward him. It pulses purple.
Voice: "You're not ready… but you are needed."
Zeron (clenching fist): "Then teach me."
A massive force of energy surges through his subconscious. When he wakes up, his eyes glow faintly violet.
