Chapter 35: : Lunaris vs. Harp Engine
π Chapter 35
βοΈ Scene 1: Sky Above the Storm
The clouds above Spiral HQ no longer drifted. They trembled.
From the east, the alien Harp Engine descended β an enormous construct with strings made of gravitational tension, strummed by invisible frequencies. With each note it released, entire cities across the globe experienced flickers in electricity, tremors in communication networks, and bursts of unstable Krono flow.
From the west, Lunaris ascended β a sleek, celestial Mecha of translucent violet, trailing threads of soft Krono mist behind her. Unlike traditional Mechas, she had no limbs of war β just smooth surfaces, radiant wings, and a humanoid chestplate pulsing to Zeron's song.
Above them, floating in midair like a divine conductor, Zui remained in her cocoon β her eyes glowing white, her voice humming along to the alien melody.
"The war begins now," Rest whispered, watching the sky from Spiral Tower.
π΅ Scene 2: The First Battle of Melody
As the Harp Engine strummed its war chord, the air itself seemed to slice.
Buildings shattered into harmonic shards.
Earth's surface trembled in rhythmic patterns β every frequency it emitted disrupted Krono flow.
Inside Lunaris, Zeron didn't sit.
He stood β weightless.
His eyes glowed a fierce violet.
Aina's voice echoed in his ears.
"You don't control Lunaris like a machine."
"You compose with her."
Zeron raised his hand β not to strike, but to conduct.
"Let's compose a requiem."
A vibration pulsed through Lunaris.
The air bent.
Light coiled around her like ribbons.
Then came the answer β Lunaris's first note.
It didn't explode.
It unraveled space in a clean line across the battlefield.
The Harp Engine recoiled, three of its strings severed.
Zake, watching through Spiral's war monitor, gasped.
"He just... sliced sound itself."
βοΈ Scene 3: Battle on the Ground
Inside Spiral HQ, the civil war had escalated.
Commander Reysen and Zake led dozens of Spiral Mecha pilots loyal to Zeron, forming a defensive barrier around the HQ's core.
General Ryne, backed by rogue elite operatives and automated units, advanced with cold fury.
"He's in sync with alien tech," Ryne barked. "That makes him a target."
Zake's Krono, glowing a steady deep blue, surged into his fists.
"You want to kill him because you fear what you don't understand."
Ryne activated his custom Mecha: Breaker Reign β a massive black mech with drill arms and suppression cannons.
"I want to kill him because he'll break the order."
Their duel erupted across the Spiral corridors β sparks of Krono tearing through steel, shattering windows, and toppling chambers.
But this was no ordinary brawl.
Each clash of fists was philosophy versus future.
πΏ Scene 4: Aina's Warning
While Zeron focused on the aerial battle, Aina stared up at Zui's cocoon.
Her face was calm.
But her heart trembled.
She turned to Rest.
"There's something you don't know."
"The aliens... they're not trying to conquer Earth."
"They're following a prophecy."
Rest narrowed his eyes.
"A prophecy?"
"What kind?"
Aina whispered:
"The Crown of Harmony."
"Every thousand years, the Symphony finds a world with a 'Zero Node.'"
"A soul capable of rewriting Krono β of harmonizing all discord in the galaxy."
"They don't want to destroy Earth... they want to crown its conductor."
"And Zeron is the chosen one."
Rest's breath caught.
"Then why arm for war?"
Aina replied softly.
"Because before crowningβ¦"
"They test."
π Scene 5: Collapse of Harp Engine
Back in the sky, Zeron raised both hands now, threads of Violet Krono spiraling out of his palms like violin strings.
He didn't scream.
He didn't rage.
He sang.
Lunaris responded with one pure note β crystalline, perfect, uncorrupted.
A column of pure resonance shot upward, wrapping around the Harp Engine.
Its gravitational strings snapped like wet thread.
Its structure bent inward.
And with a final harmonic shriek, it imploded in silence β vanishing in a spiral of light.
From the ground, all across the world, people looked up and saw:
A flower of violet light blooming in the sky.
π» Scene 6: Zui's Tears
As the Harp Engine fell, Zui's body relaxed mid-air.
The cocoon began to crack.
Not from outside β but from her own heartbeat.
A tear rolled down her cheek.
She wasn't unconscious.
She was watching.
Feeling.
Hearing.
And remembering.
Inside her mind, a single voice echoed.
"Sister."
"I'll protect you."
Her eyes opened β still white, but now trembling.
She whispered softly.
"Zeron... you sang for me."
π§ Preview β Chapter 36: The Silence Protocol
Zui falls back to Earth β but not alone.
A second alien construct awakens in the north: the Cello Core, powered by entropy.
Ryne activates the "Silence Protocol" β a forbidden Spiral weapon that targets Krono itself.
Zake is severely wounded.
Aina reveals that Zeron's final test is to resist the Cello's Despair.
And Rest uncovers a traitor inside Spiral... someone close to Zeron's past.
